I think some of the characters are similar, like: Tohru-Mitsuki Rin-Madoka Kyo-Takuto
reportRecommended by WellFancyThat
Both are by Arina Tanemura, so: shoujo, romance, magic, comedy.
Mitsuki and Maron are also quite similiar.
Full Moon has much more drama and painful, touching situations, while KKJ is more light-hearted.
KKJ is nice, but Full Moon is way better.

Both animes are centered around girls who really want to sing, and become able to by magical means.
reportRecommended by himenokokoro
Both are about females who love singing and have dreams of singing to find a boy from their childhood.
reportRecommended by takutolove
Both are from the same author. The main character in both stories drink a pill to change their age and become artists. In Full Moon she turns older to become a singer and in 31 ai dream she turns younger to become a model.
reportRecommended by krynger20
Same manga-ka, both have a little magic though I like full moon better.
reportRecommended by krynger20
Full Moon is a lot longer than As the God of Death Dictactes... but they both have the same plot. A girl is scheduled to die and is able to see the Shinigami that's to take her spirit. Also there is a love triangle involved with the stories.
reportRecommended by Nyx23
Cute art, cute girls, cute character designs, guardian "angel" type beings and are reads that can be done in a day or so.
reportRecommended by Disapeared_Ghost
it's a almost the same story except in full moon she want to be a singer and in kitchen princess she wants to be a chef to be honest at first i thought the mangaka of this was arina the drawings look the same as hers but there both still really good
reportRecommended by Mijoo-Chan
Both have a female lead with a really bad illness and also both have lots of romance in it as well too, and really nice art and character designs too.
reportRecommended by Disapeared_Ghost
The best and most mature works of Arina Tanemura.
Expect the usual gorgeous and shiny art, love triangles, tsundere guys, sexy kisses, and the drama-romance-comedy mix.
Full Moon is overall better than SDC for its plot and realism, but both manga are truly enjoyable and good, have a nice cast of characters, and have some really touching chapters/scenes.
reportRecommended by RenaPsychoKiller
Both are supernatural themed shoujo that focus on a ya cast and a mc being caught up into some strange events and also a side of romance in it as well too and also lots of cute art and character designs as well too.
reportRecommended by Disapeared_Ghost
Both have a young female lead dream achievements, somberness as well as also cute art and character designs.

Full Moon wo Sagashite and Fairy Idol Kanon are two manga series that focus on the main protagonist befriending a fantasy being who uses their magic to turn them into an idol. The girl has to deal with the harshness of the music industry, with a rival who wants to ruin her career. Full Moon wo Sagashite is longer and much darker than Fairy Idol Kanon, though.

- Magic - Dense main character (girl) - "cool" main male

Both girls aim to be singer. However, Mitsuki's grandmother and doctor won't let her audition because she has a sarcoma in her throat, which is only curable through surgery but it could ruin her vocal cords. Until one day, 2 shinigami called Takuto and Meroko visited her and told her that she only has 1 year left to live. Mitsuki realizes that she has to become a singer before she dies so she ran away from home. The shinigamis stopped her. Takuto transformed her to a healthy 16 year old girl which allows her to enter the audition. Mitsuki passed the audition. Now, Mitsuki's new read more

Ascendance of a Bookworm and Full Moon wo Sagashite are two manga series with a young and passionate female main character and some very cute artwork. The main character in both series really love something (books in Ascendance and music in Full Moon), but due to their age and very sickly nature (as well as due to the time setting in Ascendance's case), her family often limits her to staying at home and doesn't understand her interests. Ascendance isn't as tragic/dark as Full Moon, though.

Nijiro Prism Girl and Full Moon wo Sagashite are two shojo manga that feature a 12 year old girl who gets involved in the entertainment industry. Both Nijika and Mitsuki have a dead mother and pretend to be 16 years old in order to pursue their respective careers.
reportRecommended by Fario-P
A good mix of love and tragedy, happiness and depression are the best points of both series! Even if both protagonists (both cute by the way) have problems with their life and family, they are never in a bad mood, and keep following their dreams always with a smile! And this is exactly what make they find their love story! Both stories show how a positive vision of life can change the world and people around you. A true lesson for all. And, if you cares about the art, they are really close, with big beautiful eyes and shiny hairs! (sorry my bad english >.<)

Kirarin Revolution and Full Moon wo Sagashite are about a girl becoming an idol and learning about show business through their career. There's romance, some rivalry, a campaign between the main character and their rival that ends up as a competition, and a cat that follows the main character around. Full Moon is more darker than Kirarin, though.
reportRecommended by Fario-P
Kobato and Full Moon wo Sagashite are two manga with beautiful art and some fantasy elements that may not seem obvious at first. The main character is a relatively young and/or innocent girl who is followed by at least one talking animal plushie companion (a dog in Kobato, and a cat and bunny in Full Moon) that are not what they seem. There is a surprisingly large amount of of characters in both series (not just the main characters) that have some amount of backstory and drama to them, making both some unexpectedly sad and/or dark stories.
reportRecommended by Fario-P
Both involve a young, naive, and headstrong girl who is able to transform into an older and more beautiful version of herself with certain limitations. Because the girl is so naive she gets into trouble when she is her older self and sometimes has to be saved by her male love interest. There are also much more dark and complicated side plots going on at the same time that involve supernatural beings.

Full Moon wo Sagashite and Prétear are two beautifully drawn manga series that tackle a subgenre of the magical girl genre, as Full Moon is a magical girl idol series, while Prétear is a magical girl warrior series. The main character in both series get their magic power from a male character (more than one in Prétear's case). Both contain drama, some romance, and darker themes.
reportRecommended by Fario-P
In both stories a cute girl meets two strangers from another world, there's a love triangle involved in both only in Full Moon wo Sagashite it isn't as obvious to the main character, both very good stories, both have Animes and if you liked Mamotte! Lollipop? you'll like Full Moon wo Sagashite
reportRecommended by Bunnybunbun17
Mistress Fortune and Full Moon wo Sagashite are two shojo manga series made by Arina Tanemura about a magical girl who can transform (though Full Moon features a magical girl idol instead of a magical girl fighter like in Mistress Fortune). Since they are made by the same author, fans of Tanemura will likely enjoy either one as they have beautiful artwork and some sad parts (Mistress Fortune is shorter in length and more light-hearted though).
reportRecommended by Fario-P
Both main characters are (well, in kamikami she acts like it) little girls who can transform into a really pretty older girl. They are both trapped inside their house until they finally manage to get out.
reportRecommended by creamofturtle
The stories and the main character are very simillar. These stores are about someone who want to be a singer. In both are romance, in Full moon there are more drama and fantasy.
reportRecommended by baby120
Although these two are very different (FM is more focused on fantasy, while TJN is more of a gender bender) they both have the most adorable, romantic stories. Also, both look at showbiz and what it takes to follow your dreams. . .
reportRecommended by as3
Both series have a supernatural aspect and timid heroins that need to learn to fight for their dreams. plus, both are just sweet stories with comedy, sadness and romance
reportRecommended by as3
Although these two stories have little in common, they still seem very alike. I know that's not very helpful, but both stories are really great. If you are looking for something romantic, magical and sweet, these two stories are must reads!!!
reportRecommended by as3
The stories have very different feels to them, and the characters are very different too, but both are interesting and unique mangas about characters pursuing careers in music. Though NC has a more mature story.
reportRecommended by as3
both are about young girls who hide their age to get into the show business
reportRecommended by gaarasbff
well they(Rena and Mitsuki) both have a secret, which only few people know. There's romance as well but i'm not going to say too much about it.
reportRecommended by LilAngelKitty
They both are romantic shoujos, with a love triangle, one is to help the main female protagonist. Both have their moments and the main female character is named Mitsuki.
reportRecommended by LilAngelKitty
These two manga are similar due to the fact that they both consists of Cute, Trasfomation, and have Mini Companions. :D

sweet love stories and main female characters are similar in both

Two really sweet enterntainment-related stories. great romance, and a girl determined to make it big
reportRecommended by as3
In both, the main character is a girl with a disease and both have a goal before they die. In FMS, she wants to see her boyfriend, who went to America, by fulfilling the promise she made. In TYS, she wants to live long enough to see the snow again.
reportRecommended by queenofautumn
Both involve a girl becoming older to do something that she wants to do. Both also have to keep that ability a secret.
reportRecommended by sakura421
the ending concept is similar
reportRecommended by BlasianAngel
just like Mitsuki, Mitsu is also transformed into an adult with a kiss by a vampire, though it's not about showbiz it is as exciting and fun like Full moon wo sagashite!
reportRecommended by cheropteran
Both are about human girls that get involved with two friendly gods. Romance develops between a god and the girl which brings about complications.
reportRecommended by lujsy
Two sweet love stories with singing involved, though WM is better, NRS is also worth a read
reportRecommended by as3
Full moon wo sagashite is another great manga of Arina, wich like KKJ became an anime later. Like all of arina's works, very romantic and cute.
reportRecommended by ZetaiSabishii
In both there´s a shinigami who shares a strong relationship with the main girl.
reportRecommended by Orulyon
In both mangas, the heroines are looking for guys who have supported them in the past when they were young (i.e. Haru-san in Orange Planet & Eichi-kun in Full Moon wo Sagashite) but Full Moon wo Sagashite has more drama.
