Studio DEEN has always been one of the most criticized animation studios for being too inconsistent. Sometimes they make awful adaptations with pitiful animation quality and other times they just produce brilliant and cared series like this.

Imagine that suddenly world turns around and a huge percentage of men simply die due to a pandemic disease. Women now has the power and young men became a valuable treasure due to their capacity to procreate with so many women. Even being prostituted and sold for a lot of money. And everything setted in Edo period. That's what Oooku is about.

One of the things that impressed ... me the most was how the author wasn't afraid of anything. She didn't care of any kind of controversy, she felt just free enough to draw the story she wanted without avoiding any kind of subject. Prostitution, LGTB issues, empowerment of women... Oooku is such a well-written and complete work that cover whatever you can think of.

When it comes to animation quality and sound, I have to congratulate Studio DEEN again for this. Obviously, this isn't a crazy visual spectacle like Ufotable or KyoAni shows, but the dedication that animators put on this series is clear. And the OST suits it pretty well.

To sum up, this is such an interesting and dramatic story that could get anyone easily addicted to it. Especially for those interested in historic series. It has been an amazing surprise. I really hope to see more seasons coming soon.

FINALLY we've been blessed with these two films. For those who were waiting for this arc to have it's reboot, the wait has been, like their tittle, eternal. But I'm glad I'm here now to give my opinion about them after all these years.

One of the things I'm not very happy about them is that I'm still not convinced that the movie format was the best for it. Specially in the first film, you can clearly see that episodic style and how the original manga chapters were made. Even though I've read the manga I believe everyone could notice that. If they would have ... made a 8-9 episode series it could have been better. But who knows.

Anyway, I also don't agree about the animation quality. The problem isn't that the production doesn't seem to be made during 5 long years, but I'd directly said it has too many flaws to be a film. Normally anime films are more detailed and cared.

But, of course, I'm not saying these two are bad films. As always in Sailor Moon, we've got a very emotional and bittersweet story with lots of action, love, and superpowers. And it's a really pleasure to finally see a Sailor Saturn's transformation sequence. If you are a Moonie, you'll obviously enjoy this so much.

How can such a "basic" show could be so popular? Looking at the rates of similar series, how can this stand above them all? The answer is easy: Because it does nothing wrong.

The idea is simple: Kaede, a normal girl who hadn't played RPG in her life, begins playing a virtual game due a recommendation of her best friend. As she didn't know how to play correctly, she just became a shielder and maxed out her defense, without improving anything else. Even if this sounds pretty difficult, she just does whatever she wants and takes advantange of that.

FINALLY we have a fun and ... interesting anime focused on the events, worldbuilding, character development and how enjoyable could a MMORPG be. You don't have a complex history, you don't have awful fanservice scenes, you don't have boring drama... You just have a good show about playing games!

If you are usually disappointed with this kind of works, I really recommend you to give it a chance!

I have to say the slice of life/romance theme is not my usualy cup of tea, but Hiatari Ryoukou was a pretty enjoyable trip. It had got their good and bad moments, but overall was an interesting show to watch.

Nevertheless, I can't say the same thing about the film. Starting by the fact that it was completely innecessary as the TV series' end was quite satisfactory, it didn't even add anything really important or relevant.

In fact, sometimes was more confusing than enjoyable. Sometimes I thought that it would have been more entertaining to sleep for 10 hours than the hour I spent with ... this.

I've given it a 5 because I don't want to fail it, but it's not worth to watch. Just keep in your mind the end of the series and it's more than enough.

This manga is clearly one of those examples where an awesome art could make everything seems better, and I'll tell you why.

If you think about the story, the premise is quite interesting. An apocalyptic world where all the people have to survive from evil living beings who try to devour them. Their origin is unknown and one day an strange girl stronger than them appears. What's happening?

I've always been a great fan of suspense stories and this inmediately caught my attention. Nevertheless, there was a problem: this manga wasn't addictive. This could sound as something very "personal", and yeah, it is, but I ... can imagine anyone finishing a volume and desesperating feeling like starting the next.

However, as I said in the beginning, the art of this manga is fucking fantastic. There was a point when I was more focused enjoying every single detail in the character desing and the battle scenes than in the proper story.

Anyway, if anyone asks me if I'd recommend or not this manga, I'd say it has an entertainning story and one of the best arts I've ever seen.

I think the tag "horror" should be changed to "horrible" when it comes to this show.

Happy Sugar Life presents us the story of a high school called Satou. This girl is the classical perfect one: beautiful, decisive, kind, and actually intelligent. Nevertheless, just like everyone in this world, she has a defect: a lot of personality problems. Due to the emptiness she felt, Satou despairly searched for the true meaning of 'love' through a the perfect sweet life with a little called Shio.

Just with the start, you can see everything here is going wrong. You haven't started watching the show, and it's easy ... to become aware of the awful situation of that.

Something you should know when you are going to watch this, is that you won't like any one of the characters. It reaches the moment that anything that happens to any of them doesn't matter at all. Some dies? Ok, goodbye. That's all on your mind. They don't really mind.

Whenever the story continues, a lot of different awful people appears with their own problems. As I said, they are totally disgusting and you won't like them.

Now, it's time to talk about the artistic side of this anime. Despite the good tracks you will find in the show, I can't say the same with the animation quality. It's not the worst I've watched, but it's so far to be the best.

This series is fulfilled with a lot of immorality, depravity, ignominy, and the constant: I feel bad for myself, so I can do anything I want to become happy. That's a thought I absolutely can't stand.

After all the negative aspects of this I've said, why is my score a 5 and not a 1? Well, that's simple. At least, I can say this is 'enjoyable' and, sometimes, has some interesting themes to debate and learn. You can learn the consequences of acting on your own and the hidden cruelty in so many people.

If are interested on this, you can give a try, but I recommend you to go to anything else unless you are willing to waste your time.

Why, Okamoto Lynn? Why? Why are you hurting your fans that much?

Okamoto Lynn is well-known for his most famous manga, Elfen Lied, but I started loving him when I read his true masterpiece, Brynhildr in the darkness. I wasn't hoping a new masterpiece when I started to read this, but I believe he would have done something interesting. Obviously, I was completely wrong.

The begin of the story wasn't bad at all. We've got Youta, an average highschool student who's in love with his beautiful classmate. But one they, we was send to another world (an isekai, you know) by a mysterious creepy girl. A ... world with only girls, monsters, dragons and Kalls, strange living beings who has some similarities with men. The problem came when our MC-kun discovered he can save girls mating them. Really, Okamoto? Really?

This is an example of "we're going to have some good ideas and make them become into a only-sex manga, chapter by chapter".

Probably we have yet a lot of story to read, but what we have now is... awful.

Well, everyone, we have something brilliant here. Heroic Age has the combination to make a good show: great story, lovely characters and amazing ost.

First of all, you have to know this is not a funny or a super entertainment show, but a gorgeous one. The main purpose of this anime is simple: To tell a story.

The creators made something amazing: a completely new universe. A universe where people is different. I'm not talking about physical diferences, but mental ones. The Silvers, the ones who are always connected, who shares every moment their opinions, their experiences, their feelings. They have a different lifestyle against ... the humans, who are individual people. The contrast is wonderful.

But leaving that, we have to focus on the story: Some tribes that have the same aim: to obtain the Golden Tribe power. There's only one thing that makes the difference, the Nodos. Maybe this story seems to be quite simple, but the complexity and the message arrive little by little.

This show has only two things I disliked: The animation, whose quality is so poor, and the process, which is sometimes a little bit bored.
To be honest, Heroic Age is not the best anime ever, but it has one of the beautifulest stories I have ever watched, with great issues and characters.
