Knew it. They've only covered, what, 15+ chapters so far out of 110+ chapters available. Being a manga reader, I have no idea where they'll end the first season. But this is certainly good news.

yep i dropped watching this anime because its too slow guess ill have to read the manga for fast development of the story

what it shoudl get is a remake with a faster pace and isn't locked down with a number it should just get an open number like one piece or naruto or bleach or fairy tail

Slow.... paced? What are you talking about?! This thing was fast paced as heck. It simply took time to show the struggles along the way!

Anyway I sure as hell can't wait, just finished season one after 2 straight days of watching it xD

Most of the manga readers complaining about the pace actually think the pace is great, they're just concerned that the whole thing won't get animated. I read the manga and I think the first season was paced brilliantly. I hope it stays the same speed and eventually goes to 100+ episodes.

well i think it will go on for more seasons. It was a anime that i think alot of studios would want to get so they had to get it early. And bakuman isnt the type of anime you want to have fillers in. So if they go by seasons im fine with it.

In this case, I think the only sponsors were the broadcaster (NHK) and the manga publisher (Shogakuukan), which means that DVDs were at most a secondary factor.

The show was never aimed at the collector's market, and the budget reflected this.

Im not surprised.

Well, I, for one, am really surprised at this news. If I remember correctly, the first BD volume didn't even sell 700 copies so how is it possible that they announced a second season with this horrible sales?

Same here, I just think the pace was really fine, thought at some points of the season it got slowly, I read the manga before watching and I liked it, thought sometimes we can't see the pace of a story on a manga because it's how the pannels are shown, so on anime it may change a bit but still it gets interesting as the story flows, just like in the manga, I think that it's really good, cannot wait to see the second season =) and also, yes it some chapters the quality didn't got me impressed but I just hope they fix it a little during second season >.<

what you guys failed to understand is that its not easy for a highschooler to become a mangaka that easy/fast. it takes time and work.

Same here, I haven't read the manga. So I think the pace of the anime is actually really good. Not slow, but not fast. We get to see the characters mature as they go on with life. Which I'm really excited about, getting to see the life of both the main characters.

And besides, aren't most anime that follow the orginal manga like that? Naruto, Bleach, One Piece etc. have a really slow pace in the anime.

Oh..Can't wait for the 2nd season!
