Interest StacksSometimes, you just want to see cute characters suffer. fast-pacing, dopamine over 9000, animation that has a visual style that looks like everyone got a sugar rush. Is all about being EXTREME. Mecha anime where the characters don't pilot the robots but fight alongside them or control them remotely. Ordered alphabetically by their English titles. The mecha genre is specific to the anime medium, for the reason that what once started from an interesting concept, over the decades and the various artistic interpretations it had gone through, did managed to reach it's full development and thematic recognition. Only series that are ranked below 2,000 in 'Popularity' on MAL. Although none of these anime have a tag/theme that denotes them as psychological, they all use cinematographic tactics often seen in psychological media to explore different aspects of the human condition and tackle atypical and philosophical topics. people tell me I have weird tastes. But I enjoy a good amount of series. I also watch alot that others havent seen, so I wanted to compile some good ones I have enjoyed that many may have not seen. Anime series not so well known for their titles, some not necessarily underestimated, but easy to go unnoticed in the community. A protagonist duo that watches each others backs or one of the duo providing support to the more able partner. Anime that are animated in/play in 30 frames per second, rather than 24, giving them a much smoother look. There seem to be a lot of ways to watch anime but sometimes there are certain outliers that don't make their way to any legal streaming service OUTSIDE OF JAPAN (these criteria are mainly made using LiveChart.me as they list official streaming services to view anime and The Streamable), this stack aims to shine a light on these series, however, some rules are to be followed: Original TV anime from 1996 to 2002, I characterize this era as 'post-eva' as a good number of these series contain aspects that resemble Evangelion, some were even inspired by it. |
