The Tokyo Anime Awards started in 2002, but was named in 2005. The first, second and third award ceremonies were simply named 'Competition'. The award ceremonies were held at the Tokyo International Anime Fair (TAF) until 2013. In 2014, after the merger of the Tokyo International Anime Fair with the Anime Contents Expo and the formation of the AnimeJapan convention, the Tokyo Anime Awards was changed into a separate festival called Tokyo Anime Awards Festival (TAAF). ![]() ![]() This stack is a collection of anime that are either set during summer or convey summer vibes (for example are set in a place next to the ocean). ![]() ![]() Romantic Subtext is a genre in which romance plays an important part of the show, but is not necessarily the main focus. ![]() ![]() This list contains all movies that aren't related with any anime series. ![]() ![]() These are the family based films and films can be watched together with your family. Who said your parents and sibling can't watch anime? Of course, they can too. As long it's decent XD Jokes aside, here is my collection of animes films that your family might enjoy too. ![]() ![]() A list of Anime that are related to water through activities or a setting fundamental to the plot, and have a decent rating. ![]() ![]() The "Scotland Loves Anime" film festival takes place annually in Glasgow and Edinburgh. It was started in 2010 and includes the "Golden Partridge" jury award and audience-voted awards. ![]() ![]() Anime series or movies with a fair amount of realistic scenery of Japanese places (depicted starting from the '80s period) like the modern cities of Tokyo and Osaka, their beautiful suburbs and districts, or a more rural or historical towns like Kamakura or even Kyoto, with a remarkable romantic, nostalgic feeling. Depicted places can be any of Japan transmitting this kind of emotions, like those depicting a modern city centre, schools, beaches, countrysides, the typical Shinto shrines or distant suburbs with typical residential districts streets during particular moments of the year or of the day, like an autumn or cherry blossom scene, or even a beautiful sunset for example, with Japanese crows and black kites in the sky singing their beautiful call, or a typical Japanese train passing along a road or a bridge, why not with the Fujiyama in the background. Anything providing a romantic and nostalgic feeling of Japanese cities is very welcome to this Interest Stack. ![]() ![]() Anime that has the smoothest animation/art style that you shouldn't miss. Something with many frames per second as well as beautiful, vibrant colors, that you don't have a single moment where you'll feel bored. ![]() ![]() The scent of the sea, the smell of chlorine from the pool, and the tears that roll down your cheeks. The sea is as abundant as the sand. Below are animes where the MC is associated with the theme of water, or entities that belong to the sea. Water can be raindrops, the sea, the pool, and tears. It is the foundation of water that leads them to love, find purpose, compete, live or just have fun ![]() ![]() Anything with visually appealing art that makes you go stunned and will make you never want to look away from that scenery, and can be used as your background wallpaper. |
