Hmm, I'd say that if you are a person that enjoy the process of making stuff, the 'behind the scenes', and well, have a interest in how a manga is made, It's definelly worth a watch! You don't even have to worry. Yeah, it can be long or slow sometimes, but It's really well made and even though it's a fictional story, you can see the parallels with the authors of Death Note and what they went through to have their story known in the industry. It's a piece that not only has a great and interesting story, has a great degree of teaching on top of it, and that's something I value a lot. They manage to make de simple act of someone sitting all day 24/7 drawing teir own world, interesting and engaging.
Buut, if you are not someone that cares too much about the inbetweens of the japanese entretainment industry, the anime/manga can be 'boring' in a substancial amount of moments for someone that don't has much interest in the theme, even though it's really well made, it doesn't aim big or world domination, it aims to be great on it's niche, and for that, they excell.
So you can still enjoy it wither way.
