Pokemon Fushigi no Dungeon: Magnagate to Mugendai Meikyuu

Well, this exists for some reason.

It definitely looks stunningly pretty, but only because of the lighting: the environments are empty and lacking in detail, even compared to the game they're based on. The character animations are alright, I guess, but nothing really special.

I'd say the story and characters of the game were poorly adapted, but it's more that they weren't adapted at all. The partner goes through their character arc... minus all of parts that actually matter in the slightest. And everyone else may as well not exist.

The music is nothing but generic orchestra, lacking any of the major leitmotifs that the game is famous ... for. If any songs from the game were alluded to, it certainly didn't feel like it. And the voice acting, at least in the dub, is extremely grating. It feels like every other line is being screamed into the microphone.

This is nothing more than an empty advertisement, but at least it has good vibes? I'd usually say "play the game instead", but Gates is easily the worst game in the PMD series out of the ones the west actually got, so... maybe don't, actually.
