Def : Through the eyes of a woman, women are seen as people with feelings and intelligence. The focus isn't necessarily on what the eye can see but on what the heart can feel.

all romance animes ive watched, mostly shoujo, with a few shounen.

Anime for a common audience that includes representation of marginalized communities without being narrowly focused queer or quuerbaiting content. The purpose of the list is to try and neutrally compile a list of shows with a diverse cast that isn't subject to the heavy fascination with ships and other wishful thinking. Therefore, you will not see any "heavily hinted" and other typical speculation for such stocks here.

"Lesser known" to me is going to be defined as any show with under 400,000 viewers listed on MAL from now on, to prevent me from filling this list with just shows that I like but aren't really "lesser known".

Romantic related animes that I as a romance fan have watched and love. A heart fluttering story that will gives you butterflies. Mostly shoujo and shounen, with a few of josei and seinen.
p.s. I put the very latest season of the series, not including ovas or specials. There are also some movies.
No ecchi, harem, bl or gl.

Big dose of laid-back Romance animes with Wholesome romance, and without any Love-triangle, Missunderstanding, and rival girl. (If there is any rival they clear up fast.)

***One exception under the "the rivals clear up fast" is [Kimi Ni Todoke]. There the first season second half is full-on rivalry, but its worth the watch because the love earned in the end***
