Pikotarou no Lullaby Lullaby (TV)

Pikotarou no Lullaby Lullaby is a cinematic masterpiece due to it's beautiful story. Of a man getting over his fears. As the story develops the main character slowly becomes more and more fearless. Till the last ep where he gotten over all his fears and able to rest, peacefully. The art rival that of any Kyoto Animation's films and anime. The ending song is beautifully made and it beats the evangelion ending, "Fly me to the moon". I really enjoy this anime, it captivated me the second I lay my eyes on the screen while this was playing. Overall this damn anime is a 20/10. ... None can beat it.

Pikotarou no Lullaby Lullaby is, at its core, a VERY Japanese show. I don't think it should even be considered an anime. This would be one of those shows that'd be in the intermission of a TV series.
Basically, the anime is about bedtime stories, with their very own 'Pikotarou twist' to them. Some of these short stories are globally known, so they're more entertaining to watch. However, due to the cultural boundaries of Japan, many stories have Japanese folk tale based in them, so most people wouldn't get the references implemented into them. Personally, I knew all of the stories (so far at least) so ... I find the show entertaining. However, when I introduced it to a friend, he found it extremely boring. Taking his words "This sounds more like a Japanese podcast. It doesn't look like an anime, sound like an anime. Why is this even on kiss?"

The artist is certainly better than me, so it isn't a 1, but there really is no animation. One background 2-4 character models, 2 or 3 poses of said character, and that's all there is to the show's illustrations.

At least Pikotarou is trying. He does perform each character very well, but I do think only having one voice actor is hindering the show. As for the ending, I love it, but it's too short-just like the show.

Pikotarou plays each character as that character-meaning he's doing well. I don't think anymore could be said in this category.

This certainly isn't an anime, but that doesn't hinder it from being entertaining.

In conclusion, this was very similar to peeping life. It isn't an anime (which keeps it from being good) but it's good comedy (if you get it.) However, don't get your hopes up if you want to watch is. It's short and sweet, but IS NOT FOR EVERYBODY. :)

Each episode is about 3 minutes, including the very short opening and ending. First, let's start with the art : there's no animation whatsoever. It's just a still image, with the characters barely "shaking" when they have a line to say.
Sometimes, the camera zooms in on the character's face, but that's about it. Nothing really changes.

The narrator does all the voices. So Pikotarou does himself and either one or two other characters on screen. His range is limited. Even though we can leave this to humour.

Is it funny or enjoyable? To be honest I would not recommend it to anyone. It looks like each ... episode was made by a 12 year old with Microsoft Paint. Overall, 2/10.
