Otona no Bouguya-san II

I was really surprised when I found out that this show has more than 1 season. While I didn't hate the first season, there really wasn't anything special about it, just some slight humour.

The second season is no different with 4 minutes of comedy. Is it good comedy, defiantly not. While some episodes do give me a chuckle it is too short, meaning that there really is only one punchline per episode. Mostly always something thing to do with a mistake which causes some ecchi moments.

Animation is pretty unique with some episodes being like a retro video game with the characters drawn in as sprites, ... and text boxes shown for their dialog. However they over use this, unlike the previous season. I want to see more of the "normal" animation/character design, the over use is getting quite repetitive. The character design is basic but suits their purpose for show.

Overall there is no real reason to watch this unless you read the manga or enjoyed the first season.

We continue selling more sexy armor to more customers in this season. Who would have guessed? Well there has been some episodes that are not about selling underwear but instead telling about the everyday lives of the workers. Such as we saw a day in a life of their pet rat who honestly does almost everything. I fell like the voice actors and the animator had a blast making this show and it shows in it.

Story: It is literally about selling underwear so yeah, can't go wrong with it.

Characters: They are the same as before. Liliette is still the same brute who is cute ... as heck, Kurtz is the same man who cant handle erotica, we have a flat chested loli witch and a loli demon lord. Such a diverse cast. Of course the store owner is a true man of culture

I mean, watch it if you want but you won't miss anything if you don't watch it. But it literally takes 36 minutes to watch this so yeah

Otona no Bouguya-san II (2021)

Honestly, season 1 was good but this was so confusing. Firstly there is the 4 minute or so the main part of the show which is actually pretty good. You then also have some side story that makes me wonder what people were on when they did it and finally you watch the episode again from the start with cast members talking about it which was cute but pointless.

The art of the main segment is a good standard but the rest is meh. I do enjoy the old school video game style of the show, to be honest though. I ... love the ED walking on the globe.

The sound is good but still very average.

Characters are the same and some new ones come in too. The plot they follow is clear and simple but they don't have much anything about anyone.

The show is alright to watch. Whilst it has absolutely nothing on season 1 I would say it is fine. I would be very surprised to see it come back again.

Some animes want to be hentai but fail at both.
This short series is similar to "Peter Grill and the Philosopher's time" and is almost as terrible. And sexist as hell.

Still it had quite some potential, and all the ingredients for success : a comical artstyle, charming ladies (but not men, unfortunately). And a bit of femdom - a guilty pleasure of mine.
If you want to see a short moment where it was well executed, see the beginning of ep. 5. The rest is garbage.

This anime was made as some kind of joke, as if the company left a small budget for a fun pet ... project of one of their employees - probably Junichi Yamamoto, the man the opening calls a "pervert".

If there is one guy that is to blame for this mess, it's him.

I pity the voice actresses : they were asked to do a boring audio commentary at the end of this and we can clearly see that they have nothing to say.
