onara gouou is the most magical and amazing thing to ever exest on planet earth. If you ever plan to make an anime then take insparation from this show. This show realy makes you think. It makes you think of life and why the fuck your waisting it on yhis shit show, it also makes you wonder why this was ever made in the first place. The art is pure beauty. Everything is extremely detailed and colorfull. The sounds are so realistic and makes the truly amazing caracters even more outstanding. And of course i cant forget the truly legendary story about how onara goure ... helped save the world and make it a better place both in the show and in real life because with this show your life and my lifeare so much better.

While at a first glance, one may think of this show as merely another ridiculous 'joke' attempting to disguise itself as a 'comedy,' this anime is, if not, the most captivating series that I have ever received the blessing to watch.

Why?

This show explores the constituents of human nature; what composes the mentality of an individual, and how they descend into the deepest abyss of despair.
However, no matter how prominent, how terrible, or how abysmal their problem is, the fart, Onara Gorou, can solve it. This fart is the definite embodiment of an element that has redefined wisdom. This fart is so wise, ... that he has shrunken the extent of human ignorance, strengthening our perception of reality and providing us with thematic lessons that could potentially grant world peace.

Story - 10 (need I say more?)
Art - 10 (a beautiful palette of colors is used to enhance the already unique backgrounds and designs)
Sound - 10 (the fart noises are absolutely majestic and fill my mortal ears with otherwise unattainable pleasure)
Character - 10 (the fart is well-constructed and well-developed, helping to solve problems only a fart can solve)
Enjoyment - 10 (perhaps the most entertaining yet deep tale I have ever witnessed)

After watching this series, I now am not afraid to release my farts in the midst of public. In fact, I take pride and self-assurance in my farts, knowing that somewhere, someone is cured of their problems solely due to the gas excreted from my rectum.
This show has reformed me - both morally, emotionally, and physically. Presently, I experience absolute and utter bliss as a man who has relinquished all his worries and conquered all his problems. I have been reborn as an individual whose comprehension of the universe exceeds the limit of human knowledge.

Overview:

I have a number of serious and quite lengthy reviews in the works right now, so here is something quick and easy. The motherfuckers behind the much beloved President Trap Kun have struck again!

Plot?:

The plot is about a sentient, talking fart that sometimes solves problems. Everyone seems to know and absolutely adores the talking fart. The humor though "at least for the Japanese audience" actually doesn't revolve around the concept. Nope! Instead it's all about puns and comic wordplay that doesn't translate outside of Japanese. This is Vampire Holmes all over again!

Animation:

This was drawn entirely by one person. I mean...yeah it sucks, but it's ... pretty hard to animate something entirely by yourself on a tight schedule and zero budget.

Soundtrack: A live action band of cute women sing about "eating junkfood and farting without humanity or mercy".

Overall:

Having a cartoon about a talking fart (or shit) isn't what makes this uniquely Japanese. That's the kind of joke White Americans in the 1990s would make. Ren and Stimpy and South Park for example. No, what makes this distinctly Japanese is that a show about a talking fart quickly turns into a bad Manzai routine. Come back next year, when this director inevitably makes a show about a queef that recites Rakugo poetry.

It alters one’s perspective on its cultural significance, exploring such themes as fart romance and the meaning of life for digestive gases, and using these themes to demonstrate poignant, thought-provoking truths…

…What’s that? You think I’m talking out of my ass? Pffffft!

From the creator of such marvels as “Mr. Andou of the Forest” and “Salaryman Man” comes anime’s latest avant-garde classic! It follows the adventures of troubled individuals, who see their lives turned around as they get lectured by an old fart and his heroic inanimate ... smiling sidekick – the true unsung hero, perhaps, for enabling such great deeds to happen while asking for no praise or even name recognition in return! This character is so deep, he contains another entire character that still seems like hot air by comparison! To top it all off, there's even a farewell catchphrase to go with it all!

“Defart!” (“Sayo-onara!”)

I’ll admit, I got some chuckles out of this one, and one or two were legitimate, un-ironic laughs. Regretful, dumb and embarrassed laughs, maybe, but then I came to realize this only amplifies the show’s greatest message. Perhaps our obsession with insisting on higher-than-thou highbrow-over-lowbrow entertainment is all missing the point; why treat our silly little human senses of humour as somehow subhuman? Why downplay the easy comedic options simply because they aren't "refined” or “sophisticated” enough? If one finds them amusing, then maybe there’s no sense feeling embarrassed, or holding it in.

If I really must criticize anything, the only issues I can come up with are pacing problems and slow points, repetition, predictable punchlines, lazy writing, lazier presentation, overly-deadpan delivery to ever-diminishing effect, a soundtrack that's either cheesy or nonexistent, unremarkable sound design, ridiculous logic, and one-dimensional characters with instant and artificial development.

Go watch it, seriously. Experiencing this modern classic requires mere minutes of your time!

This is the type of Anime, once you're done watching it you will say what did I even watch. The point is, that Onara Gorou is a very weird and random comedy which is mainly focused on farts. In fact, there is one episode where 2 farts fall in love with each other. And no, I am not making that up. Some people may be deterred by such dumpster humor, but I decided to watch it because it stood out like a sore thumb and I think farts are funny. Most of the episodes focus on the main character Onara Gorou, appearing out of no ... wear, and a funny sound effect plays and then weirdness ensues. The good thing about Onara Gorou is that each episodes are really short. So if you wanted you could watch them in less than a day heck, even and hour. The point is I thought, Onara Gorou was defiantly one of those Animes that fit into the category of being purposely bad and weird. I Defiantly think you should try and watch Onara Gorou if looking for some pure stupidity.

This anime is a underrated masterpiece that touch themes like self discovering and self acceptation like no other... It's not a drama, but it makes you cry...of happiness

I can assure you that this incredible audiovisual masterpiece changed my life.

Before watching this I was totally ashamed of myself...Sadly I couldn't eat with my friends without going to the bathroom every 5 minutes

Onara Gorou is not perfection, masterpiece, nor amazing, because it is beyond everything. Beyond God Himself, Nekopara, Sinon's and Widowmaker's butt. It transcended to Holy Grail of the Big Bang along with Dat Boi and Cory in the House. You must not watch this anime, because after seeing just one episode, everything - Boobs, pussies, drugs, even nekos - might seem like shit to the masterpi- no to the God that is Onara Gorou. The only way that it can be matched is if you copy the anime itself; from the art, story and sound, and make the protagonist look like Cory from Cory in ... the house.

This is the anime equivalent of "The Room". Just because it gets a poor rating, doesn't mean I don't recommend it. I highly recommend it simply for its sheer stupidity.

Pros:

- Short (only about 40 minutes to watch the entire series)
- Great sense of humor
- Extremely catchy ending song
- Great for anybody who loves extremely bad "so bad they're good" shows and movies

Cons:
...
- Artwork and animation are unexcusable
- The choice they went for for the final episode was an odd choice
- Requires an immature sense of humor for the viewer fully enjoy it

Concluding thoughts:

I highly recommend this. It's lighthearted and often quite hilarious. Definitely not your typical anime, but still good for a good laugh.

The other day I drove home dead drunk drank from a midnight rave. It was a miracle I made it home alive; the four or five cars I almost hit on the highway swerved away in the last second. Stumbling out of the car, I climbed haggardly into the bed with my sweat flowing profusely. I must have slept for a few hours before I suddenly woke up caked in vomit and blood. I was extremely dehydrated and definitely needed medical attention, so I clambered downstairs towards the refrigerator. Now, normally I store my bleach in my refrigerator alongside the orange juice. I've read online ... that cold bleach has a more potent effect on fabrics, so I always keep my bleach cold just in case I need them. So when I reached into my fridge to get my orange juice, and grabbed the bleach in my dazed half-dead state. It took a few minutes of chugging before I realized what I was drinking. SHIT! I screamed and immediately tossed the entire jug against the wall. I began doubling over in pain, the tortuous torrent in my stomach was completely unbearable. I began to feel dizzy from all the pain and I was quickly losing consciousness. Knowing that I needed medical help immediately, I agonizingly drew my phone from my pocket. Entering the code 2,3,4,2 was practically impossible in my current state, but I managed to do it. A surge of bliss overcame me; I was going to be saved, I was going to be ok. Now I feel a slight sense of regret for trying so hard to live. As I looked toward my phone, Onara Gorou was playing. I was killed instantly.

The first 4 episodes were extremely promising, but unfortunately they took a wrong turn.

Given that every episode is 3 minutes, it made episodes 5-13 more bearable than they otherwise would have been.

The show essentially follows this format:

Highschoolers (divided into nerds and bullies) have a mundane problem. This mundane problem then becomes the core idea of a life lesson. In this case, an elderly gentleman, and eventually others including the school principle, shows up and summons a fart from his rectum. This fart is a deep-thinking philosopher who addresses the situation and helps the highschoolers out of it by instructing them and giving them a valuable ... lesson. The number of wise farts increases over time and advice is then given by multiple farts.

The first 3 episodes started out this way:

Elderly fart addresses a physiological problem and educates the viewers about human anatomy
Same thing as episode 1 but with another problem
A new female fart appears and corrects the elderly fart by suggesting that this time, the problem isn't physiological but psychological instead (the topic was love)
Based on those 3 episodes, you would think that the show would use male-fart to teach the viewers about human anatomy/physiological processes and use female-fart to teach the viewers about human emotions/psychology.

Unfortunately, it started diluting the stories, less lessons were offered to the viewer, more farts joined the show and started to become subjects in the show themselves, rather than being the ones who are wise. You started seeing the lives of these farts and live their little problems, which was honestly not very entertaining after having been shown once already.

Art-wise, it's fairly detailed and has a pencil-strokes like style with static, low fps, paper animations. It has a style similar to what you'd except from one of those Youtube parody animations. It's very caricatural as you can imagine. The expressions are exagerated by either being overly stoic or being overly expressive.

They also have an odd music video outro with real people and a CGI version of the wise fart that made the whole thing feel more official than it originally fely like.

The show is basically one whole parody/joke show taken to TV-level production.

Overall, I can only rate this as a "short film"/"video" type of anime. The first 4 episodes were enjoyable, the rest went downhill very fast. Started out top echellon, but it's counter-balanced by the rest, so I'll give it an average rating of 5/10.

Despite what many would say, I believe this series to be a true masterpiece. While watching Onara Gorou, my heart has been captivated by both the plot and amazing artwork. Throughout the series, you can clearly see the definition and development of each of the characters. The brilliant soundtrack, vibrant colours, vast scenery, and fluent animations are but just a few of many things one can expect from such an anime like Onara Gorou.

From my personal experience, Onara Gorou would definitely be a top pick for a series that you should watch, should you wish to live a fulfilling life. Seeing the impact of Onara ... Gorou on other's lives has inspired me to become a better person. Thank you Onara Gorou.

The typical fart joke is something that everyone can find funny. However this series takes that premise and completley turns it on its head. Onara Gorou is a show that personally changed my life. I came into it expecting to be subjected to a barrage of crude fart jokes but what i got instead was an inspiring and heartwarming welcome into real life lessons. There are some episodes where the genre is changed and somehow this show manages to master every single one of them. Onara Gorou isnt just a fart joke funny show, it is a beautifully crafted life lesson and an experience i ... will never forget.

I will be straight up, this anime is amazing.

I have written many joke reviews in the past, some still serving their purpose, some are no longer alive. I have written so much that I have no idea if I am being true to myself or just messing around. But one thing is for sure. Onara Gorou is a great piece of work.

Humour can be interpreted in ways that make it the most inconsistent thing one could imagine. There is no one universally funny joke. So I will just say, for that one minority that loves random media that makes no sense, the kind of anime ... that people say "failed to be funny" (but it is funny in truth smh). Onara Gorou is for you.

Story? Sensei Onara Gorou teaches you how to prevail in life, yes, a fart does that. The very deep and philosophical themes are very deep and philosophical lies in the fact that there are no deep and philosophical themes, or maybe there is? Though, this is a shitpost, literally. Onara Gorou isn't supposed to be something serious as it is just a bruhmoment.jpg, in saying that though, some of the morals of the story do hit home, so there is that to consider. The characters rock the same boat too, pretty sure they were irrelevant and we only come here for the man himself Onara Gorou spitting about some really important life lessons, just not as cringe as some of those YouTube channels.

Audiovisuals? Kino. Mixed manga style with animation from none other than the likes of something like Inferno Cop. The two come hand in hand and whilst it may look like some odd animation, it fits everything about this anime 100%. The same is for audio, ED really catchy, OST not really much, but all the voice acting was pretty something else. Great work.

Enjoyment? Well, considering you have nothing against random entertainment or are very critical about your taste in jokes, this is pretty much very enjoyable. It is clear it doesn't take itself seriously, nor does it even care, but I suppose that what makes it even better. I like random, and Onara Gorou sure does check out in being great at random. Would recommend this for those looking for something that doesn't fit in with the bunch. 10/10.
