I don't expect people to rate quite as tough as I do, but out of 1944 anime watched I have 25 I rated 10 and 41 rated 9. That is probably too few, but that is how I see them. Actually, if I add in 8's I only have around 200 total rated 8 or higher. So, 200/1944=10.2% and that is pretty close to what I expected out of anime. Most of the modern anime I never even waste my time watching since it's just the same crap with different names and faces. LOL. But that does skew my rating average up to a higher than should be figure. Still, I am the one watching and I refuse to waste my time on drivel. This season has 1 title I am collecting.....Young Black Jack. I started, and dropped, after 3 episodes, Utawarerumono. The original is better, but not very good. It's about average, a rating I seldom even bother with. I have so much experience watching anime, and all sorts of video, that I smell a rat quickly. Many titles never get looked at simply from the description and pictures of characters. For me, there is entirely too much moe in anime anymore. And most anime today is made to sell manga and merchandise and use incomplete manga for stories. Enough of my rant for now. LOL.

I used to be known as Furykury1, check out my Top Anime List. I think your rating system is pretty good, but you have too many 10's and 9's for only 275 anime watched. Still, it's your call since you are the one watching! LOL.

The characters in Brotherhood don't get me wrong they had personality but having personality does not make you a developed character. My main problem with Edward and Al's development was Brotherhood didn't take the time to go through there childhood and really show the pain they went through. It's hard to sympathize with their mission and Ed's hatred towards his father without it. To me all Edward in the show was a protagonist who's sensitive of his height and had a higher sense of justice (again personality) and Al just a person stuck in a suit of armor who followed his brother around. See the episode when Al questions himself as a person and compare that to the episode of the original Full Metal. It's much better presented in the original and serves more towards his development. Brotherhood was just a huge rush.

And also. The last 5-10 episodes were indistinguishable from a prolonged DBZ fight. This ending was much less substantive than the original which at the very least had you questioning things. Brotherhood=Shonen wheareas the 2003 FMA=an Action Adventure story
