There is a shinobi, called Kagetora in both manga, who falls in love with the one he has to protect, so it's a forbidden love. There are a few differences though. Kagetora is shounen, while Shinobi Life is shoujo, but they're both romance anime. And in Shinobi Life, there's time traveling. They're both very good and if you like Kagetora, you'll like Shinobi Life too.

The male leads in both are unadjusted to normal life but find themselves living around those not accustomed to times of war. They swear to protect the respective heroines from all threats and hilarity ensues as their lack of understanding/common sense creates more problems than it solves. FMP is aimed at males and, as a result, has MUCH more comedy in its romance than shoujo series Shinobi Life does. Only the early parts of SL are comparable, though - in fairness - FMP itself does go in a darker, more drama-oriented direction itself, as its story progresses.

Imagine having a ninja or a famous warrior travel through time and become your boyfriend, these shoujos let you see the trials these heros go through and troubles of the modern age that they encounter in this time period. Shinobi Life has a complex plot as they keep going back and forth in time, while the warriors in Sengoku may never be able to return to theirs. If you like the idea of a Kagetora or a famous warrior as a boyfriend read these.

Besides the obvious ninja connections, they both have similar ambiences and have a lot of action, betrayal, and mystery, alongside a ninja who's in love with his master.

I was simply reminded of shinobi life while reading akaki tsuki. They both have the traditional Japanese style. Both heroines have similar personalities, but the main males are different.

If you like Shinobi Life, try Nisei no Chigiri - both have to do with someone traveling through time to the time of the sengoku and shinobis with the political intrigues of that time period.

Both mangas have similar themes dealing with lower class men falling for princesses. In Shinobi Life, a ninja, Kagetora, falls in love with Princess Beni, but because of their statuses and such, they cannot be together. He ends up meeting the Beni of the future, a distant ancestor to the princess. Similiarly, in Joou no Hana, Hakusei vows to protect and serve Princess Aki for the rest of his life as it is the least he can do because of both his status and appearance. Both characters pledge to serve and protect their princess and both end up falling in love with them.

Time traveling romance manga in Japan.

Both are romance-shoujo mangas with extra twists, in Apothecarius Argentum He is a royal pharmacist whose touch is poisonous, in Shinobi life there is time travel and ninjas. in both the male leads try to protect the female leads and the female lead also have strong characters but are daughter of powerful fathers(whose wives are dead) and thus they need protection.

In Shinobi Life, we have a romance with time travel and a complex plot, while in Yoshiwara Hana Oboro, we have a girl time traveling to the past. These shoujos have romances were the lovers are connected in the past and then time travel connects them again, both also have mysteries they need to solve.

Shinobi Life and Akagami no Shirayuki-Hime adapts a similar premise involving a prominent female character who gets themselves involved in complicated matters. Their adventure lands them in a world where they make concrete bonds with others. Thus, expect relationship building between her and various characters that portrays a wide range of emotions. Both series' world fiction also adapts fantasy elements although Shinobi Life has more historical context while Akagami leans more towards shoujo. Also expect romance to develop over the course of both series as we learn more about the main characters. Recommended for fans of fictional adventure.

Both have something about time travelling. Shinobi Life has many times where there are time travelling for past to present, present to past. While Crazy Girl Shin Bia is a girl where also went to the past and was stuck there. Like the shinobi life, there's romance! Both are shoujo manga. Difference is that one is japanese manga while the Crazy Girl Shin Bia is korean. (^_^)

A servant-master romance. The girl who's the master is emotionally depressed while her servant is obedient, submissive and loyal to an unhealthy extent.

Both have ninjas that traveled through time and landed in present day and they mission is to protect their princesses

Despite the contrast in their setting, Shinobi Life and Sekai wa Utsukushii (The World is Still Beautiful) has an appealing theme of fantasy. Both series includes a lot of relationship developments especially for the two main leads. There is also a good amount of romance focus later on in the story as we see them tackle on challenges and learn more about each other. Both series crafts shoujo fantasy with charming comedy as well.

both include time travel, however the time travel in toki wo kakeru shoujo is within the present time.

First off, I'll state that these two manga (Shinobi Life and Kamisama Hajimemashita) are in my top ten of all time... thus I may be biased. =) But, if you feel the same, read on: What they have in common: - The stories both revolve around the couple and their developing relationship. - Both girls in each story have the male as the protecting figure. In the case of Shinobi it's obviously a ninja, and in the case of Kamisama a fox demon. - Both girls in each story have trouble adapting to the lifestyle of their male counterpart. - Both stories have wonderful art, coming  read more

Both are nice to read shoujo. Both have time travels. Even protagonists are very similar with looks and characters too, especially heroine's.

The art is similar and the cute love between the main leads. I definately recommend either one. :) They can hint a little smut! ;( Wish there were smut but it still leaves you satisfied with romance!

Female protagonist who always gets kidnapped + handsome guy who becomes her bodyguard = action and subtle romance.

These two are just similar - some mystery, a rebelling girl who is being protected and more

Both tell of a love story between a girl from the present, and a boy from a time long ago. Though Shinobi life is more drawn out, the stories are based on the same idea.

Time travel and royalty and romance and some mystery - both stories have it

Both are stories about shinobis though Tsuki no Shippo is less serious and based on comedy.

Both girls have hot guys who are swearing on their lives to protect them... kind of different, but both have strong heroines and lots of lovely romantic scenes (:

Both have a guy caught in between two girls who look alike - one from the past and one from the present. Inuyasha has more adventure but both have their share of fighting and romance. Oh and not to mention time traveling.

What they have in common: - The stories both revolve around the couple and their developing relationship. - Both girls in each story have the male as the protecting figure, and they're both ninja-esque. - Both couples have complications arising from a difference in "status." - Both stories have wonderful art, coming from someone who's very picky, and the bishies are lovely. Differences: - While they both have humor elements, Shinobi (in comparison) is a bit darker than Arakure.

The setting may not be the same, cause Shinobi Life involves a lot of ninjas, wars and revenge. But both manga involves about knowing the past and future. In Mekakushi no kuni, the three protagonists have the powers to see the past and future whereas Shinobi life involves a magical hole that takes the protagonists back and forth to the future. Both the romance, drama and the artwork for these mangas are amazing and so well-thought. and I think the relationship and the situation that the (three) lead characters share in these mangas are very similar.

Just what is forbidden love? Is it a type of love that is society unacceptable? Just how would one describe such love? Well it really depends on the couple but surely it is never a smooth road. It may be described as a painful road, but does that necessarily mean unhappiness? If they can get their families and friends to accept them as it is the only way for true happiness, who cares about what strangers think. The heroines share a similar background where they lost their mother, and is in somewhat of a conflict with their father, as they never got the chance to  read more

Firstly, they both deal with time travel issues more or less. Secondly, both have hot boys who guard main character. And finally, their stories focus on past and people with some abilities. If to throw all this away, they both are a real dessert for your eyes. Read them both, you won't regret it.

They're both about a guy who becomes a girl's bodyguard and they fall in love. Both of they're romances are not accepted by somebody of power in their lives but they dont give up.

Time slip!, but Shinobi life is a time a slip from the future town to the past town. and in Let's Lagoon is a time slip in an Island
