Hello^^
Recently I saw your forum sig/avatar.
What pairing is that and which characters are they and in which anime do they appear? I'm just interested^^

I'm a big fan of mai hasbando. I used to call this one girl insane becuz she likes Harrison Ford (I still think that's insane though) and I never thought that I'd like a guy in his 40's. But yeah, that's House for you, seducing teenage girls all over the world. Did you see all the episodes?

Haha, the welcome to the ways of HD :p

And... I watched the original FMA dubbed so... :p
I do think he is a lot less sexy, though, and his voice seemed odd to me... even though I hadn't seen it subbed. And it's not because of that either as most of the other voices sat well with me. D:

And yes... it almost fell below with the last three episodes utterly destroying my image of it... but it had a brilliantly appeasing last few moments of the finale and the final three episodes, though bad, still had some good points to them which I couldn't ignore. Overall it was a great romantic comedy which I figured deserved its place in my top five. Unfortunate to have such a short reign over my favourites for Ga-Rei, however. First to be kicked off in less than 7 months; taken out in a mere 3 months.

And my tl;dr review of first impressions of everything I've seen so far this spring:

K-ON!, as this springs Kyoani anime, might be right up your ally. It's got Lucky Star's flavour with some musical touch... enough that even I can enjoy it somewhat.

A definite quality anime, despite what you may think of the premise, is Basquash!

And Higashi no Eden is taking the spot on Noitamina's anime section. (That which previously bore such titles as Paradise Kiss, Honey and Clover, and Nodame Cantabile). And it's certainly interesting enough. (Amongst my highest rated from the first episode, and will probably stay on top of this season, I imagine.)

Production I.G. brought out a rather beautiful animated movie at the beginning of the month. "The Sky Crawlers" is really something to itch your brain at.

For FMA fans there is the FMA remake. I've mixed feelings about it though as the previous adaptation was done quite splendidly. And there's the Hayate sequel for Hayate fans.

Fans of Phantomhive might also enjoy Pandora Hearts, a similarly styled story of fantasy as well as a decent shoujo... but quite generic nonetheless.

The loli anime of the season, Saki, is also quite the shounen styled comedy. A mahjong anime that is sitting well with me in entertainment despite the gonzo name.

And of Gonzo... also comes Shangri-la. We can already see their economic troubles hurting the production values but it still managed to start off with some beautiful scenery, an interesting setting, and some styles of action that I will probably enjoy. Though the characters could use a tune up... they seemed somewhat bland from my first impressions at least.

Hatsukoi Limited looks like it might be the next School Rumble... or another piece of crappy ecchi harem... well... we'll see?

Asura Cryin', though already making itself out to have horribly placed harem elements similar to those of Shikebane Hime (And the music to boot...), seems to have quite a nice premise. So it's something else that is interesting to me at the moment with a mere 85% chance of failing me miserably.

Valkyria is pretty to look at, it was quite promising from the onset but tripped over itself in the second episode with horrible pacing and generic plot development... well, it's the adaptation of a RPG after all.

As for what I'd suggest... I suppose the above in that order depending on your interest. (Obviously "FMA fans" would only be relevant to FMA fans, for instance.)
Whew... I guess I still have a lot more to check out as well... and I thought I was already watching a lot from the mess of folders I have going at the moment... ;.;

Indeed. On the second point at least...

Yomi-kun | 02-25-09, 6:38 AM
hello, its been awhile.

how are you?

asandari | 02-24-09, 7:58 PM
I will admit to very teary eyes.
No tears escaped my lashes, however. So I cannot qualify it as crying. D:

asandari | 02-22-09, 10:05 PM
Nope. D:

Yandere | 02-13-09, 6:12 PM

asandari | 01-21-09, 8:24 PM
Yes :D
It had awesome action scenes. The character interaction was well played, and it had a depressing atmosphere. Episode 8 intro was absolutely perfect. Great opening song, good art, annoying cg, nice animation. Premise is fine, characters decent, etc. Saying more about it may include spoilers.
