| I lol'ed when Kaiji lost his part playing Pachinko. He's still such an idiot xD. I was just waiting for Endou to betray him. I'd go to the bank asap after getting all that cash. He's probably going to try to get revenge in season 3. I don't think the break between seasons will be as long as last time, considering that Kaiji seems to be really popular in Japan nowadays. So I say 2 years. |

| Am I the only one here who didn't like the 2nd season? It's not shitty by any means but it sucks compared to the 1st season. I mean there were like two games, that dice thingy and pachinko, and neither of them were really entertaining (especially if compared to the life threatening games in S1). Also Kaiji makes such a big deal about repaying his friends and then just wastes the money on pachinko? Hasn't he learned anything from his mistakes? No character development at all it seems. On top of that there's a sucky side cast with that old man crying even more than Kaiji and Ichijou, who's personality is completely shallow and childish ("I was treated bad in the past so I must rise to power and hurt everyone" HURR DURR). Also, who didn't see some kinda backlash coming the very MOMENT Kaiji (against better knowing) signed yet another shady contract from Endouh? It was so called for that he'd end up with nearly no money again... Maybe I'm a bit to harsh here, but I am really disappointed and can't rate this higher than 5/10. It has "mediocre" written all over it and it wasn't keeping me on the edge of my seat, as I was used to from S1. |

| Was anyone a little pissed off that Kaiji blew the left over winnings after freeing everyone on pachinko? Really? You just almost lost your life to slavery because of your gambling and the first thing you do is go back to it. What happened to his resolve to turn his life around at the beginning of season 2? Other than that it was the ending I hoped for. I 'm surprised to hear there is going to be a season 3 given this felt like closure on kaiji. Anyway 9/10. |

| I was disappointed with this season as well. Mostly because the bog arc took forever and lost its excitement/intensity fairly early... also wasn't the most interesting thing to begin with. At least it had a great final episode, very satisfying. Edges out a 7/10. |

| this was a good ending. Endou pretty much played kaiji but Kaiji did accomplish what he wanted. This season was great just didn't cover as much as the 1st |

I understand why people who didn't marathon this like I did would think it was too slow, but for me this season was just as good as the first one. Sure, the first one did have the most awesome gamble (restricted janken), but also the worst ones (human derby and amazing box). The human derby was kinda creepy I guess, but there were no tactics or mind games or strategies or anything like that involved (except for the stairs in the end maybe). Maybe the bog was slow, but at least the concept was awesome. Vanisher said: Theres nothing awesome about the bog. Thank you, I think we've understood your opinion by now. | Good conclusion to the series. The first season is still better in my opinion, as it really focused on not only the psychology of desperation, but also how cruel and inhumane we can be to our fellow man, whereas this one seemed to play more to the "Kaiji outsmarts his opponent" angle with a few flashes of S1 brilliance thrown in. |

| Marathoned this series last night... It was very epic, but a part of me wishes I had never read the manga before hand... I think it cost me a unique experience. The manga was very amazing, and when I originally read through it, it was by far my favorite story of all time. Watching the anime, I realized the suspense of the bog just wasn't the same after knowing what's going to happen. So I'm really mixed here. It's hard to say amazing things when the enjoyment factor was lower than it could have been. It was the same as the manga, and I rated that very highly and knew it as my favorite story of all time, but since the series doesn't really have rewatch/reread value, I enjoyed the anime less. Anime is my favorite form of media. The music, sound effects, and animation usually make it much more powerful than manga, in my opinion. So I think I've effectively ruined what could have been one of my favorite animes of all time, just by having read the manga. Very sad here. Very sad. Oh, I liked that above guys idea of rating the arcs. Here's mine: Bog > Chinchirorin > E-Card > Human Derby > Restricted Rock Paper Scissors > This box is awesome For the record, all of them ridiculously epic. |

| I just freaking loved this ending. And it actually has some pretty good character development for Kaiji. We got to see what kind of a man he really is. Never backing down from his word, even if all the odds are stacked against him. Because he gets screwed over on a daily basis he knows better than anyone to never ever break the promises he makes. It really shows character. But then there is also the sad pathetic human part of him. Kaiji is, and always will be a loser. That's what makes him so human. He gets 1 break and immediately thinks thing will turn out in his favor. This fault is also a very human trait. He's not the ultimate gamber, but the ultimate surviver. A great man, but a very sad and hopeless fool as well. And that's what makes him so interesting. |

| The only thing I can think of to say is: Most satisfying fucking ending ever. So happy I decided not to read the manga until after the anime ended. If I hadn't seen it animated first then I might not have loved S2 as much as I did. |
