See, that's kind of funny. In my country they didn't show it in theaters so as soon as I found out that it was the final two episodes of season two and the first of season three I simply decided to watch them in that order. I guess that count xd

So, yeah about AGK.
Dude, I didn’t even understood which anime you’re talking about at first glance. Then, I googled it. And got Akame ga kill.
Watched it long ago, so I can’t recall most of the story. Forgot the most of it (>.<)
Animation was quite good tho. All I can recall that, I personally admired Esdeath's love, as she gave her life with her love. She gave us some fanservice, too 😁 But maybe a spin-off could have been better, I guess. And another thing I'm remembering is how "Sheele" died. Sheele and Mine's friendship was eye catching, as I noticed they were best friends (i guess).
Fights was good, but not that much of intense (not all of them).
Character development was fine from my perspective. All the main cast got their showtime. Leone's death might have been avoidable, but she didn’t revealed that she was critically injured. I was sad for it though.
Ending wasn’t an identical happy one. But Last fight - specially Esdeath vs Akame was a blast!
I liked the anime very much, but It didn’t appeared to me as a masterpiece. But one of my favorite anime show of that concept.

I assume you didn't really liked Maquia then, well thats okay. Everyone have different opinion and taste anyway. I think the creator of Maquia didn't put any random things there for no reason, in my opinion it was to supported the worldbuilding aspect that layered in the storytelling.


For 86 tho, I liked it because it was a character drama story that has some political element in it. I'm pretty much a bit of sucker for drama genre that is done really well and I thought 86 was one of them. The reason why the kids fight the robots is because it serves for the story's narrative mainly about the racism, so yeah it wasn't because for no reason.

i really liked maquia hence why its in one of my favorites. I think one of the strongest selling point in maquia was the worldbuilding and its storytelling. If you liked some deep and nuance story about immortality and familial bond, I pretty much recommend to watch it :)
