I'm just wondering if anyone's nearby the Northeast US area, the NY Comic Con's got some good stuff going down from Feb 23-25. They've got a lot of things happening, comics, anime, MMOs. Plus they've got Stan Lee and Stephen King are gonna be there, as well as the AnimeNEXT library.

yea but I have no idea how many ppl live close by...I'm gonna be there anyway

As a New Yorker, I went for two years in a row. It's boring. The Starbucks is overpriced. Only some anime is there.

It's primarily American comics, and Viz gave out stale preview books (Summer 2003 anybody?). Megatokyo had a section too, it was essentially a bookstore.

So, other than two overglorified major retailer manga stores. Nothing of interest. Somebody from Viz cosplayed Kakkishi though. And they had some video games. Other than that, a total waste of time I must say.

Oops. I remembered wrong. No wonder I couldn't recall a second time. XDD Silly me. But I did go.

Yes, but it was especially overpriced. Overpriced in relative terms to another chains.

Manhattan is just overpopulated with Starbucks, every block has at least one. The placement is great too, let's place a starbucks in Barnes & Nobles and then place another on the block next to it!!!

I would love to go, but there's a 95% chance I'll have classes those days.
