Episode 113 brianwuzhere said: Pitou didn't concern himself with Komugi's well-being back when the bird attacked her and the King entrusted Pitou to make sure something like that never happens again. However, this time, the result was much worse. He momentarily diverted his attention from Komugi when Netero and Zeno appeared, but in that short amount of time, he let down the King. I take this back after looking at the manga: http://www.mangahere.com/manga/hunter_x_hunter/v25/c268/6.html The anime left out the narration about Pitou unsure of why he was crying which brings me to the conclusion that he was just so honored that the King would bestow upon him such an important duty that it brought him to tears. Double Yo-Yo Headshot! The narrator said "bordering" on fanaticism LOL. I think we're clearly past that point already. And then, Morel shows up like Yo, Even Thugs Cry. |

Episode 113 This battle has been pretty epic so far. We have saw Youpi unleash his power and I'm excited to see Pouf's power unleashed. It seems strange that Moral is taking him 1-on-1 while pretty much everyone contributed to the battle with Youpi. Also, I thought that Knuckle and Meleoron were just trying to get passed Youpi, but they are still hanging around the fight. |

Episode 113 @Yoshi: I think they collaborated so that Morel could leave and do his task of taking on Pouf. It wasn't really a fight yet, I doubt Youpi is finished anytime soon. Remember that their plan was to separate the royal guards from the king and take them on 2v1 each. Only Morel's partner got grey hair now, lol. It's not like Knuckle and Meleoron could do much against the king, I think the invisibility was there to place his ability on Youpi, and maybe more to come. Anyway, pretty intense episodes. They just go by so fast lately. |
I probably regret this post by now. |

Yeah, I had forgot about their 2v1 planning. I thought that Meleoron's ability was the key to taking down the king. Maybe they are just going to use him to place Knuckle's ability on the King as well, to weaken him a bit. It seems to me like everyone is at a disadvantage in their fights and I have no idea how they are going to take everyone down. That is a good thing though. The less predictable the better. |

That's a terrible shame, may he rest in peace. Episode 114 Loved the violin that accompanied Pouf's maniacal laughter and Shoot's "flight" was nicely done too. Gon's cheerfulness in the episode previews work in hilarious contrast to his current state of mind. xD |

Episode 114 Well, Shoot managed to take out one eye before reaching near death. Time to see if Knuckle can 1-up him, lol. Pretty excited to see Pouf's new form and some of his fighting abilities. Also, excited for the Gon x Pitou battle to get rolling. What I am most juiced for though, is seeing the King in a battle situation. Should be epic! |

Episode 115 Welfin's skepticism was fun to watch, but more importantly, we have finally arrived at the main event. |

Episodes 114&115 I agree, Welfins skepticism/borderline paranoia are fun to watch. But I can't wait for the Co-Main Event either (main event is the king's fight imo). |

Episode 115 Haha, Welfin has been smoking that good shit ;). Though, his skepticism is pretty accurate aside from suspecting Bravado of being in cahoots with Flutter (Ikalgo). I can't wait to see Gon go HAM on Pitou. This episode was pretty slow, but its doing a damn good job of building the anticipation for the fights. Also, Knuckle giving Youpi the finger was greatness! |

Episode 116 At the beginning of the episode I'm thinking, "Ok, there is no way Gon is going to do anything during the healing." It didn't take long for me to realize that this is an all new Gon. I seriously thought he was just going to obliterate both of them. I'm glad he didn't because that would have most definitely caused him to enter the "spiraling descent." Such an intense, "edge of your seat" episode. This could be the greatest arc I have ever watched in a series with multiple story arcs and it still has a ways to go before concluding. |

Episode 117 Lol @ "My time was compressed!" in the context of how "approximately three minutes have passed since the mission began". |

Episode 117 Figured Cheetu was about to kick the bucket. It didn't take long either, lol. I suppose his new power could have something to do with revival. I never thought he was very interesting anyway. This episode was ok. Clearly a set-up episode. Youpi going berserk was pretty crazy. Other than that, it was a slower episode. |

Episode 116 Damn, that was intense. You weren't the only one who wouldn't have been surprised if Gon decided to crush them after all. I think he should have taken a leg or something though, when he already offered it. Why should Pitou care about the promise after his job is done? |

Episode 117 Lol brian, yeah the '3 minutes have passed' thing reminded me of the Frieza arc in DBZ ^^. Youpi going berserk was definitely epic though and I can't wait to see more intense episodes like 116. |

Episode 117 The animations were a little weird when Youpi was going berserk. Cheetu was super useless, he got so much screen time and amounted to nothing, getting that kind of demise (similar to other ants). I guess he did keep Moral from being able to fight at 100%. Wondering how much he got paid for that 3 minutes, must've been very expensive if they couldn't hire him to help fight one of the guards... |

Episode 118 I liked the scenes with Ikalgo in his pursuit for Palm. I fear the worst for Palm. I really liked the battle between Knuckle and Youpi all the way up until the last minute save by Killua. I don't mind at all that Killua saves Knuckle, but kind of wished they wouldn't have used the shounen cliche "last second before death save." It just takes a bit away from Knuckle and Youpi's battle. Its all good though. Hunter x Hunter has done a good job of not overusing shounen cliches. You just can't avoid them all :P. Looking forward to Killua x Youpi. It should be epic!! |

Ep 118 The "last minute" part with knuckle was fantastic, really at the edge of my seat expecting him to die but nope. I think it takes away from the overall scene that he was saved with the shounen cliche as yoshi mentioned but I'm glad he's alive, I like knuckle. The part where he punches him and then runs cheering, I was like o/ you go man. I didn't expect Youpi to be so smart, thought he would be the brainless powerhouse but I am glad he's not. Hopefully Killua will be able to outsmart him a little and do some more damage to add to the interest. I feel like since Kullua is away from Gon, Gon is gona lose it and attack faster than he said he will. This is sure to have some very negative effects in the future that Killua left Gon when Gon is like that. Pouf makes a great escape, completely fooling Morel, I can't wait to see how that unfolds. I really hope that Palm contributes to something, even if she is dead. It would have been such a waste to kill her off without having her do something meaningful. I, myself, doubt that she is dead. |

Episode 118 I agree, I'm not too happy about using the last-minute cliché here, but in the end it didn't really diminish my enjoyment of the episode. The Ikalgo party were more exciting than I had thought and I'm really looking forward to Pouf and Morel and what they'll do for the rest of the invasion. |

ep 119 Godspeed looked awesome but it only lasted like what 5 seconds. Ikalgo part was okay but I wanted to see more of the other things that were going on. It was nice to see that contrast of an ant now unable to kill compared to the ants in the beginning of the arc that were massacring everyone. |

Episode 120 I liked how the parallels of "there never was a real one" was used as an opening for Knuckle and lol @ Pouf's one-man army of trolls. With the way things have been progressing, I think Bizef's thought process during his piggyback ride contributes to the loss of faith in humanity. "If I'm captured by the federation, they'll force me to confess for a cover story and throw me in prison for life or they'll execute me, so I can't talk" doesn't sound very different from the cruel behavior of the ants at the beginning of the arc and Bizef, himself, was already a lost cause to begin with in regard to his "personal assistants". Zeno ended up attacking an innocent bystander, which was accidental, but doesn't help the argument for humanity either and made him question himself enough to call it quits. Most importantly, you have Gon who is so far gone (lol) that he can only be portrayed with cold, lifeless eyes at the moment and by extension, Killua reverting back to his primal instincts against Youpi to release the stress of possibly losing his best friend. Conversely, the ant king has become humanized through his love of Komugi and the royal guards have followed suit through their love for the king. Not to mention, Meleoron was overflowing with tears when he wasn't able to help Shoot and IkalBro is too afraid to really go in for the kill. Some interesting stuff here, Togashi. |

Episode 121 They told me I could be anything, so I became a centaur. "I can no longer think of him as a target to destroy. He acknowledged our efforts. He wasn't a bad guy. In that case, I no longer have any reason to defeat him" Again, Togashi's done a nice job of leveling the playing field thus far. Looks like Knov doing just swell. |

ep 121 Jeeze, that character development in Youpi. I really like how Knuckle saved Morel, it was very real and made me almost cry. The juxtaposition between Knuckle's feelings and Knov's thoughts on the situation was very well done. Knov made me rofl, the way he looked when he entered but I am glad he still came back and did what little he could do, in this case pretty big saving Morel's life. Good to see Gon taking charge, making the guards his bitch. I just hope he doesn't do anything stupid like kill the girl or get one of his friends killed. Can't wait to see the fight with the King and Netero |

Episode 121 Youpi had great development here. I'm not a Knuckle fan. Now he has no reason to fight Youpi simply because he acknowledged their efforts? He isn't a bad guy because he can acknowledge someone? Lol, Knuckle is so soft. Knov still shaking in fear and lost his hair now, lol. At least he is still trying to contribute. He has a very useful ability after all. I wonder how many more transformations Youpi will get? |

episode 122 Finally we get to see all those episodes of playing board games pay off (not that I didn't enjoy them). Great development. The strongest only being able to be persuaded by words, unheard of in shounen. That was perfect, how it was done. I like how things have changed so drastically. I find myself able to sympathize with the king and against Netero. Not only that, but the other guards have changed so much, just from an encounter or a fight. Togashi and his villains. This is some quality writing. Also I dont remember if it was last week or the week before, but Brian hinted this at me and I went back to figure it out but they gave some very big hints as to where our princess is at. Can't wait for that to be made clear to the rest of the characters. If you are confused as to what i'm talking about, its probably for the best. |

Episode 122 I can't wait to see the King go hard. I can't figure out how he is going to be defeated to be honest. He seems ridiculously strong. Was not a big fan of Netero's comment about the King wavering between being human and ant. He said they aren't compatible? What is up with that? They are literally working with Ants that have no problems with the balancing act. The King sounds like he has it down pretty good to me. People who are strong should use their strength to protect the weak. I can understand still having to defeat the King, but using his ant and human = no compatibility makes him sound speciesist (is that a word? :P). Anyway, great episode. So much tension and build-up. I really love the King's character in this show. It almost makes me want him to win, or at least find peace before his ultimate demise. I wish he'd defeat Netero for sure. |

The cooperation we've been seeing is merely the exception to the rule. In the grand scheme of things, the attitude of the person who hired Netero represents the majority and most of human society won't see the ants as anything more than dangerous creatures that need to be eradicated. Despite how humane they may actually be, they don't look any different from the insect that landed on the window glass. Netero, himself, is also wavering: "I must make this fast...before my heart is swayed" and he had already gained a respect for the King's love for life back in 112. So, I wouldn't say he's a speciesist, but rather, a realist. As someone born a century before this "damned newborn brat", he has the wisdom to recognize that the naivety of the King's idealism will never see the light of day. There's also the possibility that if Komugi (the reason for his newfound humanity) were to actually die this time, the "dangerous creature" inside the King may resurface and take full control. On another note, forcing your opponent to admit his surrender is a callback to the exam arc. |

Yeah, I hear ya. I triggered on Netero's comments and held them against him. Its one of those situations that the enemy needs to be defeated, but if things were a little different here and there, it could possibly be worked out more peaceful. Like you said, Netero definitely felt some compassion/understanding toward the King (to an extent), and felt a slight waiver. I don't know, I just have a problem with the eradication because society is scared and can only see them a certain way. I'm not disagreeing with defeating the King, but defeating him because an ant can't develop "humanity" is crossing into the bs zone. Not for the series itself, but for the characters who feel that way. I really hope they don't take this into mass extermination of all the ants. It should be very interesting how this all plays out. |

As I see it there's nothing wrong with Netero's comment about their incompatability. The king needs to decide on one of his 'species' sooner or later because they contradict each other. The human side wants to protect and lead while the ant side wants to conquer and submit everyone and 'select' the ones worthy of living. The two ants working with the humans have just chosen the human side of their heritage, while the rest is either wavering or focusing on their ant side. Trying to have them both surface at the same time is just a contradiction and that's what the king tries to do. Nothing speciest about pointing out a logical fallacy, imo. |

Episode 123 Yeah, those centipedes crawling around in his head was creeping me out a bit :P. They sure are doing a good job on me creating sympathy for some of the ants. Palm looked pretty badass. Episode 126 Holy shit!! Crazy episode. Netero was packing a sacrificial nuke! Netero was no match for Meruem nen v. nen, as I suspected. I wondered how in the hell they were going to defeat the King. Episode 126 Not sure if it's actually foreshadowing, but it feels worth noting. Back in 118, when Knuckle thought he was going to die at the hands of Youpi, the rose appeared. Then, there's how the fight begins with "This is an area used for testing weapons for war" and Knov returns to say "I received a message from the chairman's messenger. As planned, he was able to take the King to the appointed location." Other than that, this was one of the most well animated episodes of the series with nice, artsy shots (stand outs being the middle finger and Netero's creepy smile at the end) and the same great BGM from last week. Not to mention, the irony that humans may have more malicious intent than a so-called monster. This is what happens when Netero uses his right hand and left foot lol. |
