New Interest Stack
Interest StacksThere will be times that I want to watch the next episode but as soon as the op/ed played, I'll vibe to it first. If the anime has more than 1 op/ed, I'll put the specific song/s that I liked in the description. Also, these are all based on my personal taste in music ^^ Associated words: Light (Visually and/or Thematically), Character-centric, Dialogue-heavy, Personal, Artsy, Trippy, Existential, AND/OR Satiric A list of the most popular and well known tsunderes. This stack will balance between fairly conventional but beautiful art style -for example 3-gatsu no Lion- and unique artstyle -like Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei-, with some maybe not-so-worthy mentions in the middle. A comprehensive watch order of the Monogatari series, which includes every entry of the Monogatari franchise. I'm INFP, so I love watching characters who have the same perspective. I think this is interesting to watch some Fi-Ne dynamics in others. This is a list of anime that Quentin has either watched and liked or anime that he would most likely enjoy, based on his filmography of non-linear narratives and overall taste of foreign movies, for example. Coming-of-age stories are about characters growing into the next stage of their lives, from adolescence into adulthood. Magical realism involves the inclusion of fantasy elements in stories that otherwise take place within the real world, normalizing them as part of the world even if not everyone can see it. I believe that these subgenres beautifully compliment each other, and I have an affinity for stories that do this. The addition of fantastical elements into a realistic setting emphasizes the mundanity of our lives, and the addition of magical whimsy can highlight the beauty within our mundane lives, and create a heightened sense of beauty and atmosphere to scenes, or emphasize the sense of the mysterious unknown that comes with growing up. Fantasy can sometimes serve as a parallel to things that exist in our lives, and in other cases, the fantasy can be something we need to leave behind as we grow up. Regardless of how or why it's incorporated, I find it to be a wonderful combination, so I'm going to highlight some anime coming-of-age stories with magical realism that I enjoy. The first season of any show listed will count for the entire series. Although none of these anime have a tag/theme that denotes them as psychological, they all use cinematographic tactics often seen in psychological media to explore different aspects of the human condition and tackle atypical and philosophical topics. jXcileJ: You want Romance?? Monogatari (物語, "Story") is a Japanese light novel series written by Nisio Isin and illustrated by Vofan. The plot centers on Koyomi Araragi, a third-year high school student who survives a vampire attack and finds himself helping girls involved with a variety of apparitions, deities, ghosts, beasts, spirits, and other supernatural phenomena, which often serve as proxies for their emotional and mental issues. Between November 2006 and August 2021, Kodansha published 28 volumes in the series under its Kodansha Box imprint. All of the series' story arcs share the common title suffix -monogatari (物語). Yes, there is something of a MAL equivalent in Japan. |
