I'm a self proclaimed Bohemian.
I got into anime in my sophomore year of college when I roomed with the President of the college anime club, the rest, the cliche says, is history. I only watch anime when I'm bored of studying or there's nothing better to do, but 150 anime series and movies would speak otherwise.
I'm on the look out for particular genre of anime, mystery and intrigue oriented with some action, Ghost in the Shell:SAC is a classic example of what I'm looking for... all suggestions and questions are welcome. Feel free to ask me anything about what I've watched. For some reason, I feel like I'm running out of decent stuff to watch...

I never saw Darker than Black but Ga-Rei is... ok. It's something to watch and is getting better, but it is very strange. The first ep was awesome because it has a _huge_ woah factor, but... I dunno. Since ep 3 it has been all about the time before ep 1.
If you do watch it, give it till the most recent before you decide.

Its pretty hard not to notice the similarities between Balsa and the Major. Thats one of the main reasons I watched Seirei no Moribito, I really like strong female protagonists.
As for the second comment: I find myself leaning to like the 2nd GIG more than the first GIG the more I watch it for various reasons including: animation budget upgrade and consistency, the Major actually wears decent outfits, the arrangement of SAC episodes nicely balanced with the plot at the same time, and the character development.

The only reason the anime list is pretty up to date is because I was EXCEPTIONALLY bored one day. Am waiting for another day like that so I can sort out the manga list :P

Yeah, HxH is pretty much perfect story and character wise, development was about the best that was done. At the end it still left me wanting more and more, I wish more animes were like this. I guess I could have ding'd the animation a little more for not being as pretty as possible but it suited the rest of the anime.

Wow, LuckY! I haven't even seen the Emirates stadium in real life. Did Arsenal win the matches you saw? =D What am I saying, of course they did=P
I like the Spanish and Italian leagues better than the English... probably coz the guys are hotter and it's easier to watch over here. You have to buy an expensive satellite dish to watch the Premiership, and my mum said No, but my friends dad is a supporter if ... I think... Arsenal, yeah, so I'll be round their house a lot.
So you're English? Or just from somewhere else in America? What's your major? A friend of mine studies in NY... Polytechnic something...So you have a lot of graduation projects to do? Ew... good luck with that.
King of Fighters...? The episodes are only about 5 minutes long and I liked the drawing, the story was way too abstract for me to understand what was going on and since I've never played the game I gave up and the guys were kinda hott.

Ah... well... Speed Grapher gets better. You watched te first few episodes, or only the first one? You have something against photographers? =D He isn't so bad.
So how come a guy living in New York likes Permiership football?
Lucky you being able to watch Hellsing OVA! You have it on DVD or..?

Well budget or not, if they still found more money somehow and made the artwork/story better they might make that money back.
Im very bad at reading manga if i've already seen the anime.

Wonderful Days = Wonderful animation, it's almost like art. The plot left a lot to be desired, pacing wasn't great and there was a lot of predictability and some stuff which seemed out of character. Still, the sheer beauty of it made it worth watching if only to ogle at the animation.

I don't think there are enough reviews out on this site to be honest. I mean c'mon, nobody reviewed Vampire Hunter D or Macross Plus? I'm currently reviewing the less popular stuff as I watch it (Dirty Pair), if it's reviewed I normally don't review it.

12 Kingdoms is one of those animes that can go on for 100+ episodes easily because of how many other stories that are still untold in the world they fashioned. Besides the Taiki (Black Kirin) story, there's also hanging questions about the dead kirin of one of the kingdoms, which does not have a ranka growing! I'd like to see more of the little girl queen also, not to mention what happened to Youko's neighboring kingdom of Kou that was trying to annex her? Did a new kirin pick a new king/queen?
I asked around a lot and they said the novel hadn't come out yet so the anime couldn't be done. Apparently the novel is supposed to be out in Mar/April 2007, maybe there will be translations somewhere for us non Japanese readers. There's several petition sites, but nothing has happened. I wish there was organized petitions so we could motivate the business people to get the rest of the stories made.
