My biggest regret is moving down on Texas because let say I'm more lonely in this states then when I used to lived in Maryland.
I don't think the Republican senate (chiefly McConnell) would give up Taiwan since chip making is a bipartisan issue. Also a war with China over Taiwan increases military spending which many republican districts/counties/states depend on. Republicans were the first to make anti-China their issue.
Actually they would, they can turn against Taiwan because of the LGBTQ thing, they don't give a damn about chip since majority of them voted against the Chip act. That's why I worried if GOP would turn against South Korea because of not only Trump praising North Korea and Kim Jong-Un. But because the K-pop fandom in the US was involved with this:

Also, one of the GOP's star witness against Hunter Biden, Gal Luft was indicted for weapon trafficking for China and Iran and the GOP still backed him and find him credible despite the guy's deep knee in China and the GOP's anti-China rhetoric.

There's multiple brands of GOP. DeSantis Florida brand, mainstream brand, religious etc. It's a big tent.
