 The official Gundam portal website has announced that ONA series Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt will get a second season slated for Spring 2017. It is based on the manga that is drawn by Yasuo Ohtagaki, which has been serialized in Big Comic Superior since March 2012. The first anime adaptation was a four-episode series by Kou Matsuo that was streamed online between December 2015 and April 2016. The series received a theatrical director's cut in June 2016. | No matter how dull and empty/vain I found it, it's good to see that what first looked like a short advertising campaign (4x15mn almost full of robots) for plamo and manga transformed into a possible real series. |

| Thunderbolt is the best Gundam is years. I mean Origin and Unicorn are great too, but there is just something so visceral and raw about Thunderbolt, other Gundam series just pale in comparison. |
