First let me get all these out of the way-

Honestly, if you were a long-term nantzu no taizai fan and season 3 made you cry this is a little compensation that you can find. Is it amazing? No.

Like everyone else this was one of my first shounen titles and at that point in time it was awesome but as The market became more and more saturated with shounen with similar flavor you realize nantsu no taizai was never much special,


If you were a long-term fan who has been looking forward to healing the pain of season 3 this may just do it.



If you have more than 200 + anime watched and a couple of shounen under your belt it will only be good for the first two seasons and season 3 will be basically a waste of your time and you will drop it there anyway.


If you are just getting into anime this title is an amazing place to start.

It's the end of everything...that for a huge series like Nakaba Suzuki's Nanatsu no Taizai a.k.a The Seven Deadly Sins, and what a shit-ton of drama from start to finish: the strong start with A-1 Pictures and Aniplex's backing for the first 2 seasons, then the unfortunate tragedy that is the original canon movie "Prisoners of the Sky" that caused Aniplex (and subsequently A-1 Pictures) to bail because they're in the same business umbrella after the movie bombed, leaving Studio Deen and the outsourced Marvy Jack for the notoriously infamous Season 3, and that brings us here, to the final season with the same co-production, ... which adapts the rest of the manga not adapted yet into anime form, from where Season 3 left off and finally to the manga's true ending. WHAT A rollercoaster of a RIDE.

After the horrible disaster that is Season 3, the reason why the minority of you (me included) just want to watch this to get the entire Seven Deadly Sins adaptation done with. Everything needs no mention because seasons have carried this show for 6 to 7 years (inclusive of this final season), and it's dead obvious by this point for a former Shonen juggernaut that nowadays, series like it are rife across the board today.

At least, both Studio Deen and Marvy Jack took their time to finish this final season the "best" way they possibly can through the same subpar animation, and at least the blood is RED, not WHITE, so at least the botched "censoring" is outta the way. The OST for the final season is no doubt, great on the 2 sets of OP/EDs, though IMO Sora Amamiya's 2nd OP sure does not fit within the other song choreographies all that well. A bust on that one.

Take it or leave it that if you've come this far, your mission is one and only: finish the crap outta The Seven Deadly Sins, and be on your way, once the manga, now the anime. A conclusion that took 6.5 years to reach in animated form, with a strong high, rabbit-hole mid, and a decent ending to Nakaba Suzuki's long running-work.

Welp, a juggernaut finally put to rest in both read and watch forms.

I love seven deadly sins and would reccommend it to anyone because the story and characters are brilliant. That said, it is a huge let down as an anime with lots of fight scenes. Comparing it to season 1 and 2 it was painful to watch. It was like watching a slide show, there were no good transitions and the animation is reminiscent of anime that came out in the early 2000s. I understand that studios changed and there was a time constraint but fans deserved better. They probably knew they could get away with it to because those that love the show would power ... through to the end because the story is great. I would reccommend it for the story but the animation is hugely lackluster and took away the excitement.

I still remember when I watched season 1 I was so hyped for this story and was looking forward to it, but it disappointed me to the extent that I didn't even care for the show when season 5 was airing, I don't have to explain what killed this show, Season 4 of this show was disappointing, not only animation wise but story-wise too. In season 4 the story turned into a 3rd class love story and I felt a strong sense of detachment from the show, and the animation messed up the most anticipated fight in the recent years of all anime "Meliodas vs ... Escanor". Season 4 is like someone is trying to band-aid your bullet wound. The damage was already done and I lost all interest in the show, but for keepsake I watched it and everything about season 5 was just bearable throughout the 24 episodes. Be it animation, story, plot twist, character development, it was just bearable. I'm not sad that this show is over, I'm sad that this show had the potential to be an all-time great anime and the makers blew it so bad.

Well last season of the seven deadly sins. The truth since the change of animation studio the series declined a lot. The animation before was good or very good, it became bad or average. In the following seasons. In this last season at times the animation is more than decent but then there is an incredible novel fall. This inconsistency makes it very difficult to see because for a moment you are seeing something well animated and the next scene is shit. But taking that out, we already see the end of this saga and the truth is I would have liked to see a ... little more. I feel disappointed I finished watching it because it was already the end but if I am honest I cannot recommend watching this anime knowing that the first 2 seasons were very good and then they become not garbage but an insult for the past seasons. The animation studio change ruined the anime in my opinion. But hey, it's fine. If you fell in love with the characters, you will see all the animations there is like me.

La animación antes era buena o muy buena, se transformo en mala o regular. En las temporadas siguientes. En esta ultima temporada en momentos la animación es mas que decentes pero después hay una caída de novel increíble. Esta inconsistencia la vuelve muy difícil de ver porque por un momentos estas viendo algo re bien animado y escena siguiente es una mierda. Pero sacando eso ya vemos el final de esta saga y la verdad me hubiera gustado ver un poquito mas. Me siento decepcionado lo termine de ver porque ya era el final pero si les soy sincero no puedo recomendar ver este anime sabiendo que las primeras 2 temporadas fueron muy buenas y después se vuelven no una basura pero un insulto para las temporadas pasadas. El cambio de estudio de animación arruino el anime en mi opinión. Pero bueno esta bien. Si te encariñaste con los personajes te vas a ver todas las animaciones que haya como yo.

I was planning on giving this a higher score, I really was.

Nanatsu no Taizai is honestly an extremely unmemorable show save for a few saving graces. It's your typical shounen show. People always say that the quality of the show goes downhill after season 1, but I'll be honest, season 1 is just as bad, and also filled with a lot more fanservice. There's no "good" season of Nanatsu no Taizai, and they all have pretty big flaws. However, I do enjoy certain characters. Ban, King, Diane, and a few other characters are well made, and the many arcs that surround the history of events ... that happened and the backstories of the many characters are quite nice.
Other than that, it's quite shounen fare. Instead of the "I fight for my friends" trope, this show is "I fight for my lover AND friends" trope. Every main character has some sort of lover or love interest they are fighting for, and they're always sealed, half dead, or dying. Anyways, it is quite clear that these love interests are just plot devices to drive the character forward. Even the most mentioned love interest of all, Elizabeth, is nothing more than a damsel in distress with a "kind" personality. Other characters, I won't even mention. I think that Elaine and Ban are a nice pairing, and King and Diane aren't that bad either since there is some sort of substance to them as well as backstory dedicated to both those love stories. For the most part, the other characters do not really have that much dedication to the relationships between the characters. However, even in the case of Ban and Elaine, Elaine is still just a random side character that is only relevant because she is the goal of Ban. Every single damn side character has a love interest for some reason. It loses its luster.
Plus, Nanatsu no Taizai's fights are just nonsense. People power up, die, come back to life at completely the whim of the author. You cannot take any fights super seriously. Some guy uses their ultimate ability and its completely broken, yet it somehow gets countered by the Seven deadly sins and then they never use it again for the rest of the fight. How convenient. The opposite happens too. Merlin's infinity ability is absolutely broken, yet she only utilizes the ability sometimes when the author feels like making her powerful. Most of the time, she's just a utility mage without much power despite having one of the most powerful abilities. There are so many broken abilities in this show that it's hard to keep count, and they are again, completely arbitrary, so I wouldn't keep track.
Animation is OK throughout the series, with fluctuations obviously. No bad CGI at the very least. There are constant fights, but you can just tell the fights are poorly animated most of the time. But again, this show actually has a LOT of fighting, so it kind of makes sense.
Despite my misgivings Nanatsu No Taizai is a sort of turn your brain of show that I can chew through really fast. Episodes pass like a blur honestly. Episodes 1-12 passed quite quickly for me, and I would have granted the show a 7/10 if that was the end of the show. Yet, for money reasons I am assuming, the show continued when the conclusion was clearly there already. I really just had absolutely no interest in continuing on with the show after episode 12. It just doesn't make sense to have another 12 episodes of nothingness.
This show features too many tropes, bad animation, random power ups, and plot holes to be considered decent.

My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined.

The animation was straight up not good, and definitely ruined what could have been an awesome ending. Everything else was fine, but nothing really stood out as good (except for the 1 plot twist that happened in the first few episodes). The pacing is pretty all over the place and I feel like I've just watched the same few scenes a dozen times in a row. The characters are the characters. If you've seen seasons 1 though 4 you'll know what to expect. That's the gist of it.

If you want to know how the show ends ... you should definitely watch it, because it's not completely unbearable, but I would not recommend this to anyone else.

All in all I'd say it deserves a 6/10, purely because the story is interesting. Without that, I'd be hesitant to give it a 5.

Well actually it hurts to give overall rating 6 on the series but i am pretty much disappointed in the story right now.I got goosebumps on the previous sequels of Nanatsu no taizai's 3 sequels and one movie and was looking forward to the new series but actually i am heart broken.

First,lets say about the animation.Well,the animation is kinda same like the other series so about that I think its fine.I have no complaints about the animation though a lot of people criticize the animation quality is bad but from my personal opinion,its fine.

Second,comes the story plot.About it,I wanna say the story did not give ... me that much goosebumps this time.I can remember that the previous sequels and the movie.I almost felt like a child admiring Meliodas back then.I was just so much amazed with his skills and attitude.It was like a child admiring his hero.I am not saying that I dont like him right now but to be honest I did not get the vibe like that much.I did not read the manga so I dont know if any arcs were missed or something but if i only talk about the anime then the story plot was average comparing to the other sequels.

Third,comes the opening theme and the ending songs.Well,I liked the first ending song which but the opening songs and the final ending song were not that much good like the other sequels of seven deadly sins from my personal view.

In the end,I just want to say that the anime could have been better if the story plot was much more effortive.

Season 4 of Seven Deadly Sins is such a tragedy, acting as a symbol for how low the series has fallen. Plagued by many problems the previous season had, I doubt that anyone who except devout readers of the manga or people willing to watch anything is going to enjoy this season. Although there are only 6 episodes out at the time of writing, I don't expect the season to get any better unless the studio is saving their budget for something greater than subpar.

Story: 6
The story of this series is nothing remarkable, but it's not absolute trash. It's the sort of story that most ... would completely forget after several months of watching and have no need to rewatch it again. While I have not read the manga, these past episodes were mostly large exposition dumps with a ton of flashbacks as an attempt to make us feel sympathetic for characters such as Estarossa and Zeldris, but they were pretty meaningless to me as they came out of nowhere. There is also horribly slow pacing so far, but this was to be expected as it was already apparent in the past season. It's worth noting the animation is partially to blame for the pacing. Battles are also horrible, but I'll expand on that in the characters section.

Art: 3
Some watchers are claiming that the art/animation has improved, which I sort of agree with. Gratefully, there hasn't been any censoring, so characters don't look like they're cumming every time they're injured. That said, the rest of the art has been barely improved. Animations are repeated, such as the initial Ludociel and Zeldris encounters, and characters seem like they're struggling to move their limbs constantly. The studio probably noticed this, and they attempt to hide it by using more close-up shots and overuse simple animations such as talking and idle positions. This causes the story to be even more slow-paced.

Sound: 7
This is what I'm worst at reviewing. The sound effects/VA aren't really anything special, but it's not bad in any way. The OP is an improvement from last season IMO but this category is extremely subjective. Most shows I've watched never had horrible sound so it's hard to compare.

Character: 6
Something I loved most about the first two seasons was how great the characters were. The show really makes the bad-ass characters shine, such as the first showing of the commandments, Escanor, and a few others. That really isn't the case here. There are certainly powerful characters, but it never seems like so as only powerful characters go against equally powerful characters (which is fine but causes those powerful characters to never feel like a threat). Other characters have unfortunately been pushed to the side though and are between the edge of useless and just annoying. Since the huge power-ups, some of the main cast have got so large, such as Meliodas, Merlin, Escanor, the Archangels, and other characters, the rest of the cast is simply there to commentate on the action, like a boring Speedwagon. Another thing to point out is that the battles between these characters were boring. It's not a direct battle of power, but it isn't a battle of intelligence either, it just feels like each side takes turns bringing out one hax ability after another, which was most prevalent in the battle in the Meliodas darkness egg.

Enjoyment: 4
Extremely slow-paced, poor art and animation, and no real sense of strategy to fights full of asspulls. Dunno what to say. Mostly just watching to see the end, and the purgatory scenes are the best of the season so far as it's mostly separated from everything.

Overall: 5
I would've given this a lower score, but I have some unexplained disliking of Seven Deadly Sins, so I rated it a point higher. Honestly, if I enjoyed the story in the first seasons more, this season might've been much more bearable but I don't feel like watching the whole series over again figuring that out.

I'm gonna make this short. as where it's standing rn at ep.13 i can with confident say that this anime has the shittiest directing and animation out of all the other nanatsu no taizai season but prob has the best soundtrack, opening, and ending this season. The ending song slap, the ost they use in each moment fits perfectly and the op also slaps. but sadly the anime is a half backed pancake that is still raw and uneatable. the fight scene they show could've been better if were pick up by another studio or was given type to ACTUALLY ANIMATE ... A PROPER FIGHT SCENE. also one of the example of how shit is the animation is on ep.13 at 16:30 where THEY COULDN"T EVEN PROPERLY ANIMATE jericho falling down from a 30cm tall small brick wall like wtf. They even make jericho look stupid coming down from there smh

in conclusion, it's not as bad as how promised neverland disappoint there whole fan base but this is pretty disappointing as a old Nanatsu fan

NO SPOILER REVIEW

Ah yes, The Seven Deadly Sins, the first anime I ever watched that was not recommended to me, mostly due to the fact that it was not mainstream at that point. To be honest? It has a special place in my heart for no reason. I originally watched this when I was a bright-eyed fourth grader…now I’m no longer that fourth grader and about to start my third year in high school.

The story, in my opinion, did fix some major issues prevalent in the last installment, not to mention that the animation was noticeably better this time around.

While I do ... have problems with certain moral high grounds (only regarding two characters) I really don’t find much wrong with the story. The music, which has always been a strong suit of the anime was great as usual.

The animation is still downgraded from the original first few seasons, but as stated previously, much better than the commandments arc. I do believe the story was rushed at points, however, that was merely an opinion as I sat down and watched this in one sitting.

The characters are still well rounded, but seem to be a bit more stagnant in how they act. However, I do still enjoy the character development from specifically the main male lead and the secondary main male lead. Their dynamic is always fun to watch and I am happy we got to see that again.

Overall, the season was decent. Better than season 3, worse than seasons 1 and 2. It’s the end of a popular franchise, and do I like the end? It’s fine, not terrible, not great. If it wasn’t such a big name in the industry, this season would have been lost in the mass of winter 2021 animes, probably not even being discussed.

I don't have too much to say about this season because I was just so lost throughout it, so much happened and I really didn't follow much of it at all everything felt very convoluted, however there were at least some standout moments and the concluding episode was a nice send off. I'd like to mention the first ED because it is absolutely incredible, definitely one of my favourite songs recently it's a shame it was used in a season I didn't particularly enjoy. Overall I'd say this is worth watching if you've seen the first three seasons but I wasn't particularly impressed by most ... of it unfortunately.

Listen.. this may not be the best start of a season that we have seen. But it seems to be better then the end of season 3, which to be fair was a rushed disaster of many different ideas. You will SOME enjoyment from watching this new season, as you will receive a glimmer of hope for the characters which haven't been completely ruined unlike the likes of Hendrickson.

I have high hopes for the rest of the season, as I really do believe this is just a rocky start with good things to come in the future. The first thing they could do is maybe ... stop making BAN so god damn weak, but apart from that all they have to do is actually focus the original plot rather than continuously drifting further and further away from the path they layed out for themselves.

So the first half of this is on Netflix and I watched it. It's... well, it's not great. The pacing of the show in the beginning wasn't the best either, though since then it's been mostly downhill. At this point fights are happening constantly and there's little to no variation from this; because of this, investment in the characters is at an all-time low. Additionally, the fights themselves aren't visually impressive and don't progress in a very entertaining way. So what's left that keeps the viewer watching? Well, for me it was a combination of an obligatory desire to see it to the end and ... the remnants of investment I had built up from the previous seasons. The characters once were given development and were entertaining. It's a shame they weren't given much here. Oh yeah, I'm forgetting the soundtrack. It's the one thing that's consistently great throughout the series. Though, I'm pretty sure most of the music has been recycled from the previous seasons as well, so I don't know if that's much of a plus. Plus, the use of music at times was a bit odd given what was happening in the story. Overall, it was so-so. Who knows what the second half and end to the series will bring?

SDS was the first anime I ever watched. It opened the world of anime to me, so I am very disappointed with how the past two season have gone. While the animation is much better this season compared to last season, it is no where near as good as the first two season. I feel as though the animators could have made the story much more compelling by cutting (drawing) the shots differently (more dramatic). To me it feels as though the animation is not as exciting as we are lead to believe the situation to be.

The new character's I don't feel as invested in ... and the show has basically forgotten the original supporting characters. However; the main characters are just as charming as ever and I still love them with all my heart. The relations between the characters have always the best part of the show and I am glad that they haven't completely botched it.

NANATSU NO TAIZAI (Season 1 & 2) have been very special to me. I still remember the 'fantasy' feeling every time I recollect those seasons.

Too bad we have to part with NNT this way.

"[Animation Quality & Fast Pacing]" ruined this season is what I will say, in short. Realizing how disappointing this is, I had to 'fast forward' watch the episodes. One of the show which I desperately wanted to get done with.

... Animation aside, some episodes really had some great moments, especially the last episodes which were emotional.

MELIODAS has been my favorite character since season 1. He is childish, yet more mature than anyone else.

Favorite episode : 24 ----> [ELIZABETH x MELIODAS = TRISTAN] in the end. *happy ending*

OP and ED songs, like always, have been really good to listen to.

Just as how MELIODAS accepted MERLIN, I'm gonna accept this season as it is, the reason being the special memories when I watched NNT season 1 & 2.

A memorable show, either way. *emotional*

7 DS is one whether you hate it, love it , or just confused on your feelings. There were moments while watching that I considered dropping it, and other times where I found myself invested.
I would really only recommend this to people who are just starting anime. There are so many great shounen animes that after watching those and then watching this I was disappointed and at times bored.
One of the redeeming qualities from this anime besides the pretty colours is the characters and relationships. I personally fell in love with Ban and sometimes I believe I was only watching to see his ... relationship unfold with Elaine. The same for King and Diane and even Meliodas and Elizabeth (although Its obvious since episode one).

You don't lose anything really watching this anime, and all in all it's a cute watch.
