| Man, what a rollercoaster ride! Honestly, I got emotional when everyone was reading Menma's messages. It's really amazing how all of us got so emotionally invested to these characters in such a short period of time (11 episodes!). All the characters are likable (heh, even Yukiatsu, that dress sniffing prick) and the music was great! When "Secret base" was playing near the end, I just lost it... :') Ano Hana is definitely the best anime of 2011. |

| I was hoping that everyone could see Menma at the end... seems like that happened. Anyways, I pretty much enjoyed this anime overall. I liked the music alot, didnt skip the OP / ED when watching an episode. The story got my attention aswell, haven't thought for a second "ahw this is soooo boring." Did I cry? no, why? Maybe because I expected most things to happen? Maybe because Clannad: After Story destroyed me? I have no idea why. Well, I had teary eyes at Poppo's story + at the end where the letter were found. Score 9/10 |
| I cried SO hard this episode. I'm speechless, it ended beautifully. I'll miss you Menma, and all the characters of this amazing show. I was planning for a 9, but it gets a 10. 5/5 10/10 :) |

| This is the only anime that made me cry so much :') I've been jerking tears for other animes like Clannad and the like but this... is just too much. I can't believe 11 episodes made me love all of the characters quickly and made me cry like that :). I'm satisfied with the ending and pretty much everything :P |

| the ending was just amazing, i have rly grown to love this anime despite the short length and im completely satisfied with how it turned out. overall this was just beautiful and im very glad i got into this ^^ |
| ending couldn't have been better.. seriously, it's been like so long since I've finished an anime with such a satisfying ending.. my only preference was to see all 5 of them in the future, maybe 10 years or so in the last few seconds of the anime with them together in the club house.. also the likely pairs being married.. |

| Few sniffles throughout the show but the last two episodes had me in tears. Im glad I watched it Last few scenes in the credits seemed to indicate that they were starting to move on and the couples were finally starting to get together |

| Bit disappointed with the ending. Its fine for things to be melodramatic but it seems the producers tried too hard to get everyone crying and screaming as much as possible. Would have appreciated a bit more subtlety. Nevertheless, very sweet anime with fine production values. |

| i was entertain the whole time 10/10 for me. lots of tears for the ending great show! i was so happy that they all got to see her at the end. the whole hide and seek thing was so sad. man poppo actually saw her when she died that some sad stuff right there, to have been holding such a secret... and the title finally made some sense :D man i love happy endings! |

| I just finished watching them all. Unbelievable. Even though it was a little drawn out, the ending was tearjerking. I haven't been that sad since the ending to CLANNAD afterstory. To be honest, I feel a little empty now. The epilogue just wasn't long enough. |

| I won't bring up the score-table I often use to score the animes I've ended watching for some reason... probably because this show can't be scored accurately by it. I really liked how this episode started - everyone happened to be tortured by something in their inner selves. Tsuruko being jealous of Anaru... I didn't see this coming. And even the always-cheerful Poppo wasn't feeling quite well. Menma's main reason to return as a ghost kinda surprised me too, but I guess it's totally normal for her. And it explains why only Jintan could see her I guess, and that was probably the biggest mystery about this anime. Considering the ending itself - it was somewhat beautiful, even if it didn't fully satisfy me. Probably that's one of the reasons I'm not gonna score Ano Hana at 10. It was really nice and happy ending, I admit it, but still I can't help but not feel totally well with it. It may be that I expected something more bitter-sweet. ._. Overall I really like this anime, I felt great about it. Somewhere during the middle of the show I found myself wondering why are all the hypes about Ano Hana - idk if things were going too slow, or they were just not dramatic enough for me. I'll blame the hypes the anime got before I started watching it - probably it got me too fired up and I got the wrong impression about it. Well, once again I understood why people feel so great about Ano Hana during the last three episodes - they were really emotional, I probably loved them more than the start of the show. The characters overall were 101% great for me - not one of them felt out of place, unneeded or something like this. I can't give 10, but I won't feel too good about 8 too. I'll score it 9/10 because of the last three episodes, they really made the characters even better, showing us what were they hiding all this time. Giving it 9 doesn't make feel like the show was any bad. I think it was perfect for what it turned out to be, and even the number 9 makes me feel somewhat good for unknown reason. After all the ending wasn't all that happy. In fact it was so sad, the my computer froze just after the last second of the last song(the one after the OP), and respectively - the last second of the last episode, passed ;__; |

| Well that was an absolutely fantastic series, to be honest I wasnt quite into it in the first few eps but it really surprised me and it showed me that it does deserve its place in the rankings. 9/10 from me! :) |
| I couldn't stop the tears. Such a beautiful ending! You could really feel all the emotions, and when Jintan couldn't see Menma, that part was awful. Poppo's confession was highly unexpected. They could resume everything in just one final chapter, that was great. I'm happy they continued being friends without Menma. Great show. 10/10 without hesitating. |

| After the many recommendations and hype about this series, I marathoned the entire thing and was a bit disappointed. Maybe I need to gain a heart or something, I dunno. I don't think it was all that great, especially compared to say, Angel Beats. I think the reason why was because I didn't feel much love for any of the characters at all, including Menma. It was decent though. 7/10. |

| Very touching end and cried a bit. The seiyuu's did a fantastic job, I could feel every bit of their emotion. A well deserved 10 out of 10. |
| it was a nice anime.. and i was set on giving it a nine but i thought that depending on the ending, i might give it a 10.. And I thought so.. The ending was *GAHHHH* touching! the hell! I really cried! A very touching story for an eleven episode anime.. weeeeee. Totally liked it. Amongst the girls, Menma is the least i liked but in the end, what the?! I thought, how admirable of her.. I liked her, all equal. :DD 10/10 .. end! |

| I don't understand... They completely squandered 10 great episodes of emotional build up and tension. Instead of a focused narrative that brings closure to this anime, we have 24 minutes of crying. It was so... forced... and sounded like an info dump... It was so crudely done... and on cue, most people cry simply because the characters on screen were crying... The other 10 episodes had great moments of emotion (i.e. Menma writing in the notebook, the fireworks scene, reconcilliation between Jintan and Yukiatsu). I feel so robbed... |

| this episode was so emotional and so touching. i really wish menma stayed with jinta forever, though. her saying she loved him enough to marry him was so heart-wrenching, and then to disappear like that was too sad for me. and even if she was reincarnated, it would be very unusual for menma to be able to catch up with all of them, especially jinta. still, this series was truly amazing! |

I haven't looked through all of the comments obviously (thus quoting something that appeared on page 1 of the comments) but I imagine that some apathetic people probably found this ending lame... while a bunch of us probably found it super emotional and heart-breaking. (I'm in the latter. Does that make me lame? Whatever. :D ) I thought it was an excellent ending. So sad. Especially when they were all yelling "Mou ii kai?!" for hide-and-seek at the end... and Menma yelled back "Mou ii yo!". ;_; |
| The hide and seek calls really killed the mood for me. And the wailing, and screaming were got to the point of annoying. Although i did get teary eyed when he read what kind of love she felt for him. |

| all that shouting part is overly done that it killed my mood to cry. I freaked out when Jinta couldn't see Menma anymore. Glad Tsuruko&Yukiatsu getting along better.. Yes i'm a freaking machine..I didnt cry on this final episode.. |
| The overdone melodrama almost made it comical which is a shame. The show definitely had a lot of potential, with the characters and their history together and all, but the staff didn't come through at all in the end. A major, major disappointment. Still one of the better shows from 2011. |
