Both deal with a team of people sent out to fight against an alien threat that is constantly becoming stronger. They both also constantly drive home the fact that "no one is safe." Lots of balls to the wall awesome moments as well.

Humans fighting a losing battle against monsters, both titles contain a factor of mystery pertaining to the monsters, and there is plenty of gore and death.

Humans fighting monsters by transforming into semi-monster forms, plenty of monster on human and monster on monster violence in both titles

Terra Formars and Arcahnid has unorthodox ideas involving species that are non-human. However, there's a similarity that both series share - the creatures in their story has insectoid traits. While their settings are different, there is the survival horror theme as the story evolves. The main characters gets into conflicts with a variety of the creatures they encounter while maintaining struggle to survive.

In both stories there is gore, and great battles, but if I choose I would stay touch with Terra formars

Both series that write information on rare species or extinct species of animals and make them into a plot device.

Both of these manga feature a humanoid species - one that is quite close to humans, except for one detail - rather than descending from apes, they descended from other animal (cockroach/squirrel). The discovery of this species then leads to conflict between said species and humanity.

Cockroaches are a huge obstacle in the lives of the characters in these manga. They literally go all-out in trying to kill these bugs, but somehow the fighters themselves are injured or killed. <>Terra Formars: Horror, survival; Gokiburi Buster: Comedy

In both stories, small insects (either cockroaches or mosquitoes) have grown and evolved into bizarre and ugly beings that overpower normal humans. Both of them form a threat to humankind not only because of that, but also due to their enormous number. *Both of them are extinction-survival stories, with lots of bloody scenes and deaths to be expected. *In both stories the strongest fighters have combined the non-human genetic material into their own bodies to grow stronger. <> Terra Formars' art is more appealing than Mosquito War's art.

Both of these manga focus on the main cast fighting inhuman monsters that are beyond their means of beating in a one on one fight, the main character of each series is also a muscle headed loveable goofball that just wants to do the right thing for the people he's trying to protect. Both of these series are set in very isolated places that really set a sense of urgency and dread that makes you fear for the main cast, even the unlikeable cast members in each respectable series bring a little something to the table at times. These series are the epitome of humans  read more

These two manga have a different setting, but they do have a similar feeling to them. They are both filled with manly action that will keep your testosterone pump up. You have muscular characters that use superhuman powers to fight other powerful enemies. Not to mention these titles are very violent too. They have enough action to keep you entertained.

Cute humanoid cockroaches make their way to see the whole world and befriend with humans... Though a bit different ways...

great fights and similar death around the corner feeling

These manga involve battling against alien invaders while our heroes gradually lose their humanity in their pursuit of justice. The science fiction presented in these graphic novels are the greatest strength of the authors' writing.

They both share the common theme of a desperate struggle against a overwhelming, inhuman enemy.

Both stories are about a character that transforms to a more powerful form to be able to fight mutants overwhelmingly more powerful than humans. Plenty of violence and gore in both titles as well.
reportRecommended by AfterGlow
Survival horror with monsters where both main casts have the means to engage the enemy but must flee because of unfavorable odds.

Dark, gritty titles with loads of violence, gore and monsters fighting humans. Terra Formars has a sci-fi setting though.

If you liked HXH's Chimera Ant arc in particular and want something else like that, Terra Formars is a similar idea with humans fighting mutated roaches on Mars, enhanced by insect DNA.

Have a sense of the same story in which there are people who have to survive in a place and with particular strength for each individual. The only big difference is just the type of enemy they fight.

Imagine this, the fate of humanity is laying in the hands of a single group of people who have to destroy if before it has the chance to destroy us. Sound pretty interesting and stunning no? Well that is exactly what both of these manga are about. These groups of people re becoming stronger by the day which is goo because they are the only hope we have left. If you like these kind of dark and mysterious settings, then you should give these manga a try!

Taking place in a fictional world, Green Worldz and Terra Formars delivers survival horror with dangerous monsters that threatens humanity. Both series adapts plenty of graphic violence and action as the main characters battles to survive. Among some of the main characters, a few of them also display inhuman traits. Both series also takes place in a future setting where technology is more superior than our own.

- Dark and mature themed. - These people transformed first before going into 'fighting mode'. - The origin of these so called 'mutant' or 'hybrid' strength related to the ability of an animal they mutated into. - Sometimes there was also some kind of narration which explain random animal throughout the series.
