1. Story is huge downgrade from first season. Side characters got way too much space and the main characters progress got left behind, which is not always wrong, but there it's over the top.

Over all I have enjoyed some parts of anime, but it's not like I can recommend it

Okay Im going to be honest , i actually like this anime. But the pace is super slow which means it is so boring i could watch this to make me fall a sleep. I would actually use x2 speed to save my time. And it is getting boring and boring every episodes.

The fighting animations is often dope but you can't actually feel any danger among the main character. When a serious fight is happening they will make unnecessary jokes or fan-services.The fight also will be drag too long and that is because of the slow pacing.

The character .Tamaki, useless character and annoying. Delivered unnecessary ... fan-services on serious scene. Like if want to watch some boobs i could just go to watch some hentai. Juggernaut, joking on serious scene or crying like a cry baby. Shinra, okay shinra we get it you are a hero, we get it okay so stop mention it every god damn 3 seconds through out of the entire series.

The only thing that I'm looking forward to see is only about Joker and the fight scene in the opening so i will stick to the end of this season to see what would happen. I don't even give a damn about the boring Evangelist.

The best thing about this show is definitely the animation. It's a very nice looking show.
The main issue with it though is just how unengaging it is. This show is just a generic shounen with a fire theme and while that could be okay, it's really hard to get invested. This might be an issue with the pacing, I'm not sure. It definitely got worse in the second season which leads me to believe that someone in the production of this show stopped caring. The story isn't that bad, don't get me wrong, it just feels like once you've seen ... season one, you don't really need the second.

art: its very fluent and nice with bright colors and makes for very eye catching fights. 9/10

story: it just continues after the 1st season which the mysteries of infernals are kinda eh and the white clads seems like off brand shitty white version of the akatsuki. 6/10

sound: does its purpose, didn't find anything outstanding about it. 8/10

characters: shinra is a pretty average boy that wants to be a hero, maki and tamaki are there just for fan service ngl, only arthur and takehisa are some what interesting out of the main cast. 6/10

enjoyment: pretty mediocre, the fights are mainly just dialogue, its ... ends off on hype cliffhangers that always come back weak the next episode, characters arent that good and everything else aisde from the art only serves it purpose to be there. [ overall: 4.5/10

First off, I want to put it out there that I really really like this anime and this is also my first review. However, this season fell short to me in terms of mainly plot so much that I had to make this my first review and I’ll explain more below.

Plot: 4/10
The storytelling this season felt really messy. It felt a lot like a number of arcs were just following the exact same script but with different characters (go on a mission, white clads appear, fight, climax about destroying the whole area, plot armour saves the day) and not a huge amount of ... development in the story in general. Also, the arcs didn’t feel like they related to one another that well probably mainly because the transitions were done pretty badly.

Just generally, in my opinion the pacing for this season was worse compared to the first season because some of the arcs felt wayyyy too drawn out (like the sixth pillar, haijima and Chinese peninsula arc). But they were enjoyable for some of the fight scenes and comedy.

Characters: 6/10
This time we got a couple fun new characters (excluding Maki’s brother, he was pretty annoying) and we got some development on some of the old characters which was nice (especially on Joker, his story was really well done). However, I have to point out the elephant in the room which is Tamaki. Her character feels more like wasted potential to me because all she does is exist for fan service. Yes, we did finally get her backstory but them somehow trying to make the whole lucky lecher thing into a tragic past thing was very awkward and because of that I couldn't take it seriously at all. I mean at least she did get *some* development that’d hopefully help out in the next season.

Art and animation: 10/10
Absolutely stunning as usual. The visuals are to die for, easily one of the best in current running shonen and the fights are amazing. David’s production did really great work on this.

Sound: 9.5/10
The sound effects are really great also, maybe on the same level as the visuals. Only downside is I’d say I didn’t really like any of the openings or endings this season that much compared to the first.

Overall: 6.6/10
It was really enjoyable for the most part but the plot, Tamaki and pacing issues make it very hard to give it a stronger score.

Although Shinra is super fast, the anime has a pacing that lacks enthusiasm for their watchers

Enen no Shouboutai is a modern classic in my view, because it wasn't afraid to explore new ways of narrative, and joint universes. But the anime seems to not having this in mind and focusing in great animations. This is major a problem because, if even the story uses action and fights as medium to the progress, the truly narrative progress are made by dialogues and plot twists that they offered using the characters (like Shou being alive in first season and stuff like that). So this second season we're ... supposed to see some narrative progress, but actually, they delivered only action progression. This isn't bad, but isn't good knowing what will happen in the future (last scene gives a hint).

It's not for everyone. The anime doesn't have great fights like Kimetsu no Yaiba or Fate:Zero, or neither have a great plor like Monster or Shingeki no Kyojin. But still, it's a great anime with great characters and have an overall quality pretty high though.

Fireforce Ni No Shou is the second season and continuation of the anime based off the manga of the same name by Atsushi Okubi. It continues straight after the first season's storyline where we are introduced to giant infernals that take are a lot harder to take down, while fireforce company 8 takes down these infernals and go on various missions, they stumble upon the white clad and the Evangelist that have started to set their plans into action, now fireforce company 8 along with the majority of the companies team up to take down the Evangelist once and for all. While this season does ... have some better fight scenes than the first one, ultimately this second season is an inferior product compared to it's predecessor. This season feels more like its a setting stage for the final confrontation of the fire soldiers and the evangelist rather than a continuation of the story, not to mention that I'm not hyped at all for season 3 nor their final battle if anything watching this season felt tedious, boring and annoying, I didn't feel that same satisfaction and entertainment that I felt from watching season 1, hell this season even made me consider dropping the show as a whole. It has the same jokes, same problems, same cliches that the first season has which applies to every shounen lol like power of friendship and give me power to protect my loved ones lmao, but back on topic this time it was done way worse than before. There were times when I was putting off watching episodes off this season, and I could have reviewed this last night but I didn't because I just didn't feel like it, looking on the bright side tho there are some fight scenes from this season that I enjoyed more than the first one, like the guy with tephrosis and Shinra vs Nataku Son, Juggernaut vs the two white clad guys, Joker and the company 4 captain vs the temple of Sol and of course the training arc on the last few episodes was also good, unfortunately these little moments that I liked ultimately did not manage to save this tragic garbage of a season. I also noticed that this season tried to speedrun it's source material and let me tell you that just doesn't work, the pacing in this season was just bad, which is a shame since the first one's pacing matched perfectly with the show's tone and atmosphere, while the second season's facing just didn't work out for it.

Overall Fireforce Season 2 is a failure of a second season to a already mediocre shounen series, unfortunately this season has ultimately made everything that was salvageable about the first season dissapear for me, and now I'm strongly thinking about dropping this anime as whole. This season was a waste of time and some anime viewers may have even dropped this show by now, since let's face it if you don't stop watching by this point then you just have shit taste and enjoy dogshit anime. I give Enen No Shouboutai: Ni No Shou a 5/10 for my overall anime rating.

Season 2 is a significant step down from season 1 in just about every aspect. The action lacked the same oomph, the story lacked the same drive, purpose, and sense of suspense, mystery, and revelations, the characters lacked the same progress and moments (save for Juggernaut and Maki), and the pacing lacked the same satisfaction. The art is probably the only thing that's the same, though I wasn't ever a fan of the stylized parts (eg, certain characters' eyes). It's actually kind of odd how the in-your-face fanservice was one of the things that detracted least. The pacing is probably what's the most wrong as ... a majority of the season felt like filler, despite many moments that dragged were also pretty necessary for the story. And on the other end of the spectrum were key moments that were quick but over too soon. Whereas season 1 left me thoroughly entertained and pumped, this season left me with a pretty meh feeling. I really wanted to like this more.

Quick Review, minor/no spoilers.

Story 6/10: Following up from the first season, the group finally decide to follow up on their mystery and challenge the white clad ones.. except literally throughout the entire season the Shinra and the others are just..weak. I wouldn't mind it, if it was concluded nicely but nope, for SOME reason, they end on a training arc purely on the last episode. I understand they're building up to the next season but the show had serious pacing issues, worse than the first season and the fan service was WAY TOO MUCH. When the show has more fan fiction than action to drag ... out the episoders, you know something is wrong. That said, you do learn more about the Adolla links but honestly.. this season was kinda predictable. The reaosn I give this a lower score than the first season was well.. you watch a guy about to die and what happens.. bam fan service, then some joke, then some sad music then action again within the space of a minute - way to ruin a scene.

Art and Sound : Again, top notch. No complaints at all. David productions have always smashed it out of the park and the OP + ED have been great throughout the entire season. Sound was really well delivered and hype moments felt hype.

Character development 9/10: Credit where credit is due, the amount of development side characters got was really good, my favourite in particular being charon showing another side of him. There was little focus around shinra this season and though it did show, it really brought some other characters in the background more into light - although i do wish there was a little more focus on characters showing their thoughts and reasoning without blindly following.

Overall 7/10: Honestly.. pacing really ruined this for me. Very few animes can end on a cliffhanger right and this was not one of them. Story and the mystery is again the main driving factor for me, but man as a fellow hentai watcher myself.. too much can take away from the show in regards to the fan service.

Okay, I'm going to say it. Fire force and I have a love hate relationship. In the things it does well, it does them REALLY well but in the things it does bad it does them REALLY BAD!

Battle animation and coreyography is beautiful. Characters are interesting both as concepts and designs. The plot is super interesting and fun. But my praise stops there.

This anime has a HUGE problem with tone. It's absolutely all over the place. They seem allergic to dramatic story building moments without ruining the tone with a badly placed joke that brings the emotion of the moment to a screeching halt.

The ... animation is also terrible. You can see where all the animation budget went, to short fight scenes where the fire is animated beautifully, but those scenes are so short and SO PRETTY that it makes it very noticeable that most shots in this anime are still images. They cover this up by only animating mouths in close ups that last forever, focusing on a character that is not speaking, not animating faces, or having shots from very, very far away. It's jarring and really takes you out of the moment.

Then there's the cat girl. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE cat girls, but this cat girl is half of this anime's tone problems. In addition to her cat themed fire power she also has an "ability" called "lucky lechery" which is basically just an excuse for her to strip and/or have men fall right into her cleavage. Sure anime have similar beats but this 1) makes no sense because what does it have to do with fire powers? She could have just been clumsy or something and it would have the same effect and 2) happens in almost every serious moment as if the writers went "OH NO! ITS SERIOUS AND TENSE! CAN'T HAVE THAT! BOOBIES!"

But it's not just spoiling tense moments, it's also not knowing how to handle tense moments. Mild spoiler but a scene that really stuck out to me this season was when the fire force goes down into these underground tunnels to fight infernals and they decide they want to show how dangerous the situation is without killing the main characters so they decide "Let's kill of the background guys!" Now, fire force shows no love for background characters. They rarely even bother to anime faces on them, most of them look like copy paste versions of each other, and most of them exist to fill space so when all of a sudden four of them were given names and their own private flashback in which they promised various people in their lives to do this VERY important and VERY emotionally stirring thing RIGHT AFTER they come back from their dangerous mission, before promptly being murdered in some brutal fashion of another, it had the opposite effect from emotional. I broke out laughing. I could not contain it. It was the equivalent of the words "insert tears here"being flashed on the screen and this happened FOUR TIMES in only a few minutes.

But here's the problem right? Every season I start watching fire force, and every season I hate it because of the above issues, and ever season I say this is going to be my last season and I just wanna finish the season because i'm a completionist. But then, in the last few episodes, the animation quality goes up, they lay down some plot threads, and I'm hooked again! It's like being an addict, or in an abusive relationship. I know this anime doesn't care about me. I know it's just going to hurt me again but every time this anime shows up in my feed and goes "Come back baby I can change" and DAMN IT I fall for it every time.

I hate this show. I hate it so much.

Will I be watching it next season?

The only way I can review this is by splitting the season in parts. Part 1: everything before episode 18, Part 2: episode 18, Part 3: everything after episode 18. (TL;DR the first part of the season was a 10, the second part was a 5, and the third part was a 1).

First part:
The first part of the season was spectacular. We're constantly learning something new about the world, and, although it's not quite there yet, you can see how it's all starting to come together. We learn more about the history and geography of the world, as well as the people who inhabit it. ... Some interesting minor characters that didn't have a lot of screen time in season 1 were expanded upon, and it was very entertaining to watch.
Personally, I can't think of anything wrong with it, and for that reason Part 1 gets a 10.

Second part: (Episode 18 was pretty much filler, but there will be some minor spoilers for it if you care about that)
I found the first half of the episode boring, but hey, not every episode can be a fight to the death, right? I think it was supposed to be a break from the super serious tone of the show that was present up until now, but personally, it just seemed like they wanted to waste time. In the second half of the episode I KNOW they were just trying to waste time, but it wasn't as boring as the first half, and it actually made me laugh. I enjoyed Tamaki's "battle" because it was just a funny break. (Also, the Soul Eater reference was very nice).
It was fine, but a tad boring for my taste, so it gets a 5.

Third part: (There will be some minor character spoilers)
I can say no words that can affectively describe how upset this makes me. It was bad. My expectations were high, and somehow, this show managed to sink to a depth I didn't think was possible. It was SO BAD. I guess the first place to start would be with Maki. She was sent away for... some reason? Maybe? I don't really know. It seemed wildly out of character for both the Captain, and the Lieutenant. After all her badass moments up until now, suddenly she's too weak? Why wasn't she too weak the first time they went to the nether? Or when she made that big ass fire tornado in the Part one? Her brother also annoys me to no end, and someone should have told him to stop being such a prick a long time ago. I don't care that she came back, because she shouldn't have been sent away to begin with! The Lieutenant recommended her in the first place because of how strong she is, and the Captain chose her for the very same reason! And yet now the 2 people who know how strong she is better than anyone else send her away. It's mind boggling, and it's not even the worst part. The worst thing about Part 3 is Juggernaut, without a doubt. Every time he didn't die "BeCaUsE oF lAyErS" I legitimately felt like I was watching a looney tunes skit. And on the other hand, that one dude got his head cut clean in half, and I felt like I was watching fucking Akame Ga Kill! I don't understand what the vibe of the show is supposed to be anymore! is it dark and violent or is it looney tunes-esque comedy with fighting? Those are pretty damn far apart as far as shows go, and yet someone thought it was a good idea. Not only did they think it was a good idea, but they also failed miserably at it. This was genuinely probably the worst experience I've ever had watching anime, and I stopped watching for a while after episode 20 because I was done with the bullshit (I did finish the rest of the season later however). Speaking of the rest of the season, the rest of part 3 was very boring and, what I assume is supposed to be Shinra's big fight that season, was way to long and not entertaining to watch in the slightest.
Part three was abysmal, it gets a 1 (and it's lucky I can't give it anything lower).

All in all, the show washed away the excellent first part with the horrible third part, and because of that it gets a 5. It's fine I guess. The bar for next season is on the fucking floor, so it'll be hard to make it any worse. I just hope they bring back the momentum they had going in Part one.

This season feels somewhat all over the place compared to last season. It touches on some surprisingly profound themes like why religious faith is important to keep in a world losing its hope, and the interdimensional mystery surrounding the Evangelist and White Clad is expounded upon immensely, but it lacks a distinct structure to tie everything together. There are definite moments of character growth, but they sometimes feel kind of forced, as if the original creator realized, "Oh, this side character exists! I need to help him grow before the series ends!"

There seems to be a bit of tonal dissonance as well. While a tiny ... bit of dark humor can be welcome in the right circumstances--"Thanks for saving me! My life flashed before my eyes and it was really pathetic!" (Gets stabbed.) "Whhhhyyyyy?!"--there are some episodes where a whole bunch of minor characters are killed but a joke will soon follow or there will be the stereotypical "big laugh" at the end of one of the most intense and violent episodes like no lives were lost and everyone is smiling once again in the next episode.

There's tons of drama and intrigue like usual for Fire Force, with plenty of witty humor and inexplicably funny fan service (because Tamaki is just a natural at physical comedy, duh) but don't expect as clear-cut and expansive of a story as last season. Judging by the closing scene for the last episode, the larger plot is going to be ramping up again for season 3, and I look forward to seeing that good dynamic between many of Company 8 and the White Clad again.

R.I.P. the THICCEST Fire Force waifu yet Orochi. Maybe she can get more of an opportunity to shine in future episodes since Assault was able to survive getting his head completely beat in in season 1. (If there's no body, they ain't dead!)

Fire force season two was just as visually stunning, impactful, and creative as the first. David Productions did an amazing job creating and maintaining the anime's unique style, and further built upon its elements in this season. However this season fell flat for arguably its plot alone. The plot of the first season was defined and solved (for the most part) by the end of the season. The flow was smooth, the suspense built up over the entirety of the anime, giving the final fight the importance and gravity it needed. Yet for this season, the plot was extremely segmented, with the ending establishing the ... presumed plot for the next season, yet leaving their own unresolved. Each arc was far too short, and the rate at which they changed did not allow for any real connections to be made with the characters. Additionally, I felt like each arc was only shallowly connected to the overall plot, almost rendering each seemingly insignificant their the close.

In addition, I was not impressed with the way they portrayed and treated Tamaki. I wish she had it better than being the sexual comedic relief. Her treatment this season is best depicted with the following. At the close of a very intense battle scene, Tamaki was left barely clothed and a sexual joke made about her, COMPLETELY destroying all the emotions built up with the fight. The fight was really intense, but treating her like that made it all for nothing. I really want better for her, and I hope they continue to develop her as an active member of Company 8 in the season(s) to come.

Overall this season was a fun watch, and I can't wait to see what the next installment will bring!

I was a fan of season 1. I thought it was really enjoyable and kept me interested. The problem with season 2 is it feels like it is having an identity crisis. Season 1 stuck with the kind of formulaic "introduce enough character background to facilitate the story." This keeps things moving forward at a good pace keeping plot development feeling engaging.
Although many episodes do stick to this formula in S2, it also strays greatly in approach. Many of the episodes focus on character development and almost delve into slice-of-life territory. An example of what I am talking ... about would be episode S2 E20. 4 episodes from the end and we are being introduced to Tomaki's family. While this is not inherently bad, it betrays the relationship I have thus far developed with the characters. Previous to these style of episodes in S2 the relationship I had built with the characters was based off their personality quirks and their relation to the plot. That is my interest in the characters that has developed through s1. Now I am being provided content that gives extended background to characters that is extraneous to plot progression - in a plot progression heavy show.
How this worked itself out was S2 ended up feeling like a slog for me. I felt a lot of the episodes were filler adjacent. Whereas S1 flew by, I think it took me multiple weeks to get through S2. I know they are on a release schedule but perhaps making this a 20 or 18 episode season would have been more appropriate.

With all this death and destruction it is amazing that Tokyo is still there in story and it seems to be always rebuilding damage. It looks like author gave up on common sense somewhere at season one. Anyway, with dimension jumping and time travel everything goes.

Story focus switched on nebulous pillars, links and other made up stuff that for some reason are considered important. Relatability to the story is nonexistent when all MC is doing is scream about how he is a hero and fight. All his enemies look like psychos with wide range of psychological derangements. If you consider how pretty much all ... of characters does have some problems with the head, this Japan is in dare need of nine division which would be specialized on psychiatric help.

Flashy fights still looks cool and neko-nun is present. But the amount and length of meaningless dialogues kills all fun.

Pontos Fracos: Desenvolvimento da trama, desenvolvimento de personagens e relacionamentos, ecchi desnecessário em alguns momentos sim senhor!

Analisar Fire Force é muito complicado, pois ao mesmo tempo que o anime é maravilhoso na parte técnica, ele tem grandes problemas na trama e também no famigerado "ecchi desnecessário".

Comecemos então assoprando antes de morder. Não é a ordem certa do dito popular, mas tô nem aí.

Mesmo o anime mudando a direção da primeira para a segunda temporada, o anime continuou com o estudo David Production. E sendo assim, tecnicamente o anime continua competentíssimo.
As animações nas batalhas são coloridas, fluídas, muito bem coreografadas. Cada luta é extremamente satisfatória de assistir.
A parte de edição de som também continua excelente. Cada impacto, cada golpe rápido, cada vôo do Shinra, cada sacada da espada de plasma do Arthur, tudo tem um som característico, bem definido. Já a trilha sonora é boa. Não excede expectativas, mas mantém a qualidade.
O design de personagens mantém o padrão da primeira temporada, que já eram muito bons. Mas ainda acho estranho a animação quando aparecem os rostos distantes. Fica aquela cara sem traços, como se os personagens fossem apenas um NPC irrelevante de algum jogo de futebol. Imagino que seja uma decisão artística, mas não me agrada.

Em alguns momentos a edição do episódio é meio corrida, perdendo um pouco o nexo. Cortes muito abruptos entre diálogos. Não chega a ser um grande problema, mas atrapalha o entendimento da trama, que já não é das melhores.

E falando em trama, agora vamos morder um pouco (isso não vai pegar bem).
A trama de Fire Force não é das mais fáceis de entender desde a primeira temporada. Não é complexidade narrativa, tá mais pra bagunça mesmo.
Já se passaram duas temporadas, 48 episódios, e meio que não sabemos o que a tal da Evangelista quer mesmo afinal. Revelar o plano final do vilão não seria legal, eu sei, mas a trama precisa andar, pequenas revelações precisam acontecer para manter o interesse do público.
O que é o tal do Adolla Burst? O que é Adolla?
E em que momento foi definido que o vilão é A Evangelista e não O Evangelista? Eu perdi esse momento? Pois do nada deixam de chamar de O Evangelista para se referirem a ela no gênero feminino.
E em uma única temporada, se eu não me engano, se passaram 4 arcos. Tudo parece meio rushado, apressado. Personagens super legais são inseridos, causam na trama, e logo depois somem sem qualquer aprofundamento ou desenvolvimento.
Até mesmo o protagonista não se desenvolve. Ele está no mesmo ponto emocional em que estava quando a primeira temporada acabou. Apenas ficou mais forte. Ou pior, o Arthur, que pelo jeito é o rival do Shinra, não tem desenvolvimento algum. Apenas sabe-se que ele é um idiota que pensa ser um cavaleiro, e que fica mais forte quando enganado para pensar estar num contexto medieval. Mas porquê? Qual o seu passado? Por quê existe essa rivalidade/amizade entre ele e o Shinra?
Tirando um flashback, não se tem nessa ou na temporada anterior nada da relação dos dois. Nada é apresentado ou desenvolvido. Se o autor está segurando revelações para o futuro, ok. Mas desenvolva o relacionamento dos personagens um pouco, meu!!!

Agora vamos tirar o elefante da sala: A Tamaki!
Na primeira temporada entendi perfeitamente a questão do ecchi com ela. Era uma boa piada. Até mesmo nessa segunda temporada entendi quando essas características são inseridas como piada. Mas uma coisa me incomodou um pouco na primeira temporada e me incomodou muito nessa segunda: Porquê em lutas sérias a roupa dela tem que se rasgar toda?
Na primeira temporada teve a luta contra o Rekka, em que ela fica quase nua. E nessa temporada teve a luta dela em conjunto com o Juggernaut. Poxa, é um momento bem dramático, tenso, e ela tá lá, quase pelada de novo. Para quê isso? A roupa dela não tem resistência nenhuma contra fogo??!! Ela é bombeira, pô!
A luta dela quando vão ao Inferno pela primeira vez é justificável, pois todo o ecchi ali é usado como humor. É engraçado. E um extra num pós-credito com o inimigo derrotado por ela nessa luta é uma das partes mais engraçadas da temporada.
Mas na luta contra o Rekka e nessa na segunda visita ao Inferno, ao lado do Juggernaut, o ecchi é sim muito desnecessário.
Já tá na hora dela se livrar dessa tal "maldição".

Ufa! Acho que reclamei muito. Mas é por que eu gosto dessa bagunça.

A verdade é que Fire Force (ou Enen no Shouboutai) é sim um bom anime, que salta aos olhos na parte técnica, mas que peca muito no desenrolar da trama ou no uso de artifícios para agradar aos jovens na puberdade.

Espero muito que tenhamos uma terceira temporada. E que nessa temporada a trama avance para algum lugar, que os personagens se desenvolvam emocionalmente e relacionalmente, e meu Deus, que a Temaki use roupas mais resistentes. Por que olha, tá difícil defender o anime assim.
É uma ótima diversão. Mesmo que eu não esteja dando uma nota 7, eu recomendo. Garanto que diversão (e alguns "Quê?!?!") não vão faltar.

I feel like there is a good portion of intrigue here, with how deep the rabbithole goes for the story, but the main problem is its presentation. Characters will just describe the entire tension point of the story before it even happens and I'm supposed to act like i didn't see it coming. And the way they present it too is substantially more annoying. explaining every segment of the story and what's happening as if I'm not even watching the show and I'm having them give me a full plot synopsis every time. the handholding completely ruins the fun of trying to understand what you ... are watching, making your own sense of the story and the characters. rather than having them explain every single thing every single time.

most of the characters are pretty bad too. all of them are a single cliché and completely adhere to said cliché for the duration of their character's screen time. rinse and repeat this with every scene. they have little depth or character beyond this cliche. but that cant be said for EVERY character, like joker, whos actually interesting. but this can be said for most. because even if they undergo some sort of "awakening" and "realize their purpose" (or something along those lines) their character remains the same. they just fight better than they did before.

plus, the concept of subtilty is near non existent. with characters cracking jokes at the worst times, (literally the whole last arc of this season, where people are dying left and right but half of the characters act like nothing is happening) or just holding them for too long.

despite my negative gripes with the show, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. maybe I'm just a sucker for good animation and sound design. And the dialogue isn't ALWAYS bad, it can be good sometimes (for example, the arc with joker and beni, the shortest of them all. which had perfect pacing, dialogue and character development. actually felt like I was watching a competent show until we went to the next arc.) but it usually is pretty mediocre. And, obviously, the comedy isn't my thing. the fanservice isn't something I have a huge issue with because after a while it just becomes white noise and I block it out, despite it being completely stupid never the less. But that can be said about half of the characters in the show.

my final consensus is "definition MID Shonen material." (low 6, high 5)

Fire Force 2


With the second season, Fire Force surprised me even more, not only positively but also negatively. All the strengths that this series had in season 1 were again made clear there. The progression of the plot is decent, as well as how information is conveyed to the viewer has good pacing. The characters are still blunt, but likable. And the humor is some of the best to be found in a shounen. I can only repeat myself several times, but Fire Force would have made a better comedy than a shounen.

And since I'm already on that point, this anime/manga has uncontrollable comedy ... qualities. And this goes as far as even using some character deaths (of supporting characters) as joke templates. As a viewer, how can you take a scene where so many soldiers are slaughtered seriously when you see jokes all the time? I'm sure by now that this anime can't even take itself seriously. And so it's a similar problem to Gintama. Fire Force has the potential to be serious or to create decent dramatic scenes. But by this uncontrolled urge to throw everything into chaos or to insert a joke, all this is ruined.

This hurts the show immensely but also balances it out in entertainment value. Despite all of this, I found these "scenes" quite amusing and seriously had to watch some twice to realize that the author dared to make such a thing.


Fire Force doesn't have a great reputation in the anime/shounen scene and hardly anyone talks about it. But let me say this. Fire Force is better than some people think. It's a slightly above-average shounen with a fresh and decent plot, with passable pacing and plenty of charisma. This alone puts it above very many other series I've seen, despite its flaws.

[Story 5]

The plot develops further and bit by bit you learn more truth about this world, as well as new questions arise again. In terms of storytelling, it reminds me of Fullmetal Alchemist, but of course, it's a much more regressive version of that. Which can still be taken as a compliment.

I especially like the fact that it's distributed piece by piece, so that the content doesn't get lost, keeping the viewer on a leash and still maintaining their curiosity.


[Characters 5]

There's hardly anything new to say. They are practically the same as in the first season, though they try to develop slowly as the ending progresses. I don't expect anything here, since developments in shounen are 99% based on "I'm getting stronger" and this is just hot steam.

Only the fact that the main characters are relatively varied and sympathetic, helps to watch the series.
The enemies are also interesting, among other things. Although they don't seem so, they are quite cruel and don't hold back. It's rare to see opponents that go straight for the kill. Except for the protagonists, of course.

Not much has changed in the music area this season, it has the same quality as its predecessor. On the other hand, the animation has become weaker and the pacing slightly slower. The fights have fewer dynamics than before, which of course is not good. Because most of the fights have meager content.

Fire Force 2 has everything that an above-average shounen should have. It has its flaws and problems but makes up for them in other ways. It is not a miracle for the world, but an anime that you can watch very well in between without having great expectations.

How do you expect me to empathize with the characters in question, when can we merely remember their names due to how little work is done on them? ... Estamos ante lo que es la 2° temporada de Enen no Shouboutai, un Anime por el cual desde sus comienzos tuve una relación de Amor y odio por el programa pero que a pesar de todo me ah jalado hasta el final de su secuela.
Durante su primer temporada de emisión opte por aceptar y justificar muchas situaciones fuera de contexto como personajes sin desarrollar, comedia en momentos inapropiados, un mal ritmo de la historia,etc. Pero que sostenía que podía redimirse de estos errores y comenzar plasmar unas buenas bases para su serie en esta segunda temporada, ahora veamos ¿esto finalmente sucedió en esta ocasión?, pues déjenme decirles que NO.
Aunque el programa a comenzado a hincar mas profundo en su trama y saber explotar con algunas de sus revelaciones, sigue careciendo de sustancia y en verdad la serie pareciera no saber que ser de si misma, me explico. obviamente estamos ante una demografía shonen con el genero "Nekketsu" (accion,batallas,etc) en su nucleo, Ahora, el problema radica en cuanto tu arma principal (que son las peleas) se comienzan a volver simplemente aburridas y esto se debe a que mayormente el contexto en el que se realiza no es optimo, ejemplo: "¿De que me sirve ver durante 3 capítulos una batalla para salvar un pilar que ni siquiera quiere ser salvado?" "¿cual es objetivo de destrozar a los Personajes primario/secundarios si nunca dan una sensación de peligro hacia estos, siendo que los únicos en morir son meros terciarios o hasta NPC que su única función es verlos morir? ¿como esperan que empatice con los personajes en cuestión, cuando meramente podemos recordar sus nombres debido en lo poco que se trabaja sobre los mismos?...En fin podría seguir citando ejemplos pero es suficiente con estos.
Ya para ir cerrando aun asi quiero hacer mencion a los pilares que han dado vida y la posibilidad misma de seguir emitiéndose que son la animación y el sonido que mantuvieron a flote el programa. Sin embargo ya le entregue 48 capitulos a una franquicia que no parece tener mucho mas de lo ya ah mostrado y sencillamente es dificil conformarse solo con una "linda puesta en escena" por lo que de mi parte esto sera lo ultimo de Fire Force en mi haber...
