About me?
Well, I'm a relative newbie when it comes to anime, though I am slowly making my way towards otaku-hood. My first anime (outside of Pokemon, Yugioh et al.) was Naruto, about 4 years ago, and since then I've been hunting down as many animes as I could.
What attracts me to anime? It's hard to say, though it probably boils down to the creativity, aesthetics and sentimentality that you'd be hard pressed to find in Western animations outside of older Disney movies and Pixar (which also happens to be CG). Honestly, when was the last time you saw something this pretty in a hand-drawn Western cartoon?
As for my taste in anime, mostly anything goes. Shonen, mecha, dramas, even moe-blob slice-of-life series--as long as the plot and characters are nice and there's plenty of content to keep me wanting to watch. Of course great visuals and music are always a plus. Currently I'm trying to catch up on fairly recent good animes that I've heard about (TBH, probably almost all the animes I've seen aired in the last 4-5 years), though I'll try to get into classics sometime soon. At the moment it's somewhat difficult to break from the sleek, polished animation of modern animes :D
Other than anime, I also like playing piano and clarinet (no good at the former), tennis, being somewhat of a physics geek, and the usual mix of music, video games, and just chilling and blowing off homework till later :P New hobby as of recently: instrumental covers of anime songs! http://www.youtube.com/user/linnaes

Yeah SAO was a let down. It was nice to see my favorite characters move around and talk though ^_^
I actually enjoyed Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun to be honest. I guess I find shoujo humor funny O.O
I actually haven't watched Chuunibyou. I guess I should watch it then :)
I'll try to practice my clarinet skills as they aren't nearly as good as yours >_<

I'm actually in China right now for a language immersion program 0.o
It's really difficult considering I can't understand what people are saying >_<
But anyway, the internet at my host family's house is meh, so my anime watching pace has slowed a bit, but I'm still catching up with the anime right now.
Have you seen the Summer 2012 anime yet? Most of it looks...fanservice-y, do you understand what I'm saying?

Yeah, this season is packed with anime that CAN be good (doesn't always mean it ends up good though T_T)
Especially Fate/Zero. They set the bar so damn high that I'm praying to god that they don't fuck it all up.
