| Loved the Ranko episode. Since this anime is called Sankarea..it's pretty obvious that Chihiro is going to end up with Rea. I don't really mind though, I never really liked Chihiro from the beginning. Hope to see more Ranko in the following episodes. |

| Ranko is definitely the underdog in this one. She's clearly in the friend zone for Chihiro who didn't look to thrilled at the prospect of being kissed. Loved the Engris movies. |

| Man the love triangle is getting somewhere. I just got into this anime (ordered it online, the Uncut from Funi) and almost dropped it with all the Rea and father stuff but I made it to ep.7 and now I wanna know how it will play out. Really enjoying the overall look of this anime, and so far I don't hate any of the character's beside the Old/Creepy father. I don't regret blindly buying this yet.. |

| My guess is that Rea will die/disintegrate or whatever and then Furuya will end up with Ranko. I'm not too fond of this semi-necrophilia of Furuya's. |

Yeah, in Asian families, after you've passed a certain age (like 12 or so) they will try to set you up with anyone, but more often than not it's more like typical meddling aunties banter. Unless its like this forgotten part of your family in some backwater, they don't seriously want cousins to marry. And even though it happens more often in anime, I don't think it fits this particular anime well at all. Overall I really don't get this ship. Wanko is supposed to play the role of older sister, yes she has been clinging to Chihiro from the beginning. She also is supposedly quite aware of her feelings and situation, yet she switches between hardcore tsundere and genuine reliable friend that doesn't care at all. Chihiro is supposed to be the typical dense MC, but you can't really blame him since Wanko initially had written him off, and,.. they're first cousins. |

| Cousin or not, imagine being less desired than a zombie. During her first appearance Ranko left the impression that she would play the tomboyish onee-san necking Chihiro at any given opportunity while also being the fanservive provider. Last episodes and her reactions definitely suggested more, but color me still surprised that this has become now officially a love triangle situation. Not the development I was hoping for, but not a reason for me to dislike this series. Enjoyed the backstory and both were cuties as children. Also nice scene where Ranko showed her resolve at the end. |

| i watched sankarea because i thought it was good supernatural romance and now i'm starting to think it's just SOL, which i love just that i didn't come into this thinking it's SOL, kinda disappointing, seeing how the first few episodes were so beautiful and epic! hoping for more chihiro and sankaaaaaa |

| Not that I don't want some backstory and insight into Ranko's character, but this episode felt out of place. It was kind of disrupting the flow of things when we really should still be primarily focused on Rea, showing us how she is adapting to the undead life, with Chihiro meanwhile trying to find a way to preserve her body. Because from what I remember, the poison leaves were just a quick fix and couldn't stop Rea from eventually DYING dying. But no we pulled the brakes on those hard for an episode and completely switched gears to focus on another character. Man I really hope they don't continue to go for those forced love triangle after this, although it seems that they will. It will just slow everything down, and we're already over halfway through the show. And if this love triangle ISN'T pursued, well then, this episode was pretty much completely pointless as it's main objective was to make it clear that Ranko was into Chihiro. Which, come on man. This bombshell that is Ranko should definitely give her attention to someone else other than "zombie otaku". This show felt like it came to a standstill ever since Rea became zombified, so for like the past 3 episodes or so. I hate to say it, but they need to put Rea's creepy dad back into the mix to keep things moving. But if they're trying to stay calm and wholesome for the meantime, I guess that can't really hurt either. oh yeah and I just remembered that they are actually cousins. Yes sir. |

| Hard for me to choose who's best girl Ranko or Sanka. But when it comes to the romance I prefer him with Sanka, but god damn it don't wanna see Ranko get hurt. |
| So Chihiro has always had a single-minded fixation on zombies. Props for consistency. Ranko taking some of that zombie concoction that turned Babu and Rea might give her a chance, honestly. I wouldn't mind such a development, as she's a really wilful, energetic and beautiful girl already. |
