Synopsis

A rather morbid, sombre manga about two high school students - Kamiyama Itsuki and Morino Yoru - who have a peculiar interest in death; especially in murders that are committed close to them. Due to their strong fascination with murder and highly-developed analytical skills (along with some luck), they manage to solve the murders that have eluded even the authorities. Often, it is Kamiyama that solves the bulk of the crimes, down to the smallest of details. But there's only one thing he is interested in; by which method should Morino be killed.

Goth - short, mystery, psychological, horror manga. The title alone sounds pretty intriguing.

Goth is a story about two students who are basically obsessed with death and murder cases. These students, Yoru Morino and Itsuki Kamiyama, don't initially talk to each other in school. After a brief encounter, they realize how much they have in common. Yoru usually ends up getting involved with some murderer and Kamiyama ends up either solving the case or making a fool of the criminal.

Art - I actually really liked the art. It was straight-forward and very easy to interpret, and I think that type of style was a read more

Fair warning: Know what your getting with this manga. Its not so much scary as it is filled with gore [literally it shows mutilated bodies/body parts]. The horror classification falls more with personalities of the characters.

I thought it was good but not amazing.
I don’t read much of this genre but I'm into horror/psychological movies and things like that.I read something similar to this beforehand too. If my reading order had been reversed I'm sure I would have found this more fascinating.

It’s about two students who have an interest in death and murder. They take interest in several cases of serial killings in the general area. read more

Simply beautiful artistic skills and amazing plot.Though it's only one volume,it's making your heart beat with every second, while you enter into the world of darkness.

At first it was a novel,byOtsu-ichi,later adapted into manga(Kendi Oiwa)
The story follows two high-school students, who are fascinated by murder.Somehow,Yoru Morino, one of the main characters,is like an atraction to the 6 murder cases she is solving with Itsuki Kamiyama, her classmate.

Goth is a horror/mystery manga which in my opinion is one of those kind of manga that are so bad that they're actually good (!)...So if you enjoy mysteries and splatter and if you don't mind how unrealistic and full of plot holes the story is ,then you'll probably enjoy it.

Story : 8
As I said the story had quite a few plot holes ,but I personally chose to ignore them and enjoy the craziness of the story...I think the plot is interesting in its own way and I believe it's worth reading

Art : 7
The art was mediocre, but it didn't really bother me

Manga: Usotsuki Mii-kun to Kowareta Maa-chan: Totteoki no Uso
I think they have very a similar dark atmosphere and I'm convinced that if you liked GOTH you're probably gonna like Lying Mii-kun and Broken Maa-chan. (and btw they're both manga-adaptations of novels)

Manga: Fetish
Both are very twisted episodic horror stories adapted from a novel. While Fetish is about a boy who has a strong liking to injured women, Goth is about a boy who fantasizes about committing murders in gruesome ways and a girl who likes to see people suffer before they die.

Manga: Tajuu Jinkaku Tantei Psycho
They're both about serial murder cases and someone who solves them. Also both are gory and show mutilated corpses. However, MPD Psycho has a more complicated story.

Manga: Fraction
Though the motives are different, both manga feature a man and a woman who play detective in order to find serial killers. Goth is deeply psychological with a dark atmosphere and creepy scary. Fraction is psychological and borders on guro. The detective work is sound and the result is shocking. The author's narrative intervention in Fraction is a fresh take. Fraction makes you look at the principles of crime fiction. Both are disturbing in their own way.
