Really? That's the only reason why? lol, well since you did it again in this reply I think this time it was on purpose (don't deny it!) πŸ™„ Naughty...
maybe, maybe not. i ain't gonna tell 😝🀣

Yeah if no other seasons come out the manga is the only way to go. What I find kind of crazy is that anime is usually created (at least that's how it's mostly been in the past) to promote the manga which is weird to me considering how much more expensive it is to create an anime vs. a manga. I say in the past because I've noticed more animes that are original series (not based on any manga) and some of them have been pretty successful, like Lycoris Recoil.
some of these so-called "originals" are either webtoon based or maybe they are indeed original series. either way, anime or manga, they still make a profit, but more of a loss of the anime tanked compared to the manga lol

On that note I'd like to add that it is kind of disappointing how many good animes don't get a 2nd season and some mediocre ones do, like huh?! So I've been thinking of focusing more on animes that have had multiple seasons that I still need to watch and focus less on new animes that only have 1 season and catch up on those later, especially if they get a 2nd season. As you know I plan on watching SH soon followed by someday watching DBZ, Fairy Tail, Is it Wrong..., etc.
yeah, it is disappointing when anime series don't get a second season or more. Black Butler finally showed a new season (it just aired today) after being on break for a long time. Same goes for Irregular; before the second season came out, it was over 4 or 5 years since the first season aired. I was almost losing hope of never getting to see more of the series, but then second season was announced and now there's a third one too lol

i don't think other platforms are streaming it. but hey, now i know what i wanna use that "magic" for: The Irregular at Magic High School The Movie - The Girl Who Summons The Stars πŸ˜‚πŸ˜œ

Hmm ok, stay tuned :p
ooohhh, sounds like some magic's about to happen lol πŸ‘πŸ˜œ

Yeah that's true, he definitely felt responsible for what happened which was the right thing to do. While it was sad that Shion and company were killed once Eren revealed the story of how a demon king was able to revive a dead character back to life I figured Shion and most likely the others would be too. Regardless it was still great watching Rimuru and his companions mow everyone down.
oh heck yeah! it was sooooo freaking rewarding watching them overpower those cowards. they keep underestimating their monster town when in fact, those monsters are way more OP than their entire forces combined. i mean, Benimaru wiped out at least 100 soldiers on his freaking own!

Speaking of otherworlders, even though I also dislike Hinata she at least isn't arrogant in as so far as to think there isn't anyone stronger than her, hence her putting up a barrier before attacking Rimuru. At this point I'm not sure if her and Rimuru will fight again before S3 but I know she's around since the poster you linked a week ago showed her.
Hinata has her own rules. I think she is aware of how strong and powerful she is, and she is not so callous and full of herself like Shogo and his cohorts; she is a knight, after all, so she learned discipline and whatever knights code of honor they abide by.

Hmm, so you think that the % chance was a lot higher? Any idea how high, like close to 100%? I thought it was odd how they explained it since they kept saying 3.14% but also that Rimuru would have to be a demon lord in order to be able to revive them, maybe I didn't understand how it was worded but regardless it worked out as I figured it would.
him using that water droplet skill to kill off a bunch of those soldiers ought to have earned him helluvalot of EXP, don't you think so? i'm thinking even though he doesn't look at his status window like in most isekais, the way each character levels up is the same: defeat monsters/humans/enemies and gain massive amount of EXP.

I see, I thought he was called by Diablo before but since what you said makes more sense so I think some forum posters probably called him by his given name by Rimuru since many posters read the manga before anyone knew that name. Side note, it's a pet peeve how some of them post spoilers from the manga by saying stuff like "oh I can't wait until so and so kicks so and so's butt" or something, like dude you just spoiled an upcoming fight and who wins 🀦‍♂️
that's why sometimes i don't like reading forums. i mean, i don't mind finding out spoilers, but not when i am anticipating a certain event outcome or something lol

Slime Diaries:
it's a nice break from the goings-on in the main series, but yeah, it was kinda boring when i watched it. but i enjoyed it regardless. it showed what the monsters were up to in Tempest when they aren't dealing with some big bad or another crisis. the Diaries eps will feature the four seasons, recounting Rimuru's first year in his new world.

Because for some reason your responses for Apr 7th did not have the first letter of paragraphs capitalized and you usually do capitalize them like in your latest reply :) Maybe you were tired or in a rush, or traveling?? πŸ˜›πŸ˜‰
oh lol i just felt like not capitalizing the first letter at the beginning for faster typing i guess lol

Yeah not sure what channels you have up there but some sports oriented channels may at least show highlights. Ngl I won't go out of my way to see any of this on tv but in person if I'm in the area I'll see how close I can get without paying for a ticket for the beach volleyball lol.
same here. if i happen to see a match being televised, then sure, i'll check it out, but i might not finish watching it in its entirety unless i get fully involved in the match.

Girl, you do have a good memory, they did show brief scenes of some demons which I'm assuming were ones that were previously shown but I didn't count them as new characters for that reason but also because of their very brief appearance although I could see them being expanded upon in the next potential season. In particular if Felm does get rehabilitated I take it they would target her since I would imagine they would see her as a traitor.
usually when they show some characters at the end, those characters often has something to do with how the rest of the series goes from where it ended. of course some series don't get a second or third season, so showing those characters is kinda annoying (unless they do it to entice viewers to buy the manga and read what happens next lol).

Hmm, unless its on another streaming platform like Hulu, Netflix, etc it may be available on a "magic" site if you're interested.
i don't think other platforms are streaming it. but hey, now i know what i wanna use that "magic" for: The Irregular at Magic High School The Movie - The Girl Who Summons The Stars πŸ˜‚πŸ˜œ

Yeah true that there were some bad apples in the Great Cleric and I think generally there will always be some especially in large groups but I think the MC was on his way to change that habit. Speaking of which, that was another series that was getting good as it ended /sigh
i'm hoping a second season to be announced sometime soon, coz i wanna see how much he reforms the church and the healers.

Yeah great point as I also think Shion was the main driving force in pushing Rimuru to do what he had to do.
rimuru sees the goblins and the kaijin as his family, and majority of the dead were goblins, plus his beloved tantrum-throwing secretary lol he also realized that their deaths were on him coz of the rules he instilled in them and of course they were ever so loyal to him that they followed it to a T until they were cut down by those bastards 🀬

That was such a slimey move that even I felt a bit bad for her as she got strangled to death but she was no angel herself so that bad feeling didn't last since she got Gobta's friend killed.
that just proves how "worthy" of a human being Shogo was lol they were all selfish egomaniacs whose heads grew bigger coz they were summoned and received powers; they probably thought they are OP'd already coz they were summoned like those heroes from manga and anime, but little did they know that there are actually far more stronger non-summoned beings that can beat the snot outta him lol

Hmm, another great point (I can tell you've watched this multiple times lol) that with Rimuru out their chance of success would be very high if not 100%. So now that it's confirmed this is the same group that Hinata is working with I think it's only a matter of time before she realizes her big screw up in not ensuring Rimuru's death although I think her bigger screw up is not hearing Rimuru out when they fought.
a person who is blinded by their own self worth and self justice or whatever the heck they are so full of themselves about, won't bother to listen to what anyone they considered "beneath them" in stature, especially if they were mere monsters whom everyone seems to think were dumb, stupid and just after killing off humans.

I just finished up watching part 1 of S2 and in ep. 11 Rimuru officially became a demon lord, and it was a sight to behold! The demon named Diablo returned when Rimuru summoned several demon lords and the Great Sage evolved to become Raphael with the same subtle attitude lol. Also, Shion has been resurrected which I pretty much expected to happen despite there only being a 3.14% chance. They did add that the 3.14% chance was before Rimuru became a demon lord (but that doesn't make much sense since he couldn't revive anyone unless he became a demon lord right?) so I'm guessing the chance of resurrecting increased quite a bit after his transformation.
i think that 3.14% was calculated based on Rimuru's current mana level, which was a lot considering he ate Veldora and basically received his blessings, but after he massacred those Falmuth army and earned a new skill, Merciless, he probably just leveled up exponentially, which added to him becoming really OP after he evolved and Great Sage evolved to Raphael.

There was another confusing part regarding Diablo as I thought he already had that name? Wasn't that his name back when he saved Shizu??
he wasn't called "Diablo" back when he first crossed paths with Shizu. he was still called "Black" or "Noir" as he was nameless when he was summoned. Rimuru was the one who named him, otherwise, if he was already named "Diablo" when he first crossed paths with Shizu, that would mean he was already named by his master and won't be summonable anymore coz he already has a master he's serving.

Ep. 12 was another packed episode with some humor and confirmations of the storyline. First about the humor, it was funny how Benimaru made a password w/ Rimuru to ensure he was still the same person by coming up with the phrase "Shion's cooking tastes like shit" and it backfired thanks to Raphael lol. Also it was nice how Rimuru woke up in Shion's lap w/ her boobs resting on his head, he probably missed that haha.
i think after all the excitement in the previous episodes, this 12th episode was a breather episode, infusing it with humor before introducing the next headache the Tempest gang is about to face 😜

Anyway, part 1 of S2 was an enjoyable and entertaining watch but I'll be taking a break w/ S2 since I now have to watch the Dairies since it was released between part 1 & part 2 of S2. Did you like those episodes because I'm assuming it's very SOL considering the name of this series?
the Diaries is set during the four seasons in S1. it showed what the gang was up to away from the main story plot line.
LeenPhoenixRae Apr 9, 1:17 PM
why did you ask if shift key was broken? πŸ€”

Lol, I didn't even consider them sliding on the court bare skinned so your explanation makes sense. And agreed that beach volleyball is more fan service than indoor :p Btw, do you follow volleyball? AVP (Association of Volleyball Professionals) will be in my area in May although I don't really follow it but I may check it out.
Nope, I don't follow it nor do I watch any volleyball matches. I don't even recall watching any volleyball highlights on any of the sports channels we have here. I'd be interested to watch a match on TV if they ever show it. Hmm...come to think of it, I might end up checking to see if it gets televised lol

Haha, this is why you shouldn't fast-forward through scenes and stuff although I understand watching too much stuff as I've gotten confused too. To answer your question, the last couple of characters they introduced were the fox girl that is going w/ Usato and Felm herself so not sure if you thought there were other ones beyond them.
I make sure to pay attention to any new characters, and if I see a new face after I skipped some scenes, I go back and find out why or who that new face is lol I already know they added the fox beastkin to the cast of characters, but didn't they show some of the demon characters in the end there? Or I might be confused with a different ending sequence for a different series all together lol

Also, good to hear that you're refreshing yourself for Irregular so that you don't miss any part of the new season. As I said I have that on my PTW list but I don't know when I'll get started because I had planned on watching SH after I catch up on Slime.
I'm almost done catching up to S2 of Irregular, and I'm kinda bummed that the movie isn't available on CR (they showed it for a limited time when Funimation was still around); hopefully CR gets the right to stream it again coz I enjoyed that movie before they showed the second season.

I think that the anime producers didn't know if Slime would get green lit for a S2 and also for 24 eps. so I still think that they went back to add scenes that they were originally going to omit because it was weird how they repeated Rimuru leaving the school twice but it worked out in the end and I'm glad they added the new stuff at the beginning of S2 to flesh out the storyline of Falmuth and Rimuru (most likely) becoming a demon lord (I say most likely because I haven't seen that happen yet) and of course adding the Eurazania storyline which I also think will come into play later on since, for some reason, Milim declared war on.
I dunno what it is about Slime that got me hooked on it. The characters are all interesting and they seldom have any slow, boring scenes/eps. The latter half of S2 is just as thrilling as the first half, and more humor and craziness injected in it too.

Yeah I've noticed that as I watch more isekais which I'm not a big fan of as but I think for the creators it's a "safe" group to make the bad guys rather than picking a race or something lol. At least the Great Cleric series from last year showed the church as mostly good.
Well, when you think about it, IRL, it is true when you look back and read about history. And the Great Cleric, some of the people involved in the church are OK people, but still, the healers who are supposed to be working for the church are all greedy bastards, which reflects badly on the church itself lol

Aww, yeah it was tough and shocking to watch but the way the previous ep. ended with the otherworlders about to attack Gobta's friend and Shion I feared the worst and yeah they got killed. Yeah I thought it was Milim, especially after in the latter part of the story showed her in her current garb but makes me wonder how old she is since she looks like a teen girl, my guess is that since she's half dragon plus demon lord she either doesn't age or ages very slowly like an elf or something.
Shion would've had to be one helluva strong warrior to survive the attack dealt to her. But I think they needed to kill off some key characters to help move the story along and give Rimuru the push he needs to considering taking on the task of becoming a Demon Lord 😁

So I watched ep. 10 yesterday and it was a satisfying watch with the revenge beginning. Benimaru had a very easy time taking down the side he was assigned to, the fight scene between the elder ogre, Hakuro, and the otherworlder w/ the all seeing eye was great, but it sucked that Shogo was able to escape although the old sorcerer guy ended up using him for his body, literally lol. So I believe that all of the otheworlders are dead, at least from the group that attacked Tempest.
Hakuro's group showed more satisfying fight scenes, especially when Geld was beating the crap outta that Shogo guy after he just killed the female otherworlder to gain her power. Too bad his so called berserker ability ain't no match for Geld's rot and his overwhelming strength as he continuously delivered heavy blow after heavy blow on Shogo.

Oh and that old sorcerer guy that took Shogo's body was surprised to hear that Rimuru lives as he knew that Hinata fought him so that confirms that Hinata is working for the same church/group that also attacked Tempest. What did you think of ep. 10?
They have one of the high ranking priests from the church with them, so of course they were told of Hinata's face off against Rimuru. Since Hinata didn't bother double checking to make sure that Rimuru was indeed dead, they all just took her word for it that he was defeated and left it at that. I think that information was what made them confident in attacking Tempest knowing that their leader is supposedly gone now. And they would've become the victors of that small war if Rimuru hadn't returned and been royally pissed that he didn't care how many human souls he'll need to sacrifice in order to hopefully bring his fallen comrades back to life.
LeenPhoenixRae Apr 7, 7:49 PM
I've seen some women's volleyball on tv in the past and sometimes their outfit rides up but enough about describing it, you know how they say a picture is worth 1,000 words? Well technically it's 2 pics but this shows that indoor volleyball can be a bit revealing too...
the indoor uniform needs more coverage since they often end up sliding on the court to save the ball, so bare skin will freaking hurt if they do that! lol beach setting doesn't require a of sliding, just diving for the ball to save it and hitting the sand bare skinned is probably better or something lol And let's face it, beach volleyball is more of a fan service compared to the indoor volleyball setting lol

Yeah that's the unfortunate part of having too many tourists, that a few are disrespectful and make it so the locals start dreading tourists as a whole which ruin it for the rest of us. I've recently heard that Japan is going to ban tourists/foreigners from going into certain parts of their cities due to having to deal with a bunch of headaches/hassles which is a shame.
it is sad, indeed, but at the same time i ain't surprised and unfortunate for new tourists wanting to visit the area but it's already not accessible thanks to a buncha a-hole foreigners who probably dropped their IQ at the airport from wherever they came from lol

Oh yeah I remember that, was that after or before the Wethermon fight? Besides them better not forgetting to address that, they also better not forget to address Sunraku's curse and the fight against Lycagon.
it was before Wethermon. i think him being escorted to Rabitzua (or however that place is spelled lol) is already a unique scenario quest as it is.

Yeah good points, and I'd like to add that Felm probably doesn't want to stay back w/ Rose alone lol. Wondering about future possibilities makes me hope that they eventually announce a 2nd season. 🀞
There better be a second season coz...well, they can't just leave it like that after showing some other characters in the end there (or didn't they? i'm probably getting confused with all of the series i'm watching lol).

I pretty much feel the same way, they got me a little upset especially with that damn barrier that weakened the monsters, argh! Speaking of which, I recently watched eps. 7, 8, & 9 and they were shown in ep. 9 guarding one of the exit points and barrier points with the elder ogre, along with other monsters, heading over there to eliminate everyone and to get the weakening barrier down.
oh, next episode (ep. 10) is an epic one. i enjoyed watching that episode thoroughly. it hink the next three episodes (10, 11, 12) are all worth watching.

Since I had recently watched the 1st season and currently going through S2 I realized that they repeated the same scenes in S2E6 as what was shown in S1E23 when Rimuru left the school and gave Chloe Shizu's mask but main point is that everything after S2E6 is back on track. Although as you said prior to him him leaving his teaching position he was traveling back and fourth.
if i recall beginning of S2 rimuru had to travel back to Tempest real quick to wish his delegates good luck going to Eurazania, so him being at the school with the kids in E5 isn't really confusing me much to me lol

Hmm, yeah I can see that, although now with the church helping out Falmuth I wondering if a high ranking member from the church filled Hinata's mind with a bunch of lies or half-lies and she just accepted it. If she is part of that same church then I can see someone giving her grief because they will find out the hard way that Rimuru is still alive.
what i noticed after watching countless anime series, the "church" is often depicted as not the source of good, but rather a buncha lies, deceit and all the mean things stem from those places lol

Slime E7:
he barely escaped that face off and Rimuru knew it, hence why he thought of an escape plan in the hopes of deceiving his opponent in believing that she defeated him.

Slime E8:
the episode before, when those falmuth shitheads invaded Tempest and wrecked havoc in town, was my most skipped episode during my rewatch lol but this episode was bittersweet, and i honestly cried like Gobta when I saw Gobzo lying there lifeless. i was shocked when i saw Shion's lifeless body and broken horn, and i honestly felt Rimuru's anger after seeing what the humans did to his people and his town. that story Eren told Rimuru about, i think that is Milim's backstory on how she became a demon lord.

Slime E9:
yeah, this episode is indeed a build-up on that epicness that is about to unfold lol it was kinda slow for me, with Rimuru pretty much repeating what Eren just told him about how he can save Shion and the others. but still, it was worth watching as it it's a nice lead-in the next few episodes.

Slime S3 & The Irregular at Magic High School:
it is a good start after missing watching new episodes for over two years now since the second season ended. i can't wait to watch next weeks episode and find out more on what happens next. as for Irregular, I became a fan of the series after binge-watching it on Netflix a few years back, and I was ecstatic when the second season was announced and now that the 3rd season is out, I'm back to rewatching the series again starting from S1 lol

Re:Monster:
i watched the first episode too. i wasn't sure if i was gonna like this or not, but the synopsis was intriguing enough and although it felt kinda slow to me the start of the first episode, it did become interesting midway through so now i wanna know what happens next episode.
LeenPhoenixRae Apr 5, 7:04 PM
Also, that's a sport I don't mind watching and I'm talking about womens volleyball, especially beach volleyball (don't ask because I'm sure you can guess why πŸ˜†)
🀣🀣🀣🀣 I don't think women's beach volleyball team uniforms are that revealing, are they? Unless it's a non-competitive beach volleyball match, then yeah, they can show off so much skin for peeps to ogle at lol

Yeah it's an 'OG' anime that I may someday watch. Recently there was a movie and the reason I know that is because there was a Youtube clip of an abnormal number of tourists congregating on a certain street that was shown in the movie and locals were saying how they had a harder time dealing with the large number of tourists that were taking selfies at that spot.
I guess Slam Dunk was one of the best "oldies" anime series, but since it's a sport anime, I never really got drawn to it. But good for that area for receiving tourist to boost their economy, but only downside is the place gets trashed coz quite a lot of people don't know how to respect the places they are visiting.

Early on I had no idea how long this series might be and it really wasn't until they got to the Wethermon fight that I realized they're going to need a bunch more episodes to get through all of this. I also didn't realize how big a deal that scenario ended up being and for that we get to see Emul almost as much as the MC himself.
I thought it'd be a short, one-season series myself, but I realized they will need to add a second season when Vash gave Sunraku more quests to complete his unique quest. He barely made a dent on that list (I think) and they better not end the season without addressing that matter lol

I think Felm grew attached to Usato because he was the only one that would go visit her in jail and (I think) healed her up after he kicked her butt. One way she can become more trustworthy is if it comes out that she was being mind controlled by some demon person or some accessory she has or had because what's to stop her from transforming again down the road? And Rose really only trained her to appease the king but if Felm learns to heal she could become another valuable asset although I laughed when the king had Rose train her because as Felm said, the training is worse than chilling in jail lol.
I think she fell for Usato's kindness and indifference towards her. He was more worried about her injuries when he came to see her when she was in jail, and I don't think he insisted on interrogating her before healing her injuries. It was his act of kindness that endeared him to her and I think that's what made her not wanna be away from him. But I think Rose won't even bother giving her the same kinda training as she did Usato if she wasn't interested in her abilities.

Slime and the Otherworlders:
Yeah, those guys are pieces of trash lol And I really wanna get my hands on 'em and bash their faces in coz of how full of themselves are, a trait that Rimuru warned the monsters to not develop after they evolved. Those Otherworlders were clearly displaying those traits of belittling those they deem beneath them simply because they're low level monsters. And if they hadn't cheated, those so-called low level monsters would've beaten their sorry asses in zero time flat lol

I think ep 7 or 8 or 9 will get way more interesting and Rimuru's gang will get their time to shine. That's all I'm gonna say on that matter without giving away too much of what happens next lol

Ep. 6 confirmed that this season actually started before the end of S1 which is weird and confusing. My guess is that the producers weren't sure if this would get more multi-cour seasons and since it was approved later they added scenes that were probably going to be omitted, what's your thought on that?
I didn't pay much attention to the actual timeline once I started watching second season lol I was more engrossed with what was currently happening and figured that Rimuru was just traveling back and forth between Tempest and the school where he teaches.

About Hinata and Rimuru, Rimuru messed up when he admitted to "killing" Shizu since I think that made Hinata more determined to kill him. And Hinata is a bitch because for one thing, she weakened Rimuru with her barrier (although I'll admit it's a smart tactic), but also because she has refused to listen/reason w/ Rimuru. With that said, this ended w/ Rimuru using gluttony so we'll see what happens next.
I think Rimuru's guilt of not being able to save Shizu made him say/think that he was responsible for killing Shizu. Hinata's belief that monsters aren't trustworthy because of the church's teaching probably was the reason why she doesn't want to spare a single second listening to Rimuru explain what exactly happened.

Are you excited for S3 starting when you read this? :)
I just finished watching the first episode of S3 and I felt like it was over in just under 5 minutes! lol Okay, maybe 10 mins lol But it was a good start to the season, and now my Friday night line-up is set with Slime & The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3. I was feeling kinda bummed out coz after Monday, the season's new series that were released weren't to my liking. I started watching some of 'em on a whim, and some were good, while the rest were blah lol
LeenPhoenixRae Apr 3, 6:09 PM
ANOTHER recap?! Haha this series is the king of recaps jeez :p
Yeah, I wish they'd quit recapping the season or some episodes, but they love to do that, but this time having voiceovers from characters who are not always featured in the show.

Glad to hear that you like some sports series and volleyball in particular. I've seen a few matches on TV for volleyball and near me they have volleyball competitions at the beach in the summer.
I played volleyball for fun when I was back in junior high. I never joined any team, except when our school had our sports festival week and our class competed in the girls volleyball. I think I was only on the court for one set and I scored 1 point which happened purely by fluke lol

Have you seen Slam Dunk and if so what did you think of it?
I heard it was a good series too (my brother wanted to watch it and I dunno if he eventually did watch it or watched a completely different series lol). It's a really old school anime, back in late 80s or early 90s. It was interesting; I watched nearly halfway through the first episode, but never finished it. At the time I wasn't in the mood to watch any sports series and forgot about it after that lol

SLF and Wrong Way:
I knew they won't be able to tell the full story in just one season of SLF, especially with all the stuff they keep injecting in there and whatnot. Plus that unique scenario quest Sunraku received early on in the series, they presented it as something that can't/won't be resolved in just one 24-ep season.

Wrong Way was an interesting series. I'm curious to know what becomes of Felm since she seemed to have grown attached to Usato. She was gonna stowaway on Usato's ride when he leaves for his mission with the heroes lol But too bad for her, it's the fox beastkin that ended accompanying him. And I think Rose took a liking to Felm too, otherwise, why would she waste training her even if the king asked her to do it, right? I mean, she'd take Felm under her wing, but she won't give her the same treatment she gave Usato when she personally recruited him to her rescue squad team lol

Slime time! lol
So you're enjoying S2 already, and 4 episodes in already. That's good. Things are starting to get turned upside down now, but that will only propel the series to moving forward a bit faster.

And I think Hinata dislikes Rimuru coz the Western Holy Church doesn't like monsters; to them, monsters needs to be killed. So Rimuru will have to work real hard to convince her and her team that his Tempest crew are the good kinds of monsters with almost OP abilities lol

As for the other Otherworlders...can't talk about them much until after you've seen a few more episodes. I'll be spoiling it for ya if I do lol
Bagel_bitch Apr 2, 7:59 PM
Thanks! Sorry for the late response- My life has been kinda crazy as of late lol. How're you doing?
LeenPhoenixRae Apr 1, 7:39 PM
I'm replying to this one first coz it needs to be addressed ASAP lol:
Oh btw, it looks like Slime S3 started a week early so if you weren't aware it should be on Crunchyroll in case you want to get started on watching. I'll be starting S2 very soon πŸ‘
The episode that came out this past Saturday was more of a recap episode, but this time the commentators were Veldora and Diablo. 😝

Hmm, Ao Ashi is another high scored sports-themed anime, gotta say you pick good ones when you're in the mood to watch one. Regarding these types of anime, it seems like you like them but to an extent. Like you'll pick one and watch it and then be good on that for a while, is that a fair assessment? Also, did you ever finish the 3rd season of Diamond no Ace?
Hahaha it was one of those "must watch" series when it came out, and after not finding any luck with the seasonals, I decided to check it out and ended up enjoying it. And yeah, sports anime are fun to watch, but I easily get bored with it. The only series I didn't get bored watching and can't help but want to watch more is Haikyuu!! 😍 Maybe because I love volleyball. And another sports anime that I binged to the very last episode/movie is Kuroko no Basket. I don't mind watching basketball too since growing up, my bro, dad and uncles are all big basketball fans, so whenever it's the NBA semi-finals and finals, it's a big deal. I don't follow any particular team; I mostly end up cheering for whoever is the underdog, unless both teams duking it out in the finals both haven't won any championships in a very long time, then I just cheer for whoever is winning ATM lol

AboutSLF:
Emul is Sunraku's number one bunny gal! lol And didn't you notice how she was making faces at him during his attempts to beat those crystal scorpions? It was hilarious. And yeah, I noticed that both Emul & Sunraku both ended up having the same expression, but I'd be mirroring the same expression as theirs too given how much Bilac was salivating over those loot that Sunraku presented her.

And I think the producers anticipated that SLF will be a big hit so they probably planned ahead and figured out a potential second season in case S1 was a hit. And thing slowed down nearing the end there coz I think the writers/producers already knew that they have another season to flesh out some of the stuff they introduced in the last few episodes of S1 that will sure keep fans tuned in to find out what happens next.

Lastly, the final ep. before S2 was from a new character's perspective named Hinata and this ep. gave me some info about her. While this is yet another recap (is this a record?) I liked this a bit more than Veldora's Journal, probably because they focused on Shizu more and teased who is going to show up in S2.
I don't recall this one much, but I think it is similar to that Shizu episode at the end of S1. By this time I already know that they are prone to releasing recap eps so I skip those out, unless I read some chatter that pertains to that particular episode, but usually it's a recap so I don't really bother much.

Regarding the 5th and final OVA ep. I did not expect Diablo to come out of nowhere. On that note I thought that the teacher was going to die to give up her soul to him as part of their contract but the only thing he requested was for her to keep quiet about him as he only wanted to repay his debt to Shizu. I remember he appeared in ep. 24 of S1 but what was the debt he owed her? Thinking back was it the fight they had that led the corrupt human leaders and the other demon revealing themselves to kill Shizu which allowed him to find and kill them? Because I can't recall what else he's talking about.
I was confused too when I saw this episode, but since Diablo is interested in Rimuru, and he is indebted to Shizu or something like that, he kept an eye on her and her charges, and since the kids became Rimuru's charges as well, he just wanted to return Shizu's favor I guess by answering the summon when the kids and the teacher were in danger.

About Hinata, apparently she was one of Shizu's students and I'm pretty sure was the one that eavesdropped on Rimuru and Ranga having a conversation after they left the kids at the end of ep. 23. What I don't like is her assumption that Rimuru killed Shizu and so therefore has a bone to pick with him, I hope he smacks her around and she ends up realizing the dumb mistake she made in her assumption. What did you think about these OVAs and the other recap episode?
Based on the S3 poster, I think we'll see them face off once again.

I think Hinata's given the wrong information about how Shizu died, and since Rimuru wore Shizu's face on his humanoid person, Hinata most likely assumed that he ate her corpse and gained her features.

Wrapping up the gym thread:
People aren't all that bad judging others who are at the gym. I usually ignore everyone when I went there, except when they're making it hard to be ignored coz they're either hogging the weights just to take freaking selfies and leave said weights where they dropped them after their photo-op moment. And girls wearing revealing outfits to workout are most likely compensating (same goes for men too, IMO) lol Just wear something comfortable! lol

About Oshi no Ko:
OK, I'll try and watch it and not be annoyed by the drama lol But really, it's harder for me to watch something that I really don't feel like watching and enjoy watching it. So until my mind decided it wants to watch an episode of this series, then that's when it's gonna happen. I think with Blue Lock that's what happened. I was never really in the mood to watch a sports anime that I am not even a sports-fan of; I enjoyed Ao Ashi, but finishing that series also took me a while. And, I didn't start watching the series until the season was almost over (I think it's a 24-ep season).

Wow that series got over 8.0 ratings for each of the 3 seasons, pretty good. I'll have to check it out at some point, maybe after I watch Oblivion Battery this upcoming season, added to PTW list.
Diamond no Ace is actually pretty good, and I like the characters. None of 'em are the annoying, cringe-y types. But I think after binge-watching the first two seasons, I was all baseballed-out and can't concentrate on watching the 3rd season lol

Thanks for those links, I didn't realize there's a movie too and looking at the list that I linked previously it does show up although it shows the movie after S2 and the 3 OVAs after the movie. That list also says that the 3 OVAs could be watched after the S1 OVAs per the timeline, talk about somewhat confusing huh lol.
Yeah, the movies and OVAs are sometimes confusing, but they still somehow connect, provided you've seen the seasons already so you can tell when in the timeline it fits.

About the first twoOVAs:
Yeah, those two episodes are just fun fillers serving up quite a lot of fanservice for the fans lol But it just showed how closeknit the Tempest people are, and how bad Shion's cooking really is lol

The 3rd OVA was the start of a mini-series with Rimuru's days teaching the kids so I think it's in the past before he departed from them in ep. 23 and the first one was a set-up with Rimuru getting the kids weapons and competing against another teacher. Rimuru seems to have an agenda with wanting to win the 10 gold coins to buy an antique desk but you'd think he could just have the dwarves or others in his village to make him one you know? So what did you think of these episodes?
I thought the same too about him just asking the dwarves to make it for him, but I think it's something he wants to buy and leave at the academy for him to use so he can't really just ask the dwarves to make it for him. At first I didn't think much about this episode, but after watching the most recent OVA (the one I linked you), it helped that I watched it lol

Ok that is pretty gross and I've seen it firsthand too which if I see equipment that I'm about to use and I see what I presume is sweat I'll wipe it down. One time I told a younger guy to wipe the equipment since he was just going to walk away after he was done but after I pointed to the wipes he wiped it down lol. But to the main point, that's not a good excuse to not go to the gym you know but if you get your exercise elsewhere then no biggie (at least walk if nothing else).
I'm just too lazy to go to the gym and be around judge-y people lol Although they might not be judgmental types, still, at the back of my head I can't help but think/wonder if they're mentally body shaming or or judging me or whatever lol I'd rather do my workouts at home, although sometimes the use of a treadmill or stationary bike is awesome (I don't wanna spend $$$ on stuff I will probably not use much lol).

Why are you like that? (kind of rhetorical) This not the first time you've said that, I imagine you're browsing anime shows and then you click on Oshi no Ko and before you're about to hit play you say naaahhh let's rewatch some old isekai lol, did I hit the nail on the head? :p
I dunno why I do that a lot. I will sometimes watch the first episode, but I sometimes don't even finish it before dropping the episode and the rest of the series lol Maybe it's got the musical/idol theme and a lot of drama and that's just turning me off lol

See my question right above, but kidding aside I now understand why the # doesn't matter to you, fair enough. Besides Slime 3rd Season I'm not really sure how the other animes I've put in the PTW will turn out although I'm intrigued by Oblivion Battery since I've yet to watch a baseball themed sports anime and it's animated by MAPPA, plus baseball season is about to start too.
I don't midn watching baseball anime, but not all baseball anime holds my interest. Diamond no Ace held my attention for a bit, but now I haven't even finished watching the 3rd season lol

I get that you didn't care to watch Dragon Ball but I meant that his animes were so influential in the West that I think it made it more popular for future series to release over here and get official subs and dubs such as one of your favorites like Fairy Tail.
I watch anime but not care about who wrote the original manga series or whatnot (unless I read the manga, but even then, I don't pay much attention to the author's name lol), so you throwing that guy's name means squat to me coz I won't recognize him or his work(s) unless you specifically mention what series he's done.

About Slime are you serious about them not following up on Chloe after everything that happened in ep. 23?! After they tease and sort of drop Shizu they do the same w/ cutie Chloe?! WTH... do you think that could be followed up in season 3?
None that I recall. But then again, the second season focused on something completely different so the kids were probably shown in earlier episodes of the second season.

Yeah I don't know who that is and I'm not even sure if it's a guy or girl yet but they showed the same scene in Veldora's Journal which I'll give my thoughts below.
That character will be introduced in S2 😁

Slime topic reply-dump lol (so I don't have to quote each one lol):
So S3 is starting next month, cool. I don't have to wait long anymore lol

Don't forget about the movie too, and I think there's a 3-episode arc that was released recently that happened before the start of the second season I believe. It's That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Visions of Coleu and the movie is called That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: The Movie - Scarlet Bond This one happened I think after the events of S2.

I am weary of watching recap episodes lol But I enjoyed watching Veldora's Journal coz it's nice to hear his opinion on what's going on outside Rimuru's stomach. And I think he and Ifrit became BFFs too. And I dunno what anime doesn't do freaking recap episodes. I hate it when that happens. I just skim through it and that's that lol
LeenPhoenixRae Mar 25, 6:13 PM
Ok to be clear I mean that I don't think you're that old despite you having knee pain lol plus like you said you don't sound (or rather type) like an older lady. I know what you mean about the gym but in my case my local gym put bins throughout with wipes after the pandemic started so that it would encourage people to wipe down the equipment after use and I gotta say that most people (including myself) do wipe the equipment down but sometimes a few people don't which are usually younger guys in late teens/early 20s who probably think they know better or more likely are just lazy.
Gyms here had wipes and bins too for people to use to clean up after themselves even before the pandemic. A lot of people use it and wipe their stations, but a lot are too lazy to do that too after dripping sweat all over the machine! lol

If/when you start it let me know if you'd like to chat about it as I plan on watching it again before season 2 starts which just got announced as starting this upcoming July, no joke it was literally announced yesterday so if you do end up watching this season 2 is just around the corner :)
I'll let you know if/when I start this one. I was tempted a few times to start it, but I reeled back last minute and picked to rewatch an old series I liked instead lol

So as you may or may not have heard season 2 was officially confirmed today which helps justify the random stuff they threw out in the finale so I'm hoping that the discombobulation is worked out since there should be at least 12 more episodes coming out. Side note, I was surprised to see how much of a role Shizuka ended up getting, essentially getting more screen time than the other girls in the 2nd half. Not sure how much of a role she'll play in the 2nd season but it looks like Sasaki's neighbor will have a bigger role to play which I'm curious about since she's a little crazy lol.
I saw that announcement too, which was a good thing because if they left the end of S1 with a big honking confused question mark, a lot of people would want to know what happens after that lol Sometimes minor characters ends up stealing the show and becoming one of the regulars alongside the MC.

Thanks for going back and answering my questions although you didn't answer one where I asked how many seasonals do you plan on watching this spring?
I didn't count. I think it's either a dozen or a bit more than that. And that number only involves the ones I put in my PTW list; not sure if I'll be watching all of 'em coz I did the same with some shows for this season and I only watched a select few off that list and ended up watching something that wasn't even on my list lol

Also, I know you know who Akira Toriyama is because he is also the creator of Dragon Ball! He, in my opinion, is why anime became so popular in the US in the late 90's as DBZ became all the rage. Besides Dragon Ball and Sand Land, he also had a couple other mangas he wrote but another huge contribution was in video games as he was a character designer for some very popular Role Playing Games like Dragon Quest series and Chrono Trigger (no worries if you don't know what those games are). Anyway he was very influential to kids and adults all around the globe.
Since I ain't a DBZ fan or follower, that name means squat to me lol And since he's the creator of DBZ and I wasn't even intrigued by said series, I doubt Sand Land will draw me in to watch it.

Replying to the Slime thread instead of quoting everything lol

They sure made it look like Chloe's a big deal given that unique spirit that inhabited her, but...

You didn't recognize that character hiding behind the trees? Hmm...well, I didn't recognize that person either, but that person's identity will be revealed in season 2, I just can't remember which episode(s) though.

I agree with you about the 24th episode. It felt very detached to the main events of the series so far. And who or what are the silver wings? I don't think they're mentioned anywhere at all in the first season. I dunno why they even insert it as the 24th episode when it could've been a stand-alone OVA.

You're almost caught up, but not quite caught up yet lol Good luck watching the rest of the episodes before S3 starts. You still have until this summer (I believe S3 starts this summer, doesn't it?! I'm so confused now lol).
Galaxy-MeOw_62 Mar 24, 12:31 AM
Thanks Bro

Hmm I see, I know that a unhealthy diet can cause inflammation which could also affect your knees but you may already know that. I'll add that bike riding isn't hard on your knees though so if you were looking for an excuse to not ride a bike nice try πŸ˜‰ But seriously I hope you can find a way to relieve your knee pain and I'm assuming you're not that old (like my mom πŸ˜›)
You never know, I might be as old as your mom but doesn't sound like a really old(er) lady πŸ˜‚πŸ˜ But I get on the bike if/when I get to go to the gym. Since COVID I kinda lost interest going to the gym coz, even though I always wipe/clean up after myself even before COVID, a lot of people are too damn lazy to do even the simplest thing so I just don't bother.

Yes you're right that's how it starts and there is someone else that is also reincarnated and all that occurs in the 1st episode including a massive swerve (I was not prepared for that). Hopefully you watch it sometime soon and enjoy it 🀞
OK, so there are two reincarnated characters? Jeez, this feels like something I might or might be interested in watching, but really not wanna get into it and get confused lol If this spring season shows bore me to the death, then perhaps I'll start on this one lol

I can go on a rant as to why more modern shows are poorly written but that can be for another place. I've bookmarked the website, is your username on that site the same as here on MAL?
Yeah, the link I sent ya is my profile link. It's the same name I have on here, just without the first part lol

I got confused and replied to the one I saw right above this reply box thing, then I realized that I missed out on replying to the stuff before it so I went back and did those after replying to the Ramiris part lol

Good to know that she'll be around as after her annoying intro with her yelling she grew on me a bit and it was cute and funny how she went to town eating those cookies which she made look massive lol. I'm curious how her interactions are with Milim as they seem to know each other so hopefully they're silly and fun.
She is a hilarious character. You'll even ignore her annoyingness in future episodes lol And I won't say more without bringing in more info about future episodes 😝

I see, that's weird how their background stories weren't explained especially because they got quite a bit of attention for a few episodes and I would like see if there is a connection between Shizu and Chloe since they look so similar (I'm hoping it's not just from the character designer having a "same face" syndrome on those 2 characters).
Since the kids' arc didn't really interest me, I didn't pay much attention to it. But they were featured in 3 OVAs, those episodes I enjoyed watching just coz lol

You know that's a hallmark of a good entertaining and captivating series. On that note I dislike it when I'm enjoying an episode so much that it felt like only 5-10 minutes passed and it's over and then having to wait another week lol
I hate it too when a supposed 30-min episode is done in what felt like just 5 minutes or less! lol It annoys me if I have to wait another week to find out what happens next lol

Btw, I wanted to give my thoughts on Sasaki & Peeps since I just finished watching it tonight. NGL, the finale was all over the place. I'll try to keep spoilers to a minimum but this ended with the pink haired magical girl reappearing with another girl and both of them causing havoc. Sasaki and Peeps actually Shizuka saved the day and their boss requested for Sasaki to be her mentor essentially replacing Hoshizaki. Also the neighbor girl of Sasaki finally reappeared and after a brief interaction they showed her in an ending scene with a boy inside her home declaring himself as a demon and that she will help him hunt angels or something (seriously it was such a random ending I was like WTF lol) At the end I didn't like how they introduced new elements in the finale unless they follow up with a 2nd season and the most recent rumor I heard is that a 2nd cour will be coming out. I gave this a 7/10 as even though it got kind of random I still somewhat enjoyed this since I took it less seriously as this season concluded and watched it more for the silliness of it.
Thanks for the recap. And yeah, you're right. This is one series I will most likely take a very long time to finish, even if a promise of a 2nd cour or 2nd season is in the offering, it just got way too discombobulated for my liking to actually enjoy what the heck's going on. But Hoshizaki got booted out of senpai role and the newbie recruit was given to Sasaki to mentor? hmm...can't say I didn't see that happening though lol

**EDIT** I knew I missed replying to something, and when I was checking out what to watch on Disney+, I saw this series and remembered this is what I missed replying to lol So without further ado, here's my reply:
Ok cool, so how many seasonals did you end up putting on your PTW for Spring? Also, any plans to watch Sand Land: The Series? I've added it to my PTW and they already released the first 7 episodes with the remaining 6 to be released weekly and this is on Hulu & Disney + . Also the manga this anime adapted was made by the late Akira Toriyama whom I'm sure you've heard passed away recently as it made worldwide news, RIP.
I read the synopsis and it didn't really grab my attention, so this is going in the MOST LIKELY NOT GONNA WATCH pile lol And I'm not familiar with that person you mentioned. I read manga and watch anime, but I seldom pay attention as to who wrote the series. I might've been familiar with Akira Toriyama's works, but I wouldn't know that he/she (not even sure if this person is male or female lol) wrote said series lol
LeenPhoenixRae Mar 20, 7:27 PM
Btw, what happened to your knees? I'm guessing that either you were in an accident involving your knees or you played sports like soccer when you were younger and either wore or hurt your knees.
I wish it was caused of something like that, but I'm afraid it's got more to do with age and my not-so-healthy diet lol My current job ain't helping much either since I am always on my feet, so putting a lot of stress on them knees and all that.

Well so far the genres do not include a harem tag but that may be updated as this starts to air. As far as you being cynical, well you have watched a lot more animes than me so I don't blame you if this goes in a direction that you've seen before and don't care to see again.
I'm expecting the worse lol But who knows, if I'm bored enough outta my wits, I might check it out and either enjoy it or drop it lol

I see, there's definitely some drama but the main point of the storyline is that the MMC is looking for someone specifically due to reasons I can't say because it'd be a huge spoiler but that also means that it also is a mystery-type anime. This anime also includes drama and showbiz although the showbiz is used so that the MMC can get closer to people that may know or have known the person he's seeking. That's about all I can say but if you have a little over an hour of time you could watch the 1st episode as it's around 1.25 hrs long but no worries if you're still not interested.
Isn't the doctor that helped that idol woman give birth was killed and was then reincarnated into the body of the baby the idol he was helping ? At least that's what I remembered reading about. It will eventually be watched, but I dunno when.

Oh wow you really did dabble in fan-fiction, and that's cool that you wrote some on Buffy, Angel, and NCIS (lol at crossover with non-supernatural series). I've seen some of the series you've mentioned but not all and damn girl sounds like you wrote a lot. So what came of these fan-fictions, in other words did they get published on any online websites or do you have them archived on your PC? Also were these shared with other people that also wrote fan-fictions?
I like watching TV series, but as of late, some of the shows coming out are just...well, too poorly written? lol But as far as those fanfics are concerned, they were published online. If you wanna check 'em out, here's where most of 'em are posted (I posted in a few other sites, but this one is mostly fanfiction): fanfiction.net. I think the last fanfic I posted was way back in 2020 and I haven't even updated that one in years! lol

So this young cutie was shown in both eps. 21 & 22 since Rimuru is trying to get spirits to each of the kids so that they can hopefully live as long as Shizu did but I cannot stop seeing Shizu within Chloe like if she was reincarnated but that wouldn't make sense since Shizu was teaching Chloe (right?) so like you said maybe a relative of Shizu's. Btw Rimuru said something about Chloe like she reminds him of someone (I'm assuming he has to be thinking Shizu but you'd think he would just say that) and also when he went to fight a dragon in ep. 21 he threw Shizu's mask to the group of kids and she caught it (maybe it doesn't mean much but she caught it out of the 5 kids).
I don't think it was ever really explained where those kids came from. They were summoned from another world, but where and when in that other world they came from, it wasn't revealed. But Shizu was teaching them and she wanted to stabilize the kids by having a spirit inhabit them so their powers won't kill them. And the mask...well, I think Rimuru left that with Chloe as a memento since the kids really loved Shizu.

I think Bilac wasn't on Sunraku's shoulder earlier for a couple of reasons. First he is still getting to know Sunraku and second because as they got further in Bilac probably realized that she can conserve energy, get more protection, and as you mentioned she can be inside of the miasma-repelling aura (and I'm sure Emul doesn't mind either considering they're siblings :P ) Btw it doesn't surprise me you already knew what Sunraku was up to before saying bye to the rabbits lol.
I think Bilac didn't want to perch on Sunraku's shoulders before coz it was the first time they were teaming up. Her turning to a fur coat or something was an exception because it was a disguise needed to not attract too much attention to them lol But I think after the events of the previous episodes, Bilac realized (as she explained) it saves them having to use holy water to repel those bad miasma.

So I take it that you haven't reviewed the upcoming spring animes yet? FYI there's about 50 animes posted for spring which is crazy so my picks represent about 1/3 of available ones. Also, I watch almost all of the ones I pick out so hearing that you don't even watch half of them surprises me. Do you eventually take those out of your PTW or do they stay there for eternity?
Yeah, I revieweved the upcoming season's series, and my list really didn't change much. I read the synopsis and see if the synopsis sounds intriguing enough, then it goes in my PTW list. Some sees the light of day, while others remain there until I remember to check them out again lol

Ramiris! So in this pic Ramiris is mocking Milim with that pose and is saying that Milim thinks she can solve all problems with strength alone πŸ˜ƒ
Ramiris is annoying, but hilarious character as well lol She'll make a bit more appearance in later seasons. I can't really talk about Ramiris without spoiling much of what's gonna happen so let's leave it there.

I see, so there are different power levels between the demon lords and I'm assuming more info on them will come out in future episodes because I didn't know that Milim is more powerful than Carrion (I don't believe that their power levels have been mentioned so far). Also it looks like Milim really is one of the strongest characters, let alone demon lords, in the series (at least so far) especially if she is more powerful than Carrion as I thought maybe he was the leader of the group involving Milim.
There are a few other demon lords around, and each has their own domain that they oversee. Like what I said before, I can't discuss the demon lords without spoiling certain things so I'll keep my trap shut lol

Back to new character Ramiris, I thought she was a bit annoying at first because of her incessant screaming at Rimuru but after she calmed down and ate some cookies she became more tolerable and cute lol. So hopefully these kids get spirits so they can have long lives but NGL I'm starting to miss the gang from the village and Milim...
It'll still take an episode or so more before we see the gang again. And you're almost done with the first season, hooray! lol

Wow, congrats on watching all of that! That list makes me realize that I have A LOT to go even though I'm almost done w/ season 1 lol. I still think I'll catch up before season 3 ends since it's scheduled for 24 episodes πŸ™‚
It might seem like a lot of episodes, but after rewatching them, it feels like they're not really that many episodes.
LeenPhoenixRae Mar 18, 9:00 PM
They make electric bikes or ebikes now which are very popular down here but that's kind of cheating unless you also pedal. You could always start on a stationary bike and then work your way to a regular bike, its a lot of fun and some good exercise. Down here there are bike/walking trails next to the beach which makes it more fun, plus the destination is usually somewhere that has beer/food/desserts :p
Those electric ones are useless, IMO. You're not really doing any exercises when you use those lol And I used to go on stationary bikes when I felt like going to the gym, but with my knee problems, I kinda try not to strain myself at all if possible lol

Haha, it sounds like you're describing Wrong Way to use Healing Magic. Who knows why they dragged Rose's backstory over 2 episodes but it did mess up the pace, 1 episode should've been enough or they could've spread it out earlier or something.
Hahaha it's not just that series, but a few other series I've seen before. It feels like a damn freaking filler episode that could've been wrapped up in a single flashback episode, but noooooooo, they gotta drag it on for as long as possible.

Aw, that's a shame you've dropped it, let me know if you want my thoughts on the finale which I believe will be this upcoming Friday.
Summarize it up for me, and who knows, maybe I might be intrigued enough to pick up where I left off and actually watch it lol

On a side note, I noticed an upcoming anime that has the same character designs as Sasaki and it's called Salad Bowl of Eccentrics and since I liked the character designs in Sasaki, plus this one looks interesting enough, I added it to my PTW list. It starts airing in early April, any interest in that one?
It sounds...well, intriguing, but since the princess from another world ends up living with MMC, I'm starting to have this harem-ish feeling that she'll be a love interest and they'll focus on their so-called developing feelings for each other and annoy the heck outta me coz others would want to jump in on the bandwagon and get together with the MMC, competing against this isekai'd princess from another world lol (or I'm just being way too cynical when it comes to M/F leads lol)

That anime was my favorite for last year and I'm using the MMC as my avatar, it was really good IMO. Any reason why you're not interested in it?
I guess the idol-ish part and...well, the drama that I sensed was involved in the series. I don't mind watching some idol-centric anime, but I want it to be lighthearted, fun, easygoing and not peppered with a few characters' personal problems lol

Ok now that you mentioned it I believe you have previously told me this but because I have 0 interest in BL I think I moved on and forgot about it lol. What else did you write fan-fiction for besides Harry Potter and MHA?
I wrote a few crossover ones that featured Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, NCIS (yes, I managed to cross it over with a non-supernatural series lol), Castle (another non-supernatural series lol), Arrow, the Flash & I think at one point I even wrote a crossover fic featuring characters from the Twilight movies (I read the books and watched the movies). Oh yeah, I also wrote a fanfic for the series the Pretender, it was shown late 90s/early 2000s and I liked the whole child prodigy conspiracy/suspense feel the series brought. I even wrote some Doctor Who fanfics too. I think I wrote a Supernatural and Smallville fics as well. Like what I said, I dabbled in writing fanfiction a few years ago, but I think they were mostly Harry Potter-centric. And I often paired the least-canon pairings together: Draco Malfoy & Ginny Weasley πŸ₯°πŸ˜πŸ˜œ

About SLF, the most recent episode had Sunraku fight a Lich boss and while I thought the action was pretty good I felt that could've ended the fight quicker because since it took most of the episode they didn't leave room for much else. So now I think it will end without Sunraku's weapon being made let alone Bilac becoming the ancient craftsman. At least the ending was funny with Emul telling Sunraku to not get into trouble since he dismissed both of them and of course he runs off to fight those scorpions. I think he might get into a bind and will be banged up, what did you think of this episode?
It was a fun episode. And I was amused that they started it off with both Emul & Bilac hitching a ride on Sunraku's shoulders lol I was wondering why Bilac wasn't on him in the previous episode. We know Emul already claimed her perch on Sunraku's shoulder a long time ago, but I didn't think he'd mind another furry bunny perching on his shoulder and enjoying the benefits of his miasma-repelling stat lol And I knew before they even parted ways that Sunraku planned on battling those crystal scorpions, but he'd rather do it without Emul and maybe Bilac telling him he was crazy or something lol

What I meant by the title of this series being a spoiler itself is more in hindsight because looking back now it sounds like it is a spoiler but only in hindsight.
I see. Well, I don't really understand coz it seemed right, like what I said, for someone else to say the title when referring to how Usato's using his powers. Hindsight or not lol So I can't comprehend why you said on hindsight it is a spoiler. Given how the story's progressing and how Usato's developing his powers, it is a given that the title is clearly meant for him.

Haha, yeah agreed πŸ˜… but honestly my biggest reason for delaying reading these mangas is prioritizing my time with my different interests. I'm actually glad to say that next season I have about 17 PTW animes which is down from around 22 this season, and down from 27 2 seasons ago so that will give me more time to watch older animes and read some more mangas (at least in theory :P )
That's nice, scaling it down to the teens instead of over a dozen lol I don't even know how many series this coming season I have in my PTW list, and usually I end up not even watching half of what I put in there lol

Ok then that is a series you had previously mentioned because I remember you saying you bought all existing volumes, read them in a day (or maybe 2) and was left wanting more lol. Let me know how that series pans out when it airs which I think is in July.
For sure. Not sure up to which volume of the manga they'll use in the series. That's what I'm curious to know.

Haha, you're making her sounds both cute and mean at the same time lol but yeah around Rimuru she is submissive, it's amazing how he was able to get her under control since she's crazy powerful. Speaking of which, I just watched ep. 20 and Milim left early on in the episode to take care of "demon lord work" whatever that means.
That's because she is! lol And she has other matters to attend to as a demon lord. She is like Rimuru who manages a land and people living in said land, like Carrion, the beast master, he is the ruler of E-something (can't remember the kingdom's name lol).

Yeah I know demon lords are supposed to be powerful but when that guy merged himself with Charybdis it was mentioned that his power would rival that of a demon lord but it sounds like within demon lords there's different levels of power. Also thanks again for restraining yourself from giving out more spoilers since it must be tough lol.
Phobio is one of the strongest amongst Demon Lord Carrion's men. And Charybdis is a catastrophe class monster, fusing himself with a powerhouse like that could sure rival any and all demon lords, but since he is inferior to Carrion, Milim was able to KO him in just one go. And I think depending on how long a being's been around, their mana level depends on their experience/lifespan level too, as with everything else that involves ranking and overpowering other beings.

More on ep. 20, Rimuru had a dream about Shizu's regret so we see her in a flashback and he ended up going to the captial city where he met another summoned guy named Yuuki whom he ended up making a couple hundred mangas for lol. Btw, one of the 5 students looks very similar to Shizu, or rather a very young Shizu, Chloe, did you notice that? Also, Veldora reacted to the students which I found interesting and thinking it over it makes me wonder if one of them has reincarnated a 2nd time, if that makes sense.
Chloe is an intriguing one. Perhaps she is a decendant from Shizu's branch of the family hence why she looks like her. I never really paid much attention to this arc as I found it boring. I had to rewatch some episodes when I did my re-watching just to remind myself exactly what happened to refesh my memory lol

I also wanted to show a list of what I need to watch for this series that I found on the forums and wanted to see if you've seen everything on this list:

That's the order, and I've seen all of the episodes/seasons listed there. So now I'm pumped up for the start of season 3 😁😝
It’s time to ditch the text file.
