i like to tell in brief ....i will tell you about this anime in short ,sweet and understandable way.Starting of this anime is really.. really good.Starting 10 episodes are wonderful to watch. But the viewers are disappointed watching after that.The cases i have seen after 10 episodes are disguisting.....stories that are shown are related to each other but one cannot get what is going on.The story really don't have an account how the most focused character of the anime does his crimes,and how is he able to know about other characters of the anime. After all artwork is very dull , sound is also ... dry ,story is good but only until 10 episodes ,after that it becomes mixed up crap that only special type idiots would like to watch!!! At last i only want to suggest you that don't ever watch this anime unless you have enough guts and patience to handle infinite boredome!!!!!!THAT'S ALL WAS MY OPINION !!!HOPE YOU GET IT!!!!

Monster is the story about Doctor Tenma. He risks his career and reputation to save a small boy rather than an official. Which leads to Tenma losing his promotion amongst other things. Afterwards a string of murders occur benefiting Tenma so he ends up as the primary suspect. So now he goes on a journey to clear his name and put a stop to the person making these murders.

I don't know how the author makes something with a premise this badass boring, but he did it. It has a very good and nice premise but by far one of the worst executions i have ever ... seen. It is a series that stumbles on the very first step. Its fucking boring. It isn't just a slow series. It makes the first half of clannad look like fucking sonic. I understand the appeal of a laid back slow paced series. But this shit is beyond excessive. It is like if one piece was all about Luffy using the boat and finding the one piece. Without any of the action, any of the banter, likability, and general entertainment. It literally is a walking simulator without any of the interesting parts. It established the premise and expected that to carry for the rest of the series. I don't understand why they author thought that was a good idea.

The main villain is this autistic dumbass who's entire thing is pointing its finger at its forehead. Thats pretty much all it does. It is insane and stupid. It is also really odd that this was the thing that the author decided to pick as a villain. There is the main lackey who is literally more charming that the main villain. But thats not really an achievement considering the absolute flat characters most of the cast already is.

Un-entertaining and uninteresting should be the description of this series. It is ridicolous how the author made a 6 episode mini series and decided to strech it to 74 fucking episodes. Really the only interesting part about the series is who the main villain convinces one of the characters to kill him and i think that is the only murder the main villian did on screen (kind of). The OST was also good but so incredibly wasted

here is an entire episode where the Tenma gets gas. The series is so blatant of wasting your time. The author could've have made a medicore 6 episode series instead he opted for making the most boring anime of all time. The series also has this philosophical nonsense like its the first thing to do that but it does so by sacrificing every single thing an entertaining is supposed to be. How am i supposed to question the characters view points when you made them the most flat and 1 dimensional as possible? Just cuz you make them say interesting things doesn't mean the characters themselves became interesting. Lack of varitey. Entertainment. Enjoyablility. All these parts were missing in this series.

This is a boring series and a bad series. However the author decides that he's actually biggest asshole on the planet and gives the audience a huge middle finger by giving the most bullshit open ended nonsense he could give. Its like the author decided to put spikes under you finger nails when he's already forcing you to sit on spikes.

TLDR: This is bad series and the ending isn't giving it any favours. This is what people should watch when you want to know how to not make an anime. This is the 101 on making a bad and boring anime. I was actually gonna give it a 2/10 originally but typing it all out. Wow this is a horribly written series. MAL scoring system does it perfectly. Appalling 1/10

I always heard about Monster and how good, well written and intellectual this work was. It was very difficult to see someone criticizing this anime and, if you did, this person was told that "you didn't understand the work", or even "this is an adult anime, go back to Naruto". Few are the people who risk badmouthing a cult anime for fear of being criticized for it. About me? I generally don't care what others think about me, I form my own opinion about the anime ... that I watch, with Monster it was no different. Shall we start then?

Starting with the technical part of animation and soundtrack. The anime was released in the year 2004 by Madhouse studio, I have a lot of respect for this studio, not for how it is now, but for all its history of anime made. Monster's visuals unfortunately felt dated (unlike older animes such as Cowboy Bebop which seems to be incredibly prettier with each passing year), despite this the art and especially the soundtrack are great for the time that this anime was released.

But leaving the technical part and going to the story, characters and narrative, this is where the anime gets complicated. What is Monster all about? Monster is a story focused (or at least it would have been focused if there weren't so many parallel subplots) on the doctor Tenma. One day, Tenma decides to operate on a boy who had been shot in the head instead of the town mayor who had promised funds to the hospital. Due to this choice, Tenma's career is deeply shaken. A while later in the anime, Tenma discovers that the boy he saved isn't nearly as innocent as he seems and starts a game of cat and mouse between the two. An interesting and badass premise no? Well, a good premise is what often attracts a person to a work, but it's how the anime works on that premise that determines whether it's really good or not. Monster in my opinion lacks in this aspect. The narrative is abysmally slow and get lost in many, many subplots parallel to the main story, this for some is a quality, it makes the anime seem complex and entangled, when in reality it turns out to be an artifice of the author for the anime to seem complex when in fact he's just "stuffing sausage" as the people say in my country. Don't get me wrong some of my favorite works are slow anime, such as Mushishi and Kemono no Souja Erin, but a slow anime to be good has to take the time to get you closer to the characters, develop the story, and not go back and forth from subplots that contribute little to the work in general. The pace of the anime is so slow that, from episode 27 onwards, I started watching it at 1.5x (by the way, I recommend you watch the opening at that speed, trust me, it's really good lol). Combining with all this the anime ends on a laughable cliffhanger leaving the ending open... At least make a closed ending for the anime or don't make one ending at all.

Characters are another problem. I recognize that Monster has complex and well-developed characters, but does that necessarily mean they are good? Not necessarily. A character to be good needs to make you care about him in some way, he needs to be charismatic, he needs to fulfill the role that the work requires of him, most of the time without being superficial. In characters the work fails in the most basic of the ways, which is to make people care about the characters. There was only 1 character in the entire anime that I really cared about and worried about his safety, and that character was Grimmer. As for the great villain of the work, many claim to be the best villain ever created... which for me is very wrong! Want an example of a villain that is much better than him? Frederica Bernkastel from Umineko (manga and VN). In an anime focused on suspense, having only 1 character that the viewer cares about is fatal, the anime loses a lot of its impact. Another thing that took away most of the impact of the suspense is the great repetition of how the suspense scenes are made, always with a similar structure. This takes a lot of the suspense because the result becomes predictable and the anime doesn't even try to surprise you in this case. In a thriller this kills the purpose of the work.

Considering everything I've mentioned I think it's obvious why I didn't like Monster. For me, Monster, besides not being memorable, is an anime that I personally prefer to forget. What started with me having a huge hype, hoping this would become the first anime that I would give a real 10/10, turned into one of the biggest disappointments that I've had in this type of media. My rating for this anime is 3/10. That doesn't mean you shouldn't watch it, in fact I highly recommend you watch it, since the vast majority of people consider this anime a masterpiece. I wanted to like Monster, I really wanted to, but I couldn't. But I also couldn't be absent from giving my opinion seeing the overwhelming amount of reviews praising this anime.

Eu sempre ouvi falar de Monster e o quão boa, bem escrita e intelectual essa obra era. Muito dificilmente se via alguém criticando e se via essa pessoa era dita que "você não entendeu a obra", ou ainda "esse é um anime adulto, volta pro teu narutinho". Poucas são as pessoas que se arriscam falar mal de um anime cult com medo de ser criticado por isso. Quanto a mim? eu geralmente não me importo com o que os outros pensam sobre mim, eu formo minha própria opinião sobre as obras que eu assisto, com Monster não foi diferente. Vamos começar então?

Começando com a parte técnica de animação e trilha sonora. O anime foi lançado no ano de 2004 pelo estúdio Madhouse, eu tenho muito respeito por esse estúdio, não por como ele está agora, mas por toda a sua história de animes feitos. O visual de Monster infelizmente eu senti q está datado (diferente de animes mais antigos como por exemplo Cowboy Bebop que a cada ano que passa parece estar incrivelmente mais bonito), apesar disso a arte e principalmente a trilha sonora são ótimos para a época que este anime fora lançado.

Porém saindo da parte técnica e indo pra história, personagens e narrativa é aqui que o anime se complica. Do que se trata Monster? Monster é uma história focada (ou ao menos era pra ser focada se não fossem tantas subtramas paralelas) no médico Tenma. Um dia, Tenma decide operar um garoto vítima de um disparo na cabeça ao invés do prefeito da cidade que havia prometido fundos ao hospital. Devido a esta escolha a carreira do Tenma é profundamente abalada. Um tempo depois no anime, Tenma descobre que o garoto que ele salvou não é nem um pouco tão inocente quanto parecia e começa um jogo de gato e rato entre os dois. Premissa interessante e badass não? Bem, uma boa premissa é o que muitas vezes atrai uma pessoa pra uma obra, mas é como o anime vai trabalhar encima dessa premissa que determina se ele será realmente bom ou não. Monster em minha opinião peca neste aspecto. A narrativa é abismalmente lenta e se perde em muitas e muitas subtramas paralelas a história principal, isso para alguns é uma qualidade, faz o anime parecer complexo e emaranhado, quando na realidade acaba por ser um artifício do autor pro anime parecer complexo quando na verdade ele só está "enchendo linguiça" como se diz no meu país. Não me entendam errado algumas de minhas obras favoritas são animes lentos, tais como Mushishi e Kemono no Souja Erin, mas um anime lento pra ser bom tem que gastar o tempo pra te aproximar dos personagens, desenvolver a história, e não indo e vindo de subtramas q pouco contribuem com a obra em um geral. O ritmo do anime é tão lento que do episódio 27 em diante eu comecei a assistir ele em 1,5x (aliás, recomendo que assistam a abertura dele nessa velocidade, vai por mim, fica muito boa lol). Combinando com tudo isso o anime termina em um risível cliffhanger deixando o final em aberto... Pelo menos façam um final fechado pro anime ou não façam um.

Personagens são outro problema. Eu reconheço que Monster possui personagens complexos e bem desenvolvidos, mas isso necessariamente significa que eles são bons? Não necessariamente. Um personagem pra ser bom precisa fazer que você se importe com ele de alguma forma, precisa ser carismático, precisa cumprir bem o papel que a obra exige dele muitas vezes sem ser superficial. Os personagens de Monster a obra falha no mais básico que é fazer a pessoa se importar com os personagens. Só teve 1 personagem o anime todo que eu realmente me importei e me preocupei com a sua segurança e esse personagem foi o Grimmer. Quanto ao grande vilão da obra, muitos afirmam ser o melhor vilão já criado... o que pra mim está muito errado! Quer um exemplo de vilão que deixa ele no chinelo? Frederica Bernkastel de Umineko (mangá e VN). Em um anime voltado ao suspense ter só 1 personagem que o espectador se importa é fatal, o anime perde muito seu impacto. Outra coisa que tirou grande parte do impacto do suspense é a grande repetição de como as cenas de suspense são feitas, sempre com uma estrutura parecida. Isso tira boa parte do suspense pq o resultado se torna previsível e o anime nem sequer tenta te surpreender nesse caso. Em um suspense isso mata o objetivo da obra.

Considerando tudo que eu mencionei eu acho que ficou óbvio o porque eu não gostei da obra. Pra mim, Monster além de não ser memorável, é uma obra que eu pessoalmente prefiro esquecer. O que começou comigo tendo um hype enorme, esperando q este se tornasse o primeiro anime que eu daria um 10/10 de verdade, se tornou em uma das maiores decepções que eu já tive neste tipo de mídia. Minha nota pra esse anime é 3/10. Isso não significa que vocês não devem assistir, aliás eu altamente recomendo que vocês assistam, já que a grande maioria das pessoas considera este anime uma masterpiece. Eu queria ter gostado de Monster, queria muito mesmo, mas não consegui. Mas também não podia me ausentar de dar minha opinião vendo a esmagadora quantidade de reviews elogiando este anime.

This is one of the worst shows I've ever watched, hands down. This show has been recommended so many different times on Reddit that I finally got around to watching it. Initially, from the title, I expected it to be an anime that was about a real monster - some kind of demon or hulking figure/creature would be the antagonist. I really truly wish it was that, because what I got instead was a story that dragged on for so long I had to drop the show even though I was only 10 episodes away from completing it.
Want to watch a show where around 100 ... characters will be introduced over the course of the middle of the series who all serve no purpose? Want to watch a show where two main characters will battle over who is the goodiest goody two shoes of the two by not killing a certain character when they get the chance; all while exclaiming "No, you shouldn't kill him, you're too good! Let me do it!" *fails to do it*? Want to watch a show where the main villain is written in a way to be so charismatic, in a world meant to mirror our own in realism, that by the age of like 8 he's able to make other characters think he could be the new Fuhrer of Germany?
If you answered yes to those, then Monster is the show for you!

So, a brief run-down of the story. Dr. Tenma is a Mary Sue Japanese surgeon (literally he's practically Jesus) who works at a top tier hospital in Germany. He's got a great life, married to the daughter of some Hospital executive, and is doing his daily work. One day, he saves some male twin, and oh whoops this kid might be the devil. This kid, and it's not known at the time, but he somehow poisons candies that are then eaten by three hospital executives, which paves the way for Tenma to become head honcho surgeon of the place.
(by the way, how did Johan as a 10 year old poison the hard candies? And even if we assume he did, how did he know that the three guys who ate them would actually eat them? The author tried to base this story in a realistic world, but at least if Johan was some supernatural being this would make sense...)
Tenma eventually gets framed for this 9 years later after a certain detective investigates him. Tenma goes looking for more information about Johan, discovers his twin sister and then oh boy we begin the REAL show.
Now, up until this point, I was fine with the show and was rather engaged. Once things began to be explained, however, I realized just how ridiculous this whole plot was.

For the next FORTY EPISODES Tenma is on the run. This could have been done in 5. You will see character - after character - after character - after character be introduced. Tenma (Jesus) will heal the sick time after time. Most of these characters will serve no purpose later on.

Eventually, more information is discovered about Johan, he's basically some supa soldier created by East Germany orphanages, specifically Kinderheim 511. He's totally got like 270 IQ and maxed charisma, even though every time we see his character it seems he has NONE of that. Give him an actual mind power or some dumb Naruto jutsu, or at least don't pretend like your story has any sort of realism when you try to create a character like Johan.

Tenma begins to find Johan's twin again after our 40 episode worthless interlude is over, and then we begin the around ~5 episode timespan where his twin tries to ****ing remember. Yes, you read that right, 5 episodes are spent with her going, "Oh my gosh, what happened to (ME)?"

After this I basically dropped the show. I was just done. The show felt unrealistic, most of the characters were boring (especially Tenma, Johan, and his twin), and I myself was unimaginably bored yet still continuously shocked when the plot continued to move nowhere. Apparently Johann tries to kill like a small village or something, and Tenma (HA) forgives him? I'm glad I didn't finish this show, to be honest.

The high points of the show were definitely the first 10 episodes when the author wasn't actually explaining the plot in depth. The characters were mostly all boring and one dimensional. I actually enjoyed when Eva (Tenma's ex) was on screen as her character at least felt human to some degree even if she was rather annoying, she brought realistic emotions to the scenes she was in. The other alcoholic of the story, the guy that Johan basically convinces to jump off a building(?) was also interesting, but he was one of the many characters that were introduced in that 40 episode run with 500 other characters that didn't mean anything.

I actually liked the animation and the aesthetics of the show felt cool, though I seem to have differing opinions from most when it comes to animation quality as it's not the most important thing in an anime for me.

I can give some level of props to author for his knowledge of geopolitics for this time period, though he was also writing this only a few years after the timeframe so I'm not sure how many points I can give for that.

Overall, this plot goes nowhere. I'm surprised at the high rating for this show. This show feels like it was written by a teenager trying to write a plot to the level of a show like The Wire, or for more anime-centric fans, Death Note. It tried to sound intelligent yet the logic of the plot was not sound or valid, the characters felt unrealistic, once again especially Tenma and Johan, and there really are no redeeming qualities in my mind. There are other some major themes that this story tries to tackle throughout the show that I haven't mentioned till now, namely the idea of whether it's ok to save everyone or something to that effect. The author provides no great answer to that, I mean, Tenma basically doesn't shoot Johan at the end if I recall from what I read. I suppose the author is some sort of extreme deontologist who believes that the act of killing itself is a problem regardless of circumstance.

At least with a show like Naruto, which I've rated a 3 or a 4, you know what you're getting into, so not a show with a whole lot of depth. Forum posters across the internet, particularly Reddit, will spin you a tale of a show that is so good and so underrated, so you have no idea what you're getting into, which lead me to such large whiplash upon watching this atrocity of art.

My issues with Monster lies in the fact that it has an incoherent plot. I was expecting a ending episode which ties everything in, but I got nothing, literately nothing. The best way to describe Monster is a puzzle that of which the pieces do not combine into a proper whole, some pieces connect with others while other pieces are completely independent of others. Monster gives us well made characters(well for the initial part that is) and explores varying themes and though these aspects may seem to contribute to the plot, they in fact do not.

Much of the story of Monster revolves around Tenma, ... the protagonist, seeking to rectify his own wrong doing of allowing the existence of the antagonist, Johan. As we progress through the anime, we are given more backstory and character development, which provides interesting interaction with characters, but because they are not connected they fail to contribute to the plot of the anime. Each piece has it's own meaning, but when they are put together no contingent meaning can be derived. That is why I view Monster as just an amalgamation of stories occuring that seem to contribute to the plot, but only serves as a mini story. Monster is, in a sense, similar to popular anime such as one piece and bleach in that they share the lack of a coherent overarching story line.

Many of the mini stories in Monster explores the theme of morality such as the dilemma of whether the individual you help is either good or bad and the question of whether a bad person can change for the better, but these themes seem to be brought up arbitrarily. That is, they are neither referenced nor explored in early episodes and just talked about out of the blue which in conjunction with the roller coaster of storytelling pace hints at a lack of contingent storytelling.

The most exceptional aspect of Monster I would say is its characters. I was very fond of Lunge and Eva, but I really did not like Dr. Tenma because he conforms to the common archetype protagonist of modern anime. He is seemingly everywhere and able to help everyone, but his character lacks consistency. He is a dull and contradictory character whose characterization preys on those who desire to see themselves in his position. On the other hand, Lunge was a very well made character. His inability to discern Johan because Johan is intangible to his own reality leads him to chase after Tenma. He exemplifies the modern mentality that defines subjective beliefs as objective beliefs.

Overall

Monster is by no means bad when judged in an overall sense, but I have to be critical because for it to frame it as having a seemingly contingent plot and yet it does not pull the plot pieces together makes it just a bunch of small stories within an anime. Some stories are better than other, but those that that delved in psychology I found to be the most dull, because they argued on the basis that sad emotions makes what it frames as "Monster" and happy emotions is what makes a normal person. This kind of psychological deduction is quite myopic and nonsensical. That being said though I found the psychological aspect to be quite dull, the manner in which this aspect was shown to me was quite skilled.

Monster is a shinning star between the anime community members; are you a death note fan? then monster is having a high potential to jump into your top anime list. this is what I had in mind when I started the show then end up with huge disappointment.

Story:
I don not have much enthusiasm to the main character being a doctor, however I though that the story Has a lot of potential at first 5 to 6 eps, then we started with a loop of meaningless one shots, but still ok with that, until I ... realized that every single part of plot is an air bubble, the mysterious connection with Johan and the rich man, also the red roe mansion has a lot of vibes and meaning and entering that place means you are facing your own death right? it is just literally a one empty room and this applied almost to all the plot.
But how Johan managed to know all of those information about all the people of Czech and Germany, and what really had happened to them it just doesn't make sense.
Why Johan was the one who effected the most when the sister was the experiment subject ?

Tenma: a doctor who is trying to atone his sin, all the others have more lines than him.

Nina: one of the ominous, her lines are mostly "I remembered" and "I don't know"
Grimmer :not really a MC however the only remarkable one

The animation :
is not the best consider it is from 2004 however the quality really droped at the last 4 eps/

My reasons for the low rating.

1. This whole is Tenma guilty thing felt really pointless, jarring & kind of annoying to watch. We know he's not guilty so why do this whole circus? I really liked Lunge but he was so lost for like 75% of the show or so trying to catch Tenma.

2. Plotholes. How did Johan get poisoned candy when he was just shot as a kid? Also Johans "abilities" were never explained. The scene where he gives the police guy the alcohol is cool & all but I feel like we need an explanation how he's able to look into people's ... souls or whatever. When Johans disciple Christof Sievernich talked to Martin Reest, Christof also seemed to look inside Martins soul & pick him apart, almost as if Johan is teaching it to him. So I thought they were about to explain the ability but they just never did. Johan also seems to be able to look into the future, when he said an Asian man is going to kill him. Feel like an explanation is necessary.
I think Annas/Ninas constant panic attacks were a plothole too? Why is she even having panic attacks? Is it because she saw 40 people die in that rose mansion? But she saw way more people die during the show especially towards the end & she didn't get those annoying panic attacks from that either. Anna is so badass in the beginning but got so annoying later because of those panic attacks.

3. I didn't like the last arc, nor the ending. The show was constantly teasing the ending like something crazy is about to happen. Like Johan has a crazy plan to kill everyone, they even said at some point he wants to be the last person on the planet. "The monster in me is about to explode" & so on, or when Johan cut off the cassette tape because the audio was so top secret apparently, all this build up was so dramatic. It honestly feels like the author had a different, better last arc in mind but had to scratch that for some reason. Solving the mystery about 511 Kinderheim & Johans past was the main reason I kept watching this boring show but in the end it wasn't that interesting or worth it.
The ending was inexcusably bad in my opinion, I honestly hope Johan kills another 1000 people just for Tenmas decision.

4. Lastly, it was just plain boring most of the time. Watching a show is kind of like listening to music. Either you feel it or you don't & I felt so drained after the 74 episodes.

I watched Monster for two or three months, while my brother watched it in one gulp in a couple of days and was wildly delighted.
But for me, the series is so wildly drawn out and dull, if the first episodes are intriguing, then everything hangs and rolls into shit. Again, a ragged protagonist, a bunch of new and sometimes useless characters who are introduced as the story progresses and immediately thrown into the trash, a bunch of deaths, screams, whining, snot, a blurry end, bad animation. The opening that rapes the ears.
It could all fit in 20 episodes.

A simple google search for the show monster would end with you pulling up a repository of all your favourite NTR doujin protagonists, but i'm here to convince you that's not reason enough to hold the show in such high esteem, and here's why:-

The show starts with a Mary Sue Japanese surgeon who is forced to decide on whether to operate on a dying child who came to him first or some rich dying politician whom his father in law, the hospital director, wants him to operate on first. Hilarity ensues as our conscientious mary sue combats the peer pressure of his awfully caricatured ... evil looking coworkers, wife, and father in law to save the life of the child cause first come first served is the foundation of modern civilisation. Actually, JK, he had some weird caricature of a mourning woman whose husband died come to him and tell him he's such a good doctor so he could've saved him reeee. Said woman's ramblings convinced our hero that it would only be morally right to operate on the child and not the politician (evil occupation+rich+first come first served bitch!)

Following this apparently there's a breakdown in a lot of his important human relations and his career, but worry not, the author has a plan to bore you with a pseudo-profound exploration of morality as the child this surgeon saved is about to turn into a full fledged psychopath. Our conscientious Mary Sue from hereon gets a new self actualization goal, to stop this wanker from swatting more of these jojoverse charas/ BBM caricatures.

If you don't already see the issue in the type of work it's turning out to be, no problem, just combine that with what I'm about to talk about. Did you notice how all the side characters except our surgeon MC look like ugly bastards from NTR hentai? If not, try looking around a little. They seem to exist there to contrast as unsubtly as possible our mary sue MC with the rest of the characters in the story who lack his moral greatness. Afterall, the point of the story is to explore the moral distress of our Mary Sue. The characters don't just look like ugly bastards, they exhibit exactly the values you see on their faces and they also do this just as unsubtly. It's there to accentuate the Mary Sue nature of the MC.

The show looks overly serious and drab as if it actually is a serious work with a lot of thought put into it, but actually it is very unsubtle, dull, and barebones where all the developments feel forced and the absolute lack of viscerality in the scenes make it so easy to spot what the author is trying to do with the caricatures and our mary sue. It only works to accentuate the aforementioned contrast to levels it shouldn't reach. This contrast then just highlighs how artificial the story writing is where you see moment to moment what the author is making the character do and why. It's like seeing the seams of a cloth along with the cloth THROUGHOUT the episode. See you can tell these things, but usually you have to put effort into making it out, Like "oh the author made her say this, that actually helps bring out the feeling of tenderness between the charas, and that he is trying to show she is that much more comfortable with him now than at the start of the show" etc. Monster isn't like this, it's in your face from moment to moment, every moment. Extremely unsubtle and extremely low effort, like just see the dull moral dilemma that started this dull show in para 1.

The plot is so generic that I don't know what to watch it for and then there's all this, just imagine what you're in for in 74 eps. It might work as an afternoon soap on TV, but this is competing with anime with all its animeisms. The only animeism here is the caricatured faces, but the content is from an uninspired afternoon TV soap. With caricatured characters like these likely jojo kind of comedy might work, just make it more memey internet red pill kind of trashy with waifu beating humour and what not. This is irredeemable stuff. 1/10.
