Speaking about shoujo genre, after checking out our anime affinity, I saw you were also familiar with Chihayafuru. It's such a wonderful series. I hope it will receive its next season one day. I didn't know anything about karuta before checking out Chihayafuru, but this series is so well done that it was not a problem at all. While I don't care much about karuta, even after learning about its existence, Chihayafuru - an anime mostly about karuta - is one of shows I can watch with pleasure. Well, it's the only one I know that'd have karuta card game treated as an important element of its plot, haha.

Yes, it was refreshing to see that kind of setting in an anime. Another cool thing I really liked while watching Golden Time were characters and the way they interacted. It was done very well, believable and realistic. It wasn't hard to imagine regular university students, or young adults in general, acting like that.

Like I said before, it's always nice to see another person who can see the value of School Days, and to look at it from a neutral point of view (which means not being overly negative about the show, only because it is not a sugarcoated story full of fluffiness, lol).
