| According to Jump Square Magazine, a new manga series of "Prince of Tennis" was announced. It will start publishing from Jump Square April issue which will be released on March 4th 2009. A parody manga of Prince of Tennis "Houkago no Oujisama (Prince of After School)" has started from the December issue of Jump Square Magazine. | WHAT!?!??!!??! Are you serious? This is good news. The Prince of Tennis manga was great (although I will admit that matches got a little power-crazy) towards the end, but this is interesting. Although I will set my expectations pretty low to begin with. Sequels are almost never as good as the original. My guess is that they'll go with a completely new story. Unless they follow Echizen after the Japan Nationals. Hmm... |
