Sure, I'll concede my argument was an over exaggeration, but I don't believe the claim is false. What I meant was her change wasn't due to her critical thinking or awareness, it was people telling her what to do or what she should do- besides of course the ending. Throwing out the soul gem was only because her mother told her she had to play dirty a minute earlier, and she did it without a second thought.

Cooperating with Kyoko was entirely instigated by Kyoko herself. Madoka merely accepted since that was really the only option; and either way that's been the case for every previous witch fight- she didn't do anything better or learned from it, just stood in the back and hopelessly shouted for a 'miracle'. Let alone she let Kyoko die as well. She could've told her this wasn't her fault and possibly saved her life.

Her big sacrifice in the end literally destroyed the universe and made a new one. If you consider what she asked for, this was pure dues ex machina luck. If you want me to be nitpicky- she could've just asked for a world without evil. She could've asked for her friends and family to never experience sorrow and misfortune. She became a GOD, an omnipotent being, instead of a self-proclaimed under-average individual. That's no sacrifice. That's entirely due to Homura's insanity in attempting to alter an unchangeable fate over and over instead of accepting reality. She became an actual god because of someone else's efforts, she did nothing but be kind to a transfer student.

Most, if not all magical-girls (according to the show itself), are girls who were taken advantage of in their weakest state- none of them *chose* their wish, they were backed into a corner physically or mentally. Madoka and Sayaka are the exceptions, which as I mentioned, is absurd by itself. Madoka for the entirety of the show had the choice to leave them behind or join them- they cover this premise multiple times- "don't tell me what to do until you've walked in my shoes [been a magic-girl]". Madoka refused to choose until they were all virtually dead. Her final decision is whatever, but the time it took her to decided being provided everything she could possibly need to come to a decision is just dumb.

It's too bad, that F/Z analysis is my favourite of all my uploads up til now because of my passion for the show but it's gotten by far the least amount of views. Because it has subliminal messages in it: asuka is boisterous, runs away from home, tries to be an adult, dishonest, and emotionally reserved and everyone is nice to her about it, asuka arguably has a friend when it is said that she is lonely. The angels and mpes torture her. It tries too hard to be emotional! A bit too complex. Like what's the deal with Asuka's dead mother's soul in the Eva just so that Asuka can get all happy for instance?

Asuka is way too popular in her school! Asuka is too hard to understand in her way of expressing emotions. I don't understand why Asuka is crying, I think she needs to stop crying! Hikari is too annoying. Rei is boring.

I hate that picture with Asuka on the computer! Evangelion sucks!

Oh don't get me wrong. I agree that Evangelion is definitely a great animu, but it's just that the ending really got me and endings are pretty important to me. If I really enjoyed a series, it's better off I enjoy it all the way. And if I was just confused after it finished, I think like "I watched 10 hours worth of episodes for that"? And it just really turns me off and puts me in a bad mood and I end up giving it a bad rating, lol. Nothing personal really. :|

Well tbh I kinda liked the romance in it. So far, I don't even know much or at least remember any couple that are as lovey dovey as Jesus and Asuna. Yeah, her and Jun Maeda are my favorite composers. She makes great battle and emotional and Jun purely on the emotional ones. I should get started with one of the Kara no Kyoukai movies sometime.I noticed there's a heck ton of them after seeing her page just now.

Heh, so that explains why you don't have many Slice of Life shows on your list. Kinda make sense though. It makes you feel like you're watching something girly or if not, perverted since a lot of guys are just into that stuff, excluding me of course. But what are the chances of you watching something that's considered good by many but is a moe slice of life comedy anime though?
Ikr, I hate how people just diss muh favorite show and end up citing something that's from an entirely different genre. Particularly, that certain animu. Also heh, sick reference. Keion is the improvement on the tea department on LOGH's part. And everything else about it. Kinda feel honored that someone who detests moe like you could actually say that. :^)

That sounds rather like a downgrade, lol. But watchu sayin, I kinda liked the character design. Despite the overly weird hairdos and all. It feels pretty clean if that makes any sense. Yeah I get the message and that's definitely one of the better parts of the ending. But the way they just let the characters whine and say as if they're not doing anything wrong just irks me really much. But I may be biased because I just really hate the vampires because of the same shitty excuse they give on taking their old family and friends' lives. And yeah, 20.5! They at least did a great job on a few people's perspective on the purging on that ep. Some still hesitate, some uses it as an excuse to personally kill the people they hated while they were alive. Plus Nao had much more background, so of course the way her death works on the viewers is actually pretty effective. The soundtrack always reminds me of Higurashi.

Yeah I'm not! I'm just not interested on watching people play some dumb physical game. I'd rather be watching some 2D people.

Yeah, it has been a long time..I've been doing fine too, winter break just ended , I have finals in about 2 months and then I'll go into college after summer break...I only watch anime in my vacations , other than that , I don't watch anime...

Now that I think about it, kinda make sense. But IMO, she's still an important character of the series since the turn of events started focusing more on saving her later in the series. So I think it should be fair for her to still count as a main character. Besides, there are tons of cases in anime where main characters barely has any screen time, but they are a huge part of the main storyline, so their roles are sort of maintained. Think Kamina from TTGL, Sunako from Shiki, or even muh waifu and Ryunosuke from Sakurasou. Or at least that's what I think main characters are supposed to be or something like that.
And sorry about that End of Evangelion part. I really have no idea what was going on in the movie, lol. I mean, the original Eva series was great until the confusing ending and I think the movie made me even more confused. :/

Anyway I thought SAO was pretty enjoyable on the first half and I just want to pretend it's just a 1 cour anime. The soundtrack is incredible though, as expected from the same person in charge of the Meduka OST.

Nah it's not about the episodic thing they have going on in the series. It's that I'm not really used to watching old animu from back then when I first started it and I only watched like, 100-120 shows. So I was just focused on the artstyle I'm not familiar with to actually focus or enjoy the stories. But now I'm fairly experienced, I think I'll give it one more shot. Btw, certain shows on my dropped list are just for pissing of elitists. Not that I have anything against the shows just so you know. :p

Lol oh boy. At first, it was a solid mystery animu. But then the ending happened and it feels like such a waste. I mean, it's really slow paced. But at least the reveals are still pretty decent. But the last episodes were just mindless violence and they were mostly predictable. The show kinda tries to make you sympathize for the little zombies terrorizing the village but it just didn't work. And it's because almost none of the characters IMO are likable or interesting. The Doctor is obviously a fan favorite since he's fucking hardcore but he can't save the series all by himself. Plus, their claims of "oh noes don't kill me you monsters, I'm just killing for instinct!". Yeah, as if killing them doesn't count as human survival instinct and just feed themselves to them like cattle. The only undead I actually felt sorry for was Nao and maybe Tohru and that nurse since she (Nao) kinda shows that she didn't really ask to be resurrected only to suffer (much like the other 2 I mentioned) and I like how they made her suffer and she ended up killing the people closest to her. Unlike the other undead, those three also feels like they're somewhat still human and that's how their death kinda works at making the audience feel bad for them. But long story short, ending sucks, characters are comparable to a wet towel, pacing issues, weird-ass hair trends. I could have rated it lower but the artstyle is pretty great and the creepy soundtracks are killer. Also to impress the guy who recommended it to me. He rated Keion really high so it makes me feel kinda bad if I gave his favorite animay anything lower and he might take his score back. :/

Oh in that case, I must have misread whatever you said last time when we were talking about it. But as for Steins;Gate, the movie feels rather lacking compared to the original series at least. I might be biased but aside from Keion and Haruhi, I never actually enjoy anime sequel movies much. They always feel like they're forced stories the company in charge can make a good cash out of. Although the movie is actually decent at least.

The comedy is pretty good and the action scenes definitely hype you up, but they're so predictable tbh. The popularity is definitely due to it being shounen and it's pretty decent. If something's shounen and it's at least decent, you can always bet your ass it'll catch the public's attention. The same as SAO and AOT. But yeah, it has ridiculously big score due to the fanboys but I'm predicting it'll be at least 8.8. I mean let's be honest, it's not that good. And speaking of Bebop, I need to restart it or something. I watched it a while back when I was sick and I guess that made me not enjoy the episodic stuff it has since I can't pay much attention to it.

I was thinking of watching the already released movies that has dubs but I think that would hype me up for movie 3 and I'll have to go for it subbed. Happened to me with the Steins;Gate movie, lol.

Saitama is OP to the core, not necessarily a complaint. But it's really hilarious. The action scenes aren't that good either and not really impressed with the soundtrack. Although the characters are what made this anime what it is IMO. Definitely overrated to be frank. Wubbout you? Why aren't you watching it.
