Episode 106 Agreed, watching Knov breakdown like that was incredible. Looking forward to the next fight. EDIT: LOL, must've been thinking about Kanetsugu. |

Lol brian, where did the 21 come from? xD Episode 106 Yup, that was very intense especially since Knov was usually so composed and confident. The way they're building up the strength of the royal guard (not to mention the king) I really wonder how they plan on defeating them given the fact we already have a general idea of the power level of most of the hunters involved and Knov is one of the top 3. |

Episode 107 Was getting deja vu during Palm's scene, almost as suspenseful as Knov's last week. Also, the fight was pretty good (lol tornave) and broctopus tears were shed. |

Episode 107 Awesome episode. I loved the fight and Morel in general is just a great character. He has this one ability but still wins every fight from a different angle. It really highlights that what makes a good hunter isn't his ability, but his brains and instincts on how to use it. Killua x Broctopus must also be one of my favorite enemy-turned-friend friendships. Gotta love the dude. |

Episode 107 Yeah that Palm's scene was pretty suspenseful, couldn't stop thinking about it for the rest of the episode. Great fight, Morel showing again how intelligent he is. |

Episode 108 Good catch on the King's name. That will definitely be relevant in the future with the king getting more and more confused about himself. Great development by the way, loved this episode. |

Episode 109 If the action starts within the next 2 episodes I'd consider the pacing perfect, any longer and I fear it might suffer from shounen-drag symptom. In my experience if you're building up tension there is a certain peak you can reach but if it takes too long it decreases again, but so far the timing in HxH was pretty much spot-on (probs to Madhouse) so I'm optimistic it stays that way. As for the episode, Knov's 'new' look is quite horrifying and I'm pretty sure Morel is gonna die when he's alone and at less than 40% of his strength :(. The developments inside the palace are very intriguing too and I want to finally know what Palm is up to. |

Well, it should technically begin near the end of the next episode, but the episode after that is where I'd say the gloves are officially off. From what I skimmed through, things escalate from there and all this build up starts to pay off big time. |

Episode 110 Damn, Madhouse, Y SO GOOD? http://i.imgur.com/HSLQIaN.jpg Aw, her image of the King is so admirable. LOL at their worst fear, but the sad thing is it's not far from the truth. Beautiful. Thank you, Togashi. Aw, they saved it for next time. (don't click this if you don't want spoilers) Okay, while I'm right in that shit will go down in the next episode, that episode unfortunately won't air until two weeks from now. D: |

I feel pretty confident a lot of fans will find "Last Mission" more to their liking than "Phantom Rouge". The story certainly seems more "canon" this time around, the tone is quite a bit darker, and it just feels more like Hunter X Hunter (though I quite liked "Phantom Rouge", which had its own charms). Madhouse brought in Kishima Nobuaki, one of the writers from the Nippon Animation adaptation, and I think that helped with continuity a bit. I think fans will be pretty happy - a non-Togashi movie just isn't going to have the same depth as his material but this is highly entertaining stuff. What we miss without Togashi is the deep psychological underpinnings of the story - these movies are mostly action-driven. I think the behavior of the main cast is very much in character, critically - we just don't dig nearly as deep into the reasons behind their actions as Togashi does. http://www.lostinanime.com/2013/12/hunter-x-hunter-last-mission.html |

I still haven't watched Phantom Rogue, but I'll get around to it eventually. I'm usually not very fond of filler, even in movie form. Words cannot describe Hisoka's greatness. Really, the only thing I don't like about this arc is the lack of Hisoka. I had to use google to learn what a "cel" was :P. That is an awesome collection indeed, though. |

Episode 111 Maybe its because I am incredibly tired right now, but this episode was pretty boring. It started off nice, but the way they told Netero's story almost put me to sleep. Also, that background story and epic looking move only resulted in a failed attempt to just PUSH Pitou far away? Lol, strange episode. Anyway, next week's episode should be greatness. Now, its time for me to get some sleep :P. |

Episode 112 Loved it. The King has just been such an awesome villain so far and this episode made me like him even more. So, Pitou was crying just before he used Doctor Blythe on the little girl. It got me thinking all the scenarios. Does that mean Pitou knows she is already dead and beyond healing? He wouldn't cry over the girl's death directly, but maybe because he had failed the King? Or maybe because Pitou knows his life is over once the King realizes the girl is dead. All I know is, the King is pissed and I don't know how Netero and the other guy is going to survive this battle. This arc just kicks so much ass! |

Episode 112 @Yoshi: Pitou didn't concern himself with Komugi's well-being back when the bird attacked her and the King entrusted Pitou to make sure something like that never happens again. However, this time, the result was much worse. He momentarily diverted his attention from Komugi when Netero and Zeno appeared, but in that short amount of time, he let down the King. Am I pretty yet? It's fisting time! Keep calm and kick rocks. Work dem thighs. Loved the silent monochromatic scene with the only addition of color being Komugi's blood. Looks like next week is gonna be the first real fight since the Smoke On The Water reference. |

Episode 112 I really like how Narrator is the one explaining and following most of the fights instead of the characters themselves. It puts more tension into the episode. Well now we have a pissed king against Zeno and Netero, get hyped. Hopefully Komugi doesn't end up dying though, she's a pretty good character. |

rofl brian xD Episodes 111 & 112 I'm definitely glad I waited for 2 episodes to be out. I agree it's great to have the narrator doing the explanation instead of the characters, it really preserves the atmosphere well. I do hope they pick up the pace a little bit, it feels like 1 min in-world time per episode right now which isn't gonna stay exciting forever. |

I take this back after looking at the manga: http://www.mangahere.com/manga/hunter_x_hunter/v25/c268/6.html The anime left out the narration about Pitou unsure of why he was crying which brings me to the conclusion that he was just so honored that the King would bestow upon him such an important duty that it brought him to tears. Double Yo-Yo Headshot! The narrator said "bordering" on fanaticism LOL. I think we're clearly past that point already. And then, Morel shows up like Yo, Even Thugs Cry. |

Episode 113 This battle has been pretty epic so far. We have saw Youpi unleash his power and I'm excited to see Pouf's power unleashed. It seems strange that Moral is taking him 1-on-1 while pretty much everyone contributed to the battle with Youpi. Also, I thought that Knuckle and Meleoron were just trying to get passed Youpi, but they are still hanging around the fight. |

Episode 113 @Yoshi: I think they collaborated so that Morel could leave and do his task of taking on Pouf. It wasn't really a fight yet, I doubt Youpi is finished anytime soon. Remember that their plan was to separate the royal guards from the king and take them on 2v1 each. Only Morel's partner got grey hair now, lol. It's not like Knuckle and Meleoron could do much against the king, I think the invisibility was there to place his ability on Youpi, and maybe more to come. Anyway, pretty intense episodes. They just go by so fast lately. |

Yeah, I had forgot about their 2v1 planning. I thought that Meleoron's ability was the key to taking down the king. Maybe they are just going to use him to place Knuckle's ability on the King as well, to weaken him a bit. It seems to me like everyone is at a disadvantage in their fights and I have no idea how they are going to take everyone down. That is a good thing though. The less predictable the better. |

That's a terrible shame, may he rest in peace. Episode 114 Loved the violin that accompanied Pouf's maniacal laughter and Shoot's "flight" was nicely done too. Gon's cheerfulness in the episode previews work in hilarious contrast to his current state of mind. xD |

Episode 114 Well, Shoot managed to take out one eye before reaching near death. Time to see if Knuckle can 1-up him, lol. Pretty excited to see Pouf's new form and some of his fighting abilities. Also, excited for the Gon x Pitou battle to get rolling. What I am most juiced for though, is seeing the King in a battle situation. Should be epic! |

Episode 115 Haha, Welfin has been smoking that good shit ;). Though, his skepticism is pretty accurate aside from suspecting Bravado of being in cahoots with Flutter (Ikalgo). I can't wait to see Gon go HAM on Pitou. This episode was pretty slow, but its doing a damn good job of building the anticipation for the fights. Also, Knuckle giving Youpi the finger was greatness! |

Episode 116 At the beginning of the episode I'm thinking, "Ok, there is no way Gon is going to do anything during the healing." It didn't take long for me to realize that this is an all new Gon. I seriously thought he was just going to obliterate both of them. I'm glad he didn't because that would have most definitely caused him to enter the "spiraling descent." Such an intense, "edge of your seat" episode. This could be the greatest arc I have ever watched in a series with multiple story arcs and it still has a ways to go before concluding. |

Episode 117 Figured Cheetu was about to kick the bucket. It didn't take long either, lol. I suppose his new power could have something to do with revival. I never thought he was very interesting anyway. This episode was ok. Clearly a set-up episode. Youpi going berserk was pretty crazy. Other than that, it was a slower episode. |

Episode 116 Damn, that was intense. You weren't the only one who wouldn't have been surprised if Gon decided to crush them after all. I think he should have taken a leg or something though, when he already offered it. Why should Pitou care about the promise after his job is done? |

Episode 117 The animations were a little weird when Youpi was going berserk. Cheetu was super useless, he got so much screen time and amounted to nothing, getting that kind of demise (similar to other ants). I guess he did keep Moral from being able to fight at 100%. Wondering how much he got paid for that 3 minutes, must've been very expensive if they couldn't hire him to help fight one of the guards... |

Episode 118 I liked the scenes with Ikalgo in his pursuit for Palm. I fear the worst for Palm. I really liked the battle between Knuckle and Youpi all the way up until the last minute save by Killua. I don't mind at all that Killua saves Knuckle, but kind of wished they wouldn't have used the shounen cliche "last second before death save." It just takes a bit away from Knuckle and Youpi's battle. Its all good though. Hunter x Hunter has done a good job of not overusing shounen cliches. You just can't avoid them all :P. Looking forward to Killua x Youpi. It should be epic!! |
