| I've read the light novel, it's pretty thrilling. I hoped that ABe would draw it, his art is pretty dark and will go well with the events of the novel, but I can also imagine Obata's drawing style to be good too. Hopefully this will give a chance for it to get an Anime adaptation, the action is really thrilling, just by imagining it. |

| So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old? I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

Neither does Slum Online (another novel by the same author) yet they are classed as light novels. The Lord of the Sands of Time is the same length and is published (in English) by the same company and also doesn't have any illustrations inside yet it was rejected from MAL's database because apparently it's a "written novel" and not a light novel. |
