Watching anime is pretty much something I have enjoyed doing for over 2 decades now. If I trace it back, my fascination probably started back late 1980s or early 1990s when I was like 4 or 5 years old with shows like Voltes V, Voltron, Transformers, Shaider, Maskman, Bioman, as well as cartoons like Ghostbuster, Denver, Care Bears and GI Joe. As years pass, I eventually learn to differentiate the difference of that of the Japanese and the American animations by simple looking at the intro and ending songs which features a kind of symbols/characters different from the English Alphabet that I'm so familiar with and say "Oh! It's Japanese," and later discovered how the Japanese animations (The term anime is not yet in existence at those times) has intricate story details that I found lacking on shows that I see as American made, hence I started getting really hooked to them.
As I enter primary education, Tagalog-dub animes became my staple in the 9-11am and 3-5pm time-slots of major TV broadcasters. Using our own language instead of having English ones I believe was a very good choice because it reaches a broader audience which includes kids my age that time and also younger teens.
The late 1990s came and I consider it the Golden age of Anime in my country. It was the days when they started and differentiate Japanese animations as "anime." There is even a TV Station that has its prime-time (7-9pm) almost only anime shows. Of course it is a short live one, eventually anime goes back again in its usual morning and afternoon time slots. Years later almost all anime are gone with the only series being introduce in the country being only shounen animes and re-runs/replays of previously showed series.
And now as we reached the year 2010 ~ From time to time, there is a revival of anime in my country thanks to some TV stations with not enough local programs and uses anime instead to fill up their broadcast airtime. I barely watches anime in local TV myself but my siblings, especially the youngest benefits from it the most.
The lack of anime doesn't stop me from being a fan though, the wonders of the internet had helped me explored an unimaginable large resource of anime, some which I never thought even existed.
I don't have a particular genre of preference, my viewing habit always starts from watching a first episode of a particular show and if I found it entertaining I usually go on and complete it.
Other anime related stuff I'm interested into: listening to anime sound tracks and VOCALOID related music, reading manga, blogs, and articles, attending conventions, and collecting Gunpla model kits

My anime list is a collection of almost all the anime I have ever watched, so it includes anime way back when I was still a child. The most recent shows that I have watched are listed fairly accurately, it's not quite for the shows I have watched in the past - by which a fair amount is on the "Dropped List" mostly due to broadcast cancellation or discontinuation by local channels, and or the show's broadcast time conflicting with my school schedule. As for the old shows I have already forgotten, I immediately add those to my list as soon as I remember them or have encounter them somewhere here on MAL.
My manga list still needs a lot of workings and are very inaccurate at the moment, example is "Naruto" I didn't really read the manga chapters before the 4-year time skip. Also I haven't yet added majority of the manga(s) I ever read (mostly H-manga anyways).
well lucky cause even after 10+ years they're still working w/ their respective companies, PRII i think is established in 1999 or 1998 and my brother got employed back in 2000, as for my second brother, he took his OJT, a half a year contract on Amkor, and he basically got absorbed after that
well both my brothers are BS Industrial Technology Major in Electronics graduates. they're very lucky w/ their companies. my second brother works at Amkor, in Laguna.
nope. not rich, my brother is just capable of spending his money well.
He's currently a production shift manager at PRII in mariveles, bataan, w/ a salary of about 50-60k a month i think, my father is already retired, just working w/ a little of a borrowed land in the back of our house, planting vegetables, etc., my mother is just working in the house and my second big brother already have his own family in Batangas, so basically my eldest brother is the only one supporting us, everything is a result of proper investment and hard work, and i'm studying w/ the support of scholarship so minus the expenses
Core i7
4GB Ram(actually 8GB but it only works on 64bit OS and we're only using 32bit)
4 1Terabyte HDD, 1 2Terabyte HDD and 1 250GB HDD for internal HDDs
4 1Terabyte Western Digital HDDs for external HDDs
GeForce GTX 550 Ti ASUS Sabertooth P67 for the board
Thermaltake 875 Watts power supply Antec DF-85 casing w/c is worth 10k i thinks
Samsung SyncMaster 2253LW monitor
and Logitech keyboard and mouse
it basically is a multimedia/gaming behemoth that will last for a lot of years
aside from the monitor, keyboard and mouse w/c we salvage from our former desktop setup, it basically costs 60k+ w/c is definitely worth the investment
we kinda revamped our display cabinet for now, not its final form though, haven't add the lightings and other figures still, other gundams and dioramas are on the third cabinet on the right XD
oh, and i'll just leave it here, some of our collections' photos 1 2 3 4 5
no, definitely not 22-23 inch maybe less 40 but out of those range
well, you could have said LED TV instead of LCD, they're very much categorized as of now
and LED TVs are definitely a lot more inexpensive cause of the used technology and resources
and we certainly have no problems w/ Samsung, we've been using Samsung 21" LCD monitor (1680 x 1050) since i'm in highschool (incoming 5th year college) up until now even though we already upgraded our CPU components and processor to i7.
Hyouka ep.2 is just splendid, OP is so great, ED song is too but i don't like the sequence
Hyouka is turning to be one of the highlights of the season for me along w/ Fate/zero, Sakamichi no Apollon, Eureka Seven AO, & Lupin III
and Hyouka's OST is just amazing
