There's still time to get your votes in for the Anime Alley Champagne Room club June anime, manga, and character relations poll: http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=300724. There are two tight races in there so every vote counts. :)

I can understand that, though with certain works I can't imagine the effect beings replicated without: 1) a substantial budget and 2) a competent director. Even then it may be impossible -- for example, I read the eighth volume of Yotsuba&! recently, and the ending of the chapter with the typhoon cannot be successfully replicated in motion. Too dependent on how time in comics works.

I am surprised that you have not read more manga.

I can't personally vouch for DVDPacific but I did know melonpan used to be a big fan of the store, stating that, as you said, they were cheap and speedy on delivery. Is ordering straight from Amazon US out of the question then, since they seem to be in stock.

I shall now return to being patient for a review.

I want an After Story review by you, so, er, get on that asap.

"Explicitness is vastly overrated"

...in Anime? I couldn't have said it better

how does one discreetly talk of women in string bikinis'.

Oh wait!..wait! I think I have a brainstorm.

"Bathing Attire"

So Zinki how is things

you been watching Railgun like you should be, good good.
Thing is it's only marginally started to get interesting. With Kuroko being a dyke like she is, she makes it piont blank obvious and becomes the most annoying character in the show. Who knows it may be ayase's future waifu.
Whats happening know is at ep 14 people that used the level upper are all having to go to this special school program, not sure where the series is heading, but 10 more ep down the line and there may be some form of communal relationship in this class. which seems a lot nicer plot to have then seeing Kuroko in skimpy swim suits and thongs.
Plus they've brought the loveable Komoe back for this study group

Hello ducky

Sorry for the late reply, haven't spent much time on here recently...

That is an interesting interview, thanks for pointing it out. Y' see, I still find Miyazaki's films fascinating even though they're not aimed at me. They seem to be so much more well thought out (and be a lot more thought provoking even for the younger audience they are aimed at) than most entertainment for youngsters these days. I'm someone who believes you should seperate the man from the art as much as possible - No matter what he personally thinks, I view his films as seperate to him as an individual. And I think it's the positive characters which are almost more important in his films than the stories themselves. As Miyazaki himself says, he doesn't share his pessimism through his work as he doesn't want to burden others with it (especially children) and I can understand this point of view. They still definately have messages in there for adults as well, mainly relating I think to their treatment and view of children.

Hmm, you've started Macross there I see. How're you finding it? I want to start it as well (I've wanted to see it for ages) but I've Last Exile to finish first.

You don't seem to be an easy goose to please. Spirited Away, five out of ten Sir? Why the animation alone warrants higher than that!
