Both series are mobage adaptations that were given huge budgets to make a glorified advertisement. Complete creative freedom over how to make it let the authors put their effort into silly and fun shenanigans that emphasize how cute the girls are, and in case of AV making a really badass character-driven story.

Both series treats about a group of five girls with superpowers who fights against unknown, supernatural monsters to save the world, with more groups of other girls doing the same thing.

- Both are based on a card game (according to MAL) - Both take place in a world where different (fantasy) worlds are connected with one way or another - Both anime feature girls fighting with magic or something among those words - Both are mostly set in an HQ for people fighting the other world creatures

The girls were gathered from various combat training schools, united to fight the wild creatures that threaten humanity.

A group of girls are blessed with special abilities used to deal with evil creatures that become threat to mankind and the mysterious phenomenons that cause their world merged/linked to other worlds. And plus, if you expect Girls Love as subtext from watching them.... then you make a good choice! Yuri Will Save Mankind!

Goodlooking girls in cute/sexy uniforms/costumes wielding weapons/using supernatural powers fighting against evil and protecting the world. The difference is, in Mahou Shoujo Tokushusen Asuka, the girls hide their identity as magical girls in public. While in Ange Vierge, the girls' true identity as super heroines are not covered. Its time for the girls pick up their weapons and save the world!

Goodlooking girls in cute/sexy uniforms/costumes wielding weapons/using supernatural powers fighting against evil and protecting the world. The difference is, in Release The Spyce, the girls are spies who hide their identity in public and they seem only to possess outstanding physical prowess and not having supernatural powers. While in Ange Vierge, the girls' true identity as super heroines are not covered and they also possess supernatural powers. Its time for the girls pick up their weapons and save the world!

In a world where men are nearly nonexistent a cast full of girls team up to save the day. However, Hyperdimension Neptunia consists of goddesses while Ange Vierge have super powered girls. Both Neptunia and Ange Vierge have similarities in their setting. Such as the different lands in Hyperdimension and the fusion of different worlds in Ange Vierge.

+ Both tries to protect their world from a foreign danger + Both uses magic + Both surround the topic of friends + Amane (AV) reminds me of Nanoha (MGLN), both tries too hard in secret but is always cheerful and positive on the outside to prevent people from worrying. It's heartbreaking sometimes, from the first few eps of AV and the incident after MGLN A's. They are voiced by the same voice actress, Tamura Yukari. Which is why I got a huge sense of nostalgia for MGLN when Amane talks in the beginning, as they even have similar personalities. - AV has a tad bit too much fanservice  read more

-both of them are centred around girls who fight together and their friendship -both have extraterrestrials who attack earth for no apparent reason -both feature a "newbie" who wants to be stronger and gets the support of the other girls -all the girls have a supernatural power which allows them to fight against the enemies
