This interest stack is filled with anime that is both romantic and dramatic. It is meant for watchers who want to see a serious romance unfold among dramatic twists and turns. These titles have very little comedy and stay serious until the very end! This list is non-exhaustive as it only includes titles that I have watched.

Only the first season of a series is listed. All sequels fall under the same category of "romantic dramas."

The characters are hiding what they are, even it is whether consciously or not.
Others are just lost and don't know themselves

PS: not all characters who are hiding under masks are necessarily the protagonists, they can
have secondary or tertiary characters with weight in the story

A list filled with a wide variety of animes that’ll inflict emotions of some sort, whether it’s positive or negative (or perhaps even a mix of both). All the animes listed here are animes that has personally affected me, for better or for worse. I hope you can find something here that at least wouldn’t feel like another boring isekai and hopefully leaves some sort of lasting impact on your mind.

For simplicity’s sake, any animes with multiple entries I’ll only add the first entry and drop the most ideal watch order next to it.

This list will be constantly updating as I’m still watching more animes, so look out for more entries in the future!

Have you ever felt dead inside after watching a romantic drama? I did, after White Album 2. The music and the two main girls left heavy impression on me. This interest stack was inspired by that show, in hope that anyone, who stumbles upon this list, looking for an anime that may crush their soul, find some that fit their taste.

As you see in the title, it's a Challenge, with a few rules:
- you can add up to 9 heartbreaking, soul crashing, depressing anime to this interest stack
-title must be <your username>`s anime challenge (9 heartbreaking anime)

Anime that set in winter or about winter/christmas. Just a few scene that have snow doesn't count

Personal recommendation of titles with great romance story, romantic subtext, or wonderful couples. A collection ranging from 1995 to 2023. Actively adding.

These anime take their time to develop, but once they do, there is no turning back.
Some might appear to have no plot or continuity, taking even entire seasons to develop.

Some of these are tagged as such in AniDB, some others are from my experience watching them.
