New Interest Stack
Interest StacksIs it true that there's no better salvation than not being born in this world? Is the world that ugly that it's not worth living in? Should I even give it a chance? Anime series or movies with a fair amount of realistic scenery of modern Japanese cities (starting from the '80s) like Tokyo or any other, with a remarkable romantic or nostalgic feeling, like those depicting cities centre, schools or distant suburbs with typical residential streets during particular moments of the year or of the day, like an autumn or cherry blossom scene, or even a beautiful sunset for example, with Japanese crows and black kites in the sky making singing their beautiful call, or a typical Japanese train passing along a road or a bridge, why not with the Fujiyama in the background. Anything providing a romantic and nostalgic feeling of Japanese cities is very welcome to this Interest Stack. Any anime which is popular not only for its story, visual art or characters but also particularly remarkable among both fans and anime critics for its unique and special soundtrack. Generally speaking these are shows that fit one OR more of these adjectives: Experimental, Avant-Garde, Psychological, Philosophical, Obscure, Classic, Critically Acclaimed, Artsy, Old, etc... Collection of psychological anime that contain interesting themes and elements that make viewers think and inquire about the characters and the complexity of the plot. Denpa as a genre usually refers to Japanese artistic works with themes associated with social isolation, existentialism, insanity that stems from living modern society, and the glorification of otaku/outsider cultures. Examples of denpa in other mediums include the films of Hideaki Anno (Love and Pop, Ritual) and the films of Shunji Iwai (All About Lily Chou-Chou), as well as the visual novel Wonderful Everyday Down the Rabbit-hole. Anime featuring dysfunctional protagonists who shut ins/NEETs look up to, in other words, anime that feature "sigma" men and women. These characters can be seen as positive role models to a certain extent, given their resistance to social norms and pressures. Flaws... don't go away easily for a lot of people. Whether you're trying to embrace fear, loss, or even trying to fit in when you're different in society really. The cure for so many things is connection and we may think "no one wants to connect with me" but all we need is just to find the right people who appreciate us. Someone who hears our voices, someone who appreciates our existence and accepts us for who we are Melancholy, sadness, nostalgia, and sorrow, are mixed up with surreal colors and beautiful animation. list of psychological, strange and experimental anime. A list of anime that deals with mental illness or other neurodivergence. It may be a main part of the show or just something a main character deals with that contributes to the plot in some way. This is going to be an incomplete stack as I have only seen around 400 shows and there are probably so many that I have missed. If you comment on my profile one that belongs and why, I would love to add it. Shows/Movies of all kinds that are either meant for or can be enjoyed by an older audience.
