A few months have passed since the VF Circuit, and Aichi is now in High School. However Aichi is in a different high school than most of his friends, a high school where the instructors focus on looking towards the future. One day Aichi admits he thinks Cardfight can be a future people can believe in, but in order to prove it Aichi must use his new deck, a deck in which Royal Paladins and Gold Paladins are combined as one force. Slowly but surely Aichi must gain friends through Cardfighting and help his new team win the newly formed high school cardfighting championships.
The short description of this season of CardFight! Vanguard is that if you feel disappointed of the first 2 seasons, then give this one a try. There is actually a antagonist that appears in more than half the season's episodes. I think the developers get a pat on the back for that, so I recommend this season because you would probably won't be as disappointed.
CardFight! Vanguard: Link Joker was amazing. If you watched the first two seasons of this series, I think this season is a big improvement. When I watch a series like this one, I also look for the antagonist's plan and progress
before the protagonists beat them and save the world. Adding that on the Rate the Anime list MyAnimeList already makes us rate.
Warning: If you haven't watched the first 2 seasons, this part of the review has a lot of spoilers of them, plus the fact that you probably won't know what I'm talking about.
I gave story a 10 because the plot was really unique and got to the start of the villain's plan really quickly. Back in the first season Ren's plan didn't start until the 43rd episode of the season. I didn't really know what he was trying to accomplish, but I don't expect a lot from an intro season. The Asian Circuit was similar because nothing actually started happening until the last 5 episodes. This season was much better because in the half way point of the season the plot started to unravel and the first half wasn't that bad either.
I gave the art an 8 because the card and character art was really good. The art lost points for the lack of movement in the battle, since there are a lot of battle scenes in the anime I expected some more movement. Not as amazing as Fate/stay night, but at least some more movement in the battles.
I gave the sound a 9 because the soundtrack is really amazing. The openings songs were the best songs I've heard in a while. Of course I don't expect everyone to have the same music taste as me, but it is something you should listen to.
I find it the characters in this series great. Aichi is now an overpowered card fighter, Kai is a selfish brat, Naoki is an overexcited card fighter and I think Kourin is in love with Aichi. The character that surprised many people is the now evil Takuto, you know Takuto from the second season and he was like the god of Cray. It was interesting watching Takuto become evil.
Antagonist Plan and Progress
The plan of Takuto was to make every card fighter evil, he was 99/100 done his plan because the only person that stood in his way in the end was Aichi and the card fight club. His plan was really good, if Aichi wasn't overpowered in card fights, he would've won and taken over the world.
if you like anime similar to Yu Gi Oh this anime is right for you.
In short, the story takes place between the school desks: a group of boys play habitually fighting with their imagination. Sendou Aichi is the typical frightened Japanese boy who predictably becomes a great fighter over time. Another protagonist is Kai Toshiki, an excellent player, defined by all as the absolute best. Naturally the salient part is all in the two main characters: a first defeat of Aichi can be expected up to a crescendo in which in the episode 13 will be the boy to win on the great champion. But
these are obviously my assumptions.
I would call it an anime for fans of the genre.
I was waiting for this to happen. Cardfight: Vanguard finally has a full-size plot.
In former series the characters just participated in tournaments and rescued the world (or even entire universe). Now they are at school, starting their own cardfighting club.
I like the new plot mainly because it features life of high-school students (a very popular theme in manga and anime). There are new characters and some background characters now become foreground. What's more I think that the characters have become some kind of more mature (they are in high-school after all).
I think that art has slightly improved compared to the former series.
What is really good
about this series is that it simply makes me laugh. It's just funny.
I really hope for some more 'slice of life' themes in the upcoming episodes, though playing 'Vanguard' still remains the main theme for the series.
For those who like Trading Card Games it's really worth watching.
Cardfight vanguard is an interesting anime that helped bring up the card game as we know it today, When i started watching anime this was one of the first's that was introduced to me. It has nice looking art with an alright character design and a plot line to the brim with fillers. I wanted to review this because the third season of Cardfight!! Vanguard, deserves more credit then it is getting. It is great to finally see some sort of plot line again like it the first one and i am excited to see where it goes. I think this season deserves a 7
because of its overall quality. It has funny some hilarious moments in that that make me laugh out loud and i enjoy watching it overall. Now while the series is not finished yet I hope that more story and less filler will be added and we can see the new cardfight vanguard club in action. Thanks for reading my very first anime review and hope you enjoy watching Cardfight!! Vanguard: Link Joker-hen
