Skip to Loafer

- both are romance & comedy - have a similar wholesome feeling - feature an awkward female protagonist & a very popular male MC - center around finding friendship 

Country girl goes to Tokyo and changes the life of the boy/boys she meets with her attitude skip and loafer focuses more about the friendship/relationships and heroine tarumono focuses more on proving oneself and overcoming challenges 

Both shows have: -Comedy and romance. -A cast full of charming characters, all very different from each other. -A show focused on love, friendship and different kinds of affections and relationships. -Characters dealing with realistic conflicts.  

Ok although doesn't seems that much similar, sometimes watching skip loafer somehow reminds me of seijo no maryoku because as we know that Sei character share in concept with mitsumi and Albert and sousuke are looks alike.  

Karma exists! 'Skip to Loafer' seems to be a payback to 'Ookami Shoujo' in both stories, as we have similar-looking characters. In 'Ookami Shoujo,' the black prince treats his girlfriend like a dog, but in 'Skip to Loafer,' the girl treats her crush as a dog. Although the stories mirror each other in some common grounds of seeing each other as cute pet animals, they contrast each other in some other areas. The black prince is a very toxic, possessive character, whereas his counterpart in 'Skip to Loafer' is more supportive. As a result, these stories share the same ingredient but have different outcomes. 

Both "Oshi no Ko" and "Skip to Loafer" delve into the entertainment industry, providing a unique perspective on the challenges and dynamics within. In "Oshi no Ko," the focus is on the idol industry, exploring the relationships and struggles of aspiring idols. "Skip to Loafer" complements this theme by delving into the world of manga creation. Both series capture the intense competition, passion, and personal growth of their respective characters in pursuit of success in the entertainment world. If you enjoyed the behind-the-scenes aspects and character-driven narratives of one, you're likely to appreciate the other. 

Both series are in the comedic slice of life genre with just a tiny bit of romance sprinkled on top, carrying little to no drama elements at all. Both series also show the countryside of Japan in a very comforting way while simultaneously depicting the wholesome side of female friendships. However, Skip and loafer is a little bit more on the realistic side, focusing a lot on teenage problems and feelings whereas Non Non Biyori’s characters are way more chaotic and all over the place - but I wholeheartedly recommend to watch both of them, especially when you’re feeling stressed or sad :> 

Overall they may not seem all that similar, Mitsumi is an ordinary high school girl while Mob is an insanely powerful esper but I think they are similar in the sense of their wholesomeness. Both explore the everyday lives of a 14/15 year old student and the audience gets to watch these characters fall down and get back up again (quite literally), as they push themselves to become better, not giving up on achieving their goals. If you enjoyed STL because of Mitsumi’s attitude you might also find yourself enjoying watching Mob too. Both of these series are also super funny but can be super emotional and moving too. Both series show love in all its forms, with the bonds shared between characters being one of the things that makes them both so wonderful. read more 

Cute slice of life and character development throughout the show, although skip and loafer doesn't really focus on the romance part Hananoi-kun to koi no yamai lets the characters explore the meaning a lot more. A lot of cute moments and both place in a high school.  

Wholesome shows of two friends who bring out the best in each other and slowly realize they have mutual feelings for each other. Realistic depictions of how people talk and bond with each other. Brings a smile of my face every episode. 

-Slice of life, comedy, school life and romance -Both series are LGBTQ+ friendly although in "Skip to loafer" the male and female lead don't play a part in the queer community but there's transgender representation in the show and the author herself worked on a BL manga too: Welcome Back, Aureole (Okaeri Aureole) -Endearing characters, emotional romance, and empathetic messages. These heartfelt shows feature an introspective coming-of-age journey, handled sensitively and thoughtfully. -These animea exude heartfelt sincerity, mellow energy, and tender messages about love and friendship. -Skip to Loafer: In order to pursue her dream of bringing positive changes to Japan, Mitsumi Iwakura-a sparkling high school student moved from the outskirts of Ishikawa Prefecture to high school in Tokyo after graduating from junior high school. As an individual who is new to the bustling city, she understands that there will be hurdles that she will have to overcome. Nevertheless, she remains optimistic and excited about the new experiences that await her. -Sasaki to Miyano: Is a BL anime series about the tender love story between two high school students. The main character is a BL fanatic who befriends an upperclassman, introducing him to the world of Boys Love manga. As they bond over their mutual interest, their relationship develops from a casual friendship to a blossoming attraction. read more 

Not a romance-drama like this one. They instead have the same cozy vibes when you're watching. Aware: multiple men and all main. 

For you guys that looking for a romance anime that aren't full of cliches and tiring tropes, then these two shows are just for you. Skip to loafer is more a drama anime than romance, but that doesn't mean it was void of any romance element in it. Some sprinkle of romance subtext were thrown really subtle and well-timed. Meanwhile, Insomniacs after school (Kimi wa Houkago Insomnia) is pretty much a straightforward romance shows. I liked both of these show because how good the character's writing are and how they dealt the relationship between the main cast. It was very much natural and realistic 

• Both are coming of age drama series/movie with little bit of romance in it. • Both have similar vibes and is very reliable to your own life. • In "Skip to Loafer" a country girl movies to a big city for studies while in "Omoide Poroporo" it's kinda vise versa. • Both of our protagonist learns new things and tried to adapt there new life style. 

Both have easily likable, energetic heroines that you want to root for with a fun supporting cast. With more of a focus on comedy than romance these are both good shoujo-esque anime for people who don't really like shoujo anime that much. 

Follows the story of high school students learning to navigate a world that's new to them. If you like shows that inspire you and make you want to be the best version of yourself with no regrets, this is for you! 

While Nodame Cantabile main focus is music, the mood both anime set is pretty similar in my opinion: both are light-hearted slice of life animes with a similar amount of comedy and romance and revolve around healthy relationships and the personal growth of its characters. Both main characters are straight-forward but weird girls, although in a different way, while their levels of effort towards their goals are quite the opposite (at least in the beginning).  

Both the girls in Araburu Kisetsu no Otome-domo yo. and Mitsuki in Skip and Loafer have realistic, male-gazey free portrayals of what it is to be a teenage girl, to grow up and fall in love. 

"Skip to Loafer" and "A Sign of Affection" both revolve around themes of interpersonal connection and personal growth. Both anime explore the journey of characters as they navigate relationships, emotions, and self-discovery in a heartwarming and relatable manner, resonating with audiences through their authentic portrayal of human experiences. 

Cute highschool romances and journeys, There's barely any largescale, romantic drama. Really nice slice of lifes and I find that both are wholesome. Both MCs bring the best out of eachother. Only difference is Horimiya does progress on the romance plot more, but that's to be expected since Skip is a SOL before a highschool romance.  

Both are warmfull romance show from the same season Super likable characters. Have a lot in life to learn.  

They have a similar vibe where the female lead just wants to live her life without knowing that there may be potential relationships around her.
