Hardcore weaboo gamer, professional degenerate, and longtime anime observer, intellectual, and prophet; the so-called Weaboo_Blink greets you.

My anime journey started with the platform Netflix, the days when it was actually the best and only decent streaming service. My farthest memory of anime was watching a single episode of Bakugan when I was about 5 but overall cartoons, in general, didn't really catch my attention.

But by age 7 while browsing through Netflix I discovered and committed to my first anime series, Beyblade (Metal Fusion, Fury, and Masters - not the original series) and after that Pokemon (mainly Indigo then Black & White).

At the time I didn't even know of such a thing called anime but I was captivated by the unique style and personalities of the medium which drew me to watch my first big boy anime, Sword Art Online. And oh boy was that a life-changing experience.

At the first sight of the show, I ran away from clicking the play button due to its different style from the first two anime in my life. But then I eventually looked for more shows to watch after I finished the first two and that started the journey. Watching it was a breath of new air. Badass Kirito with his dual-wield swords made my little pp shake with joy as Kirito claimed a bunch of waifus and waved his sword around in a game other than Minecraft. I thought to myself "damn this kid was cool! He dressed all black, saving all the girls, hooking up with them, and being op asf!" Oh past me, what a dumbass when it came to anime taste. Essentially, Kirito was Jesus reincarnated and worshipped his greatness as I explored the 2D plains of anime.

My journey took me to next watch Naruto - and that was also very good, especially the first Naruto vs. Sasuke - pretty sure I got my first nut when I watched that first Rasengan and Chidori clash. But alas when I eventually finished Naruto my dad cancelled our Netflix plan so I was stuck without anime for a year.

But not to worry as after a year we got it back! I was back on the grind and onto the next series, Death Note! The series expanded my brain cells to their maximum making me very smart and observant in school.

In the meantime, I kept watching Naruto but would then move onto my next show, One Punch Man. Liked the bald dude and the comedy without noticing the god-tier animation of such fights but it brought back the love of shonen action that I got from Naruto in my young brain the comedy was great as the action was what complimented it but when I grew up I learned it was the other way around.

After that was Full Metal Alchemist (Brotherhood, I realized the original wasn't fully canon). It was more detailed and slow than any other anime I watched but I didn't appreciate it as much as I learned from Death Note.

Next was Fate, which I got bored of as this time the main character wasn't an edgelord who wore black and had swords but was a guy who was old, didn't play games, and instead used guns instead of swords. And the person who did use swords was a blond girl who was named Saber. Like wtf who names a character a sword? It's not like I actually stopped because my Christian instincts reacted to Caster and his master murdering a bunch of people gruesomely. I skipped to Unlimited Bladeworks where everything was much better because they didn't talk when they fought so that was good. I also like how they actually spoke English for once when they talked about Unlimited Blade Works. Talking about swords having bones in their deep sexy voices.

Then it was Seven Deadly Sins which would grow to be the most boring show out of the ones I watched only behind SAO which I began to see kinda sucked. Meliodas was good tho, though rage modes, demon powers, and groping women are all the things a good Christian like me should hate and I didn't. The sinning spree continued as I arrived at the end of my journey with Attack on Titan which took me on my hated nightmare, a rollercoaster. But I liked it because it had naked titans who walked funny and punched each other very hard entertaining me very effectively. Blood and guts wouldn't scar a big boy like me anymore as I had the power of Kirito and God on my side! Netflix subscription was forever dropped as capitalism made it too expensive resulting in a complete lack of anime for another year. My attachment only persisted as I awaited the second coming of Lord Kirito in a new SAO season 3.

Thankfully when I was 12 I finally got my first laptop and not only did I play more Roblox I watched a show called Food Wars which showed up when I got bored and searched up the top anime airing at the time. And that was my full exposure to culture. Those foodgasm scenes opened up the gates for the hormones to start flowing. My tongue opened as the droll went down my neck as I looked at that delicious food and the thick "plot" of the story. My first love, Erina Nakiri had appeared as her rivalry with the loveable Soma Yukihira entertained me as these guys made Gordon Ramsay look like a fake. And the moment which secured my adolescence being filled with anime was when I was recommended Mob Psycho.

My Based Anime 9x9

Though it's mostly vanilla I can present these anime as ones that have defined my taste and set the standard for those I choose to watch and enjoy.

From left to right we have;
Naruto, Oregairu, Gintama, A Silent Voice, Mob Psycho 100, Re:Zero, Death Note, Attack on Titan, and Code Geass

What is there to say? Well Silent Voice and Oregairu makes you cry. Gintama also makes you cry of both the laughing and emotional variety. Death Note set the bar for what it means to set up a good mystery, suspense, and character-driven plot which Attack on Titan followed. Code Geass is great, and Naruto is one of my first anime and a source of childhood memories that spawned my love for Shonen.

Then there's Mob Psycho and Re:Zero. Shows that their respective protagonist helped develop into two shows that spoke to my life and its circumstances. I adore their characters, the animation, and how it showed the very best anime has to offer.

Vanilla yes but also based. And is always subject to change.

The Manga Reader 9x9

I will always be a weeb but sometimes to get things done you must become one of them, a manga reader. Within the short list of manga I've read these are the ones that seem to make the phrase "the manga was better" actually viable.

From left to right we have:
Slam Dunk, Vagabond, Oyasumi Punpun, Kingdom, 20th Century Boys, Great Teacher Onizuka, Solo Leveling, Quintessential Quintuplets, and Rent-A-Girlfriend

The first 8 are fine; the last was something I put in because I had no choice, but I will admit that it has effected me, but mostly in a negative way, especially the panel displayed.

I will say that the rest of the 8 are extraordinary. They transcend the very pages they were written on to become something much more. Slam Dunk, Vagabond, Kingdom, GTO, and Oyasumi Punpun are all seinen classics that have defined manga and absolutely took my breath away when reading.

Quints gave me PTSD, 20th Century Boys is my favourite music manga, and Solo Leveling is simple yet entertaining.

The 9 Stinkiest Anime that my eyes have ever seen

Ok, I'll speedrun this so that this doesn't cause a lot of painful flashbacks that'll destroy any remaining functioning brain cells after remembering all this trash.

Seven Deadly Sins S3: Poison to the eyes and ears
Domestic Girlfriend: Oh, that's hot, too hot
Eromanga Sensei: #1 reason people are arrested and start drugs.
Yosuga no Sora: I now have cancer, aids, PTSD, heart failure, pneumonia, malaria, and hepatitis, all in one.
SAO is the first anime I've ever watched. It affected my 7-year-old brain to think that it was the best thing ever. "Kirito is so cool!" I always thought so, but I grew to see what it truly was. How can a guy who is a literal vegetable get more girls than most people who watch it? Asuna is a boring waifu; why do people like her? Why...
Mirai Nikki is one of the worst shows I've watched.
Kiss x Sis - O_O
Oreimo, Alabama's favorite show
School Days - #1 cause of mental disorder
Promised Neverland S2—I'm pretty sure I made something similar for a school project.
