Go to Japan and you'll find that the otaku fandom is dominated by shows like Madoka Magica, K-On and Evangelion while One Piece hits big with the non otaku crowd. The highest grossing Naruto film still didn't make nearly as much as the K-On Movie. Naruto is just another kids show over there. The concept of the big 3 doesn't exist either since One Piece is the only popular one of the three. |

| I've seen a few reasons from the anime community; • It 'copies' off Dragon Ball. • It's Shonen Jump • It's mainstream and from what I see, they hate all mainstream anime. • Fanbase • 'Otaku' making it look like Naruto is too mainstream to be anime. |
