So let's start. This has easily been one of the most frustrating and irritating manga I have ever read. Simply because of the inability of the MC to take any action or deal with it other than relying on other people's help or crying. Wow, I have been reading manga for 8 years and no manga has shaken me to this extent other than Gantz. I have read the original novel, Osamu Dazai's novel was great but this adaptation is tremendous and earth shattering and never have I felt the wish that I had never picked up a series that I felt with this series. Megalo Box is a 50th-year-anniversary rehash of the very popular (and a personal favorite of mine )Ashita No Joe. The anime's art was gorgeous, lending a bit of authenticity to a long-gone era of hand-drawn animation which is scarcely seen in recent animes. The soundtrack written in collaboration with a Hip-hop artist was pretty good but can't be compared to that of Devilman Crybaby and Samurai Champloo. Watched this cuz of Watanabe and tbh the sound blew me away. This man is a genius when it comes to picking the sounds he wants to go with this shows.
