If you're looking for an 'iyashikei' (healing) anime, this is definitely a good choice - no drama, all fun, and you feel refreshed once watching it.
The Story - As the show is a slice of life anime, the episodes aren't very story driven; episodes don't lead on from one to another, meaning there's a fresh new story each time you watch. The magic element really sets this show apart though - there's no war going on, the protagonist isn't on some long-winded quest or anything. Instead, it's about a young girl and her training as a witch. Simple, but it works.
The Art - Watching

the show has a sort of calming effect; there's no flashy colours or effects. You're instead given a beautifully gentle looking show that really matches the anime's atmosphere.
The Sound - The OP and ED are both cute and match the tone of the show pretty well, much like the background music. Whilst the tracks aren't memorable, they add to the calming effect of the show, and help to immerse you into Makoto's world.
The Characters - Every single character has their own unique charms and quirks. Makoto's kind yet eccentric personality, Chinatsu's random one liners, and even Kei's subdued personality really make the show what it is. Akane will always keep you coming back as well.
Enjoyment - Flying Witch was one of those shows that I underestimated; I didn't really pay that much attention when I watched the first few episodes, but when I restarted it, I realised when a gem it was. Funny, calming, and a show that I think anyone could enjoy.
Overall, Flying Witch gets an 8/10. A charming show, with it's characters being the backbone to it's charm. I'd recommend this show to anyone; anime fan or not.

Goddamn son... Poor Saki
If you're coming into this thinking its just another hentai series, oh boy are you wrong
The Story - Drugs, drink, sex, and the downwards spiral from there; in short - Saki good time's turn bad
The Art - Shindol is still Shindol - you either love their art or you hate it (and I just can't get enough of it)
The Characters - By the end of it, you'l wish this manga never existed just so Saki wouldn't have to go through all of... that. Saki is truly a likable character, and you genuinely feel for her in every chapter

Overall, its a great tragedy that you'll hate yourself for reading but at the same time,you keep reading, just to see if Saki can find some sort of hope

A full seven years was dedicated to making Redline, and boy did all that time pay off. At first, I was put off at the idea of watching Redline; I have no interest in cars or racing, and I thought it would just be some average action anime, that got you pumped up when watching it, but would also be easily forgotten. I am so glad that I gave it a chance.

don't have to think too hard - its easy to watch. However, there are several other minor plot lines that appear alongside the main narrative (which I won't go into detail with, as I wouldn't want to spoil anything). The reason why i describe them as minor, is due to the fact that I feel they were overshadowed by certain aspects of the film, and that they didn't really add much more to it as a whole; they certainly didn't take anything away from the experience, but they didn't make it any better either.
The Art - The dedication, perseverance, and pure talent are shown during every frame of animation. The colour palette brings the show to life, the animation is fluid, and the detail is immense. During no scene is a character just stood up straight or motionless - they are always in some sort of different position, and they are constantly moving, whether it be just their face or their whole body. The character designs are beautiful, the settings are all entirely different from each other, the way each car is designed is truly outstanding, and the attention to detail on each species on each planet is truly staggering. The art style alone is what really motivated me to watch Redline.
The Sound - As for whether you watch the film subbed or dubbed, it really doesn't matter; I watched both versions and found that I enjoyed both equally, which is rare as I normally prefer watching shows in their original Japanese dub. The music for the show is absolutely one of the best parts - the OST has 42 tracks (yeah, you read right) and each one is eaasily distinguishable from the next. They all bring to the proper emotions to their corresponding scenes, whether it be making you empathize with the character on screen, or to get you fired up for the race.
The Characters - The main two characters JP and Sonoshee, are so charming and are a pleasure to watch. JP is cool and collected, whilst also being extremely hot headed and uncontrollable (and his pompadour is the most majestic hairstyle I have ever seen). Sonoshee is a charming woman, who has both looks and personality that will seduce you immediately. The development of these two character's relationship was something that I really enjoyed seeing unfold, and I always cheered on for them when watching them race. However, I felt like some of the other characters (like Frisbee for example) could have been shown off a little more, as I'd like to know more about them, but there is a limit to how long you can make a film, and how much you can cram into it before it gets messy, so this can definitely be forgiven.
Enjoyment - Redline is honestly one of the most enjoyable films that I have seen in a long time, and I'd go as far as saying that it's up in my top 10 favourite films ever. You laugh, you cry, you get fired up along with JP and Sonoshee, and you forget that you're watching a film at times due to how truly immersive the film is.
Overall, I'd recommend Redline to absolutely anyone. Even if you don't like racing or anime based around cars (or you have no interest in cars at all!), I'd say to anyone to at least give it a chance, as I'm sure that you'll find something you like about it, and hopefully, you'll love it as much as I do.

I watched Ouran Highschool Host Club absolutely ages ago - I probably watched it during the year when I first started to realize what anime was, and when I first started to get into it. I adored the show when I first saw it, and every time I come back to it, I love it a little more.
The Story - The overall plot line of the show isn't anything groundbreaking or amazing, nor is it something that's overused and dull; it's a pretty decent story with no major flaws at all, but rather one that has charm and keeps you hooked without being to

heavy. In other words, it's easy to watch without making the viewer feel babied or stupid.
The Art - I personally loved the art style; its bright but not gaudy, each character is distinguishable from the next, and it really gives the show its aforementioned charm. The animation flows and from a show made over 10 years ago, it still looks pretty darn great now and will hopefully stand the test of time.
The Sound - The opening is catchy and every time I hear it, it brings back the memories of watching the show and forces a great big smile across my face. The ending was okay, but nothing particularly memorable, and I can't really remember much of the background music/the rest of the OST to be honest - I feel like it wasn't very memorable anyway.
The Characters - I won't delve too deep into the characters, as I feel that they are the things that make the show what it is, and I wouldn't want to ruin the experience for anyone who hasn't seen it. Each character is different from the next and has entirely different quirks and (I feel like I'm using this word a lot) charms. There is also a lot of character development - obviously some characters get more screen time than others do, but none are left out, and they all are shown to develop their relationships with each other. The characters truly make or break a show for me (probably for most people as well), and the cast were definitely my favourite part.
Enjoyment - Every time I rewatch OHSHC, I fall in love with it a little more; I feel closer to the characters, I laugh harder at all the silly little jokes, and it takes up a bigger spot in my heart each time. It's easy to watch and you have so much fun as you watch it, you feel invested in the characters and want to see how their relationships develop further, and you'll find yourself smiling after each episode.
Overall, I give Ouran Highschool Host Club an 8 out of 10. It's certainly not the best show ever, nor is it groundbreaking but, I had such a good time watching it, I loved seeing the characters and their relationships grow, and I fell in love with the show. It holds a special place in my heart, and I hope that you'll give it a shot.

Franken Fran is honestly one of my all time favourite series, and I am not ashamed to admit tearing up a little when it ended. It's such a unique manga that sticks out from the crowd, partly due to it's absolutely insane premise, but also because of the sheer joy it gave me.
The Story - Each chapter gives you a fresh new story line meaning that it never gets stagnant or feels repetitive. Obviously there will be some chapters that are weaker than others, but I never disliked one or felt bored reading it; I always wanted to keep going!
The Art - The art is

very refreshing and fits with the story; gruesome in places, detailed and intricate through out, and not afraid to hold back. The gore was also very well illustrated, so if you don't like that kind if thing, I reccomend you to back away from this series.
The Characters - I can genuinely say that I liked pretty much every character in this manga, even if they were the 'bad guy'. All are shown to have flaws, all are shown to have strengths, and Fran is just so perfect in every way - she holds everything together perfectly.
Enjoyment - My personal enjoyment was 10/10. Every moment kept me reading on, I never once got bored, and I will definitely read again in the future. The dark humour kept me laughing, Fran kept my emotions running, and I was thoroughly gripped right to the very end.
Overall, this is an almost perfect manga for me. I wish that some of the characters had got a little more 'screentime' (I won't name anyone, out of possible fears of spoilers) but apart from that, I loved it.
I would recommend Franken Fran to anyone who enjoys dark humour, horror and gore elements, and to fans on Junji Ito's work (as I found myself thinking about some of his works whilst reading this). However, anyone who doesn't like gore, I suggest you stay away... far away
