| This episode was the best compared to the other episodes. Loved the scene where Denji wakes up with the 3rd ending playing in the background, it almost sounded like an anthem. And damn Kobeni was so freakin' cool. This episode changed my view of her. I hope we can see her fight more seriously in the coming episodes. I can see why everyone fears Makima. Can't wait to know more about her devil. The ending...as expected of Aimer. It was beautiful. |
| I unfortunately read the manga after the last episode after trying not to get ahead with the manga so I would be able to enjoy the anime. Makima and Kobeni def got the spotlight this episode. I thought the episode progression was done very well and matched the vibe of the manga. They did cut out the scene of makima obliterating the shooters in the train and added the scene where she changed clothes? (could be wrong) I thought that made sense. |

No, that sequence was pretty faithfully adapted. We didn't see what she did, only the aftermath. The shots with the convicts in the vans and of Makima changing were added in for the anime, which I thought was kinda neat. If you've only read the manga once but want to get deeper into CSM I'd suggest a reread or two. Fujimoto paneling makes it piss easy to breeze through the entire thing. Rereading will really recontextualize later parts and you can spot some pretty nice foreshadowing. |

| I was one of the Kobeni haters as she acted cowardly in the eternity devil part but she redeemed herself here. Regarding Makima, I'm thinking she's either a devil hybrid like Denji or maybe a fiend? I'm guessing we'll find that out later and as far as her power, damn, it looks like she can have anyone killed as long as she has a human body to use as a sacrifice and crows to find the targeted person. Also, it looks like the gun devil wanted to exterminate the entire group and take Denji's heart but I wonder what the purpose of that is? Maybe it has some special power? Lastly, that girl with the snake devil, who is she? Is her power level similar to Makima's? Do they know each other? She did curse Makima when her henchmen started getting killed. Looking forward to the remaining episodes that's for sure. |

| Another amazing episode! Himeno's death was really tragic, Makima was so powerful, she's really scary, and the whole fighting scene was great and perfect with Maximum the Hormone in the background! 10/10! |

| The Kobeni sakuga scene was awesome, also Makima's extermination of the henchmen was great and gory I also appreciated the use of one of the previous ending themes during the cold open, so cool! |
| Jesus fuck, what a fantastic episode. Makima's power is retardedly OP and Kobeni totally redeemed herself (I saw her as a shitty character previously). Only real negative thing I could say was, the fight scene between Swordman and Denji seemed poorly animated. Just thought it could have been a lot better. |

| This episode really disappointed me a lot, which doesn't mean it was bad, but I expected more, at the end of ep 8 they wanted to make it look like the members of the divisions had been killed, of course anyone who has any experience with fiction noticed that they wouldn't kill everyone, but this hook that leaves everyone waiting to know who died, who didn't, worked very well. now the sequence of events of ep 9 was really disappointing, first it shows us another Denji fight, which is cool, but we saw Denji once again taking a beating, it makes us wonder why this demon wants Denji so much? It shouldn't be feared as makima said earlier, because despite being cool, the chainsaw demon doesn't prove to be as scary in combat as its name makes it out to be, And finally makima's ability, which tries to show us tremendous imposing power, however I hope I'm not right and the only two survivors have a good reason to get out alive than just pure coincidence or lack of prisoners for makima to use her power, that would be much more disappointing, killing about 30 extras that no one cares about and none of the enemies that seem to be relevant would prove to be a huge mistake. However I hope I'm wrong because chainsawman has been pleasing me a lot until now. |
