Honey Lemon Soda

First-year high school student Uka Ishimori wants a fresh start. In middle school, Uka was given the nickname "Rocky" by her peers, being misunderstood as having no emotions when she was actually shy and introverted. As a result, Uka was relentlessly bullied and experienced a lonely, isolated school life. Now, Uka is determined to change.

During the first week of school, Uka accidentally gets drenched in lemon soda by her classmate Kai Miura—whose cool personality is the complete opposite of hers. After the incident, Uka is surprised when Kai performs small acts of kindness for her, encouraging her to gradually break out of her shell. Like a lemon soda, bubbly and exciting feelings are beginning to stir.

Preliminary (11/12 eps)

Till episode 10 its seems cringe and crazy but from ep 11 it changes my point of view
Ep 11 was not predictable it felt like a part of story is misssing or it was skipped but whatsoever This wholesome ep made my mood it was so energetic.

Characters
its a shoujo manga so it feels slow in character developement and as much as i remeber it is adapted from a famous manga ,
I read the manga until chapter 76 it felt slow but from the sports fest it was giving vibes of the best romcom manga. The character uka strugges with making freind, talking ... and just the main girl we find in skip and loafer. its a normal shoujo anime with a nice story after ep 9 as i found it cringy

Holy budget Batman! That felt like I was watching her fever dream. Great stuff we got at the end there, but there's so much to unpack in this episode. They must have just been flying through chapters to try and get to end cause some of that stuff really just came out of nowhere.

Mixed Feelings

Preliminary (6/12 eps)

The first thing I will say about this is it's not for everyone. The story itself isn't the most unique thing we've seen, and it has some romance anime cliches, but to me, it's super cute and enjoyable. I can see why it would be cringe to other people, but just like many things, not every anime will be for everyone. The art and animation in this is wonderful, and it has a good OST on top of all of that. The story is something that I feel a younger audience can relate to more, and for the older people, it can bring you back ... to when you were the ages of the characters in the show. I would say if you are into some cute romance anime that some people find cringe or cliche, then give it a shot, and if not, then this probably isn't for you. Overall that's my take away from this.

This turned into a flop.

This anime started slow, but pretty animation. You could tell they would take their time with each scene, and every small victory that Uka would have.
It’s easy to get impatient with her personality and Miura’s continuous hot and cold temperament gets pretty old. Overall they’re both not the greatest main characters.

Then let’s get to episode 11, where you can tell they ran out of their budget.. The pacing and style of this episode feels like a completely different series. Full of still frames, avoiding faces as much as possible, some very odd animation choices and super sped up. It seemed ... like there was supposed to be some important moments in this ep, but it was hard to tell what was going on. Not to mention how bad the animation was. I don’t have high hopes for episode 12
