So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

FINALLY, after the amazing first ONA episode I was a bit disappointed with the 2012 follow-up ONA series.
I wonder what kind of series composition is behind it though, given the two recaps and one special episode. Maybe they will incorporate the other two versions?

Great news! I hope they keep the art style and make the story a little more comprehensible. Excellent that Toei will re-cast the same VAs.
Wow, really good news!

Her roles outside of her tsundere range are just fine. I suggest you watch the first ONA, afaik Toei published it on YT for a while and it is under half an hour.

To be honest, Kugimiya has a much larger range of voice and styles she could do. Thinking she is just one trick pony of tsundere is either ignorant or prejudiced or both. Even now she keeps surprising me with what voice she could do in anime.

People are still worried about her being typecast, even I was worried when she was going to be the voice of Aguri/Cure Ace in Doki Doki Precure but that turned out well, it's just the typecasting has left a bad taste in the viewership.

Thing is, those who hate her tsundere voice usually don't like the tsundere type (as depicted in anime anyway) in the first place anyway, and it often blinds them to the fact that Kugyuu can do a wide range of voices -- let's fact it she did not even start her career nor make her name known by doing tsundere voice (though she indeed got her stardom break by being the tsundere symbol). You mentioned Dokidoki Precure, and here she uses a voice that I seldom if ever heard coming from Kugyuu (for Cure Ace, though for Aguri her voice is more her familiar loli voice LOL) and it is a pleasant surprise to me.

Aguri/Ace is a good example, but a lot of people forget her voice acting as Alphonse from FMA as well which was imho really great.

Another generic show added to the fall line-up. Oh how I wish for something like AnoHana or Angel Beats to pop up and make me fall in love with anime all over again.
Those who can, should enjoy this though.

I think there are sufficient fresh or innovative elements in this anime for it to be called generic though. If this show is generic, then I am sure AnoHana and AB can also be called generic. Not that I am a fan of Kyousougiga but "generic" would be the last word I'd use to describe it.

Exactly, AnoHana is overly dramatic and quite cliched in my opinion.
Why don't you try out the classics of the medium, GuiltyKing? I find it ignorant to say such a thing with so many milestones unwatched.

Anyway, I just rewatched the long preview from 2011 and hope for an OST release as well in the near future.

I'd say we should way until the episodes are before we judge the quality. It is true that summer and fall look better than the last two seasons, though.

But we already have the movie and the ONAs which were great plus its by the same staff, I'd say her hype is justified. As far as other fall shows go we got original 2 shows that are being crafted by legendary directors a and a couple of adaptations with well received source material. Not to mention dem sequels. There is also a new gundam series, and everyone loves gundam.

I agree that the potential is great, but it's not like directors can't fuck up (Rebuild 3.33).

While I agree that directors can fuck up, I don't think 3.33 was one of those instances. But that is a conversation for a later time.
